It's within walking distance of everything in town and even tough it is literally on main street, I slept like a baby! It was incredibly quiet and even though it was totally booked, I didn't hear anyone else. The rooms were impeccable and I would never have known any pet had been in the room if I wasn't told. We stayed in the Palomino room. It was a very roomy room with a small kitchenette (microwave and mini fridge) which was plenty since all I had were leftovers. The converted large walk-in closet allowed for plenty of room for everything my beloved cat, Luna. Even though we were on a quiet getaway, when I had to get some work done (boo!) the wi-fi was incredibly fast! The staff was so nice and helpful with local information. We will be back soon!!!!

The accommodations are just as described on their website and everything was sparkling clean. The room was also pet friendly and we visited with our dog. They have poop bags and bins for guests to use which is nice. We just loved relaxing with a cocktail on the private deck. The views at sunset are phenomenal. They even have a gate so your pet is secure on the deck. Overall a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay again on future adventures.

My mother (65+) had the best of intentions to book a stay here for our family including my 90 year old grandmother. She booked it a month in advance and was asked to pay ~$300 in advance for a "suite," and room for all of us. As a word of caution, it is never ok for a hotel to ask for all the money up front. A deposit is normal but not the entire amount. After driving for hours we arrived. Upon arrival, the entrance was not clearly marked. Upon searching, there was a gate with a cell number to call to check in. I called this number and a man shows up in beatup truck with a dog in tow. He immediately told us that he had given part of our room reservations away. There was never a phone call to let us know about this change. He also told us that there were two beds in one room without a bathroom on the bottom floor but we could use the shared bathroom upstairs with 3 other rooms. (I believe that this is a hostel situation?) When we expressed concern about my grandmother's mobility, he offered us a bucket to use. When he showed us the room, the stench of urine punched us in the face. I am not sure other guests elected for the "bucket offer." Additionally, the mattresses appeared to be in accordion arrangement with dirty linens. As tension built, one of the people in our party requested restitution for the inconvenience of getting there and our room being double booked. When this was requested, the owner told us that we needed to leave. According to many reviews we have read in retrospect, this is a common pattern from the owner of this hotel. In the midst of this chaos I took my grandmother across the street to get a soda and food. We learned more about this business from the owner of the restaurant. We learned that he has been in conflict with other business owners in this town. Avoid this place at all costs as nothing good can come from doing business with this hotel.

Waterfalls , hiking trails , shopping, off road trails , dog park , water park ... and that's not even it ! For such a small town I'm impressed ! The hotel we picked is nice , not super luxurious but quaint . Friendly , helpful staff . They have a swing to sit on at the top of their hot springs tubs . I saw a lot of complaints about their hot tubs but there was a staff of people cleaning them today and some of them looked " slimier" than others , those looked like the ones most used . Up top were the best ones , but slippery getting in so be careful ! They have breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage , bacon , waffles etc . We didn't go until after 9am and yes , they still had food and more coming out . Only complaint is that we have dogs ( there is a $30 person per night fee ) and had to stay on bottom floor .. the problem was that you could hear through the walls the people walking above you and to the side of you. ( I think the lady next to us was being extra loud when talking . However we did not get woken up by our neighbors so maybe just a one off ... anyways I would stay here again . Comfy bed , hot, hot showers .. iron., hair dryers .. coffee maker . You have to visit Ouray , Colorado at some point in your life!

Rooms at the lodge are large, but dated and often dirty. Bathrooms are musty and shower curtains have mildew. A guest in our party used the handicap room and the bathroom, with its bath tub, was not handicap accessible. Breakfast was fine, but the breakfast area is small and cramped. Check in was chaotic, with the lodge clearly understaffed. Staff, however, was very friendly. Nearly a dozen hot spring spas behind the hotel, but all had algae in them.
