It was easy to hop in line and once I did, I was scanned in and given a wristband to make everything speedy once the event officially started. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable! Once the event started, the party came out swinging strong and never let up until the end. The music was phenomenal and the DJ definitely knew his stuff! The food from everyone there was phenomenal and I had some of the best lox and bagel I've had in a long time, as well as some refreshing coconut water that had the design of the event engrained on the side! The food was plenty and the drinks kept flowing they definitely were not cheap on either end. My one thing I didn't care for was that a couple of the vendors food was cold even though the event had only started thirty minutes prior. A couple vendors also ran out of food relatively early in the night. The drone show was so cool that they had this year and I absolutely loved how visually beautiful it was and it was a great way to close the night! I'll definitely be back to this event next year!

What a great event with music, entertainment, wine, and food…read more The place was packed! After scanning our tickets and getting wrist bands, we headed to the tables for our glasses and swag bags. The bags were empty, but there were opportunities to fill your bag throughout the park -- sunglasses, spices, lights, candles, etc. The lines for the wines and alcohol drinks were the longest, of course. We sampled all sorts of food from pasta to tres leches to cookies. Jerked pork to curry. Sausages to bread. My favorites included the middle eastern fare of babbaghanoush and humus with gyros and pita. And their baklava! Yum. Also really enjoyed was the restaurant (Urban Thai and Sushi) with the curried chicken over white rice. They also had a gyoza. Oh, did I mention henna painting, 360 photos, pictures, fire dancers, etc etc? Thanks Yelp South Florida for our tickets this year. Most appreciated!! And such fun.

I've been going to the Wynwood art walk for many years and have seen that one grow into a huge event, and even Fort Lauderdale's FAT Village Art Walk has become a pretty big affair with lots of vendors. For some reason, I was expecting Hollywood's to be pretty small, so it was surprising to see so many vendors in the artisan market on 20th Ave between Tyler & Harrison St - many of them were familiar from the FAT Village Art Walk, Food in Motion, and other local events but there were some new ones there that I hadn't seen before. We love these little craft markets, and there was live music at the end of the street with chairs for people to sit and listen. Stroll up and down the street & you'll find some galleries to check out too! We popped into Gallery 2014 on Harrison St and Mercedes Bravo was doing a live painting session. That woman can paint! She uses wine to paint these gorgeous water color paintings, and it was pretty fascinating to watch a painting come together there in the gallery. Right next to Gallery 2014, Jeff Lee's Resurrection Drums crew and artist Daniel Pontet were doing a percussion/art fusion event, with Daniel Pontet painting with his feet to the beat of the drumming - very cool! All in all, a very fun way to spend a Saturday evening!

They had things to entertain the children like games and entertainers. Everyone looked like they were having fun. The parking is public. The area has two garages nearby and some street parking.

I have been to church carnivals that had better food than this one. I had a falafal on stale pita with bluchy fries for $14 since there was also a $1 fee to use my credit card. My husband and kid shared a $13 turkey leg (the only thing that was good). We tried to get some zepolis but were told to come back in an hour. There was only one ice cream vendor so the line was ridiculously long during the day. My kid loved all the rides she rode, however on the super slide the woman running it was so annoyed at a parent for letting her toddler run wild she yelled an "f" bomb at the parent. Okay the parent deserves it but the language wasn't necessary. There were way too many games that no one was playing. Parking was free but confusing. The bathrooms were disgusting. The point of a fair is to have animals...none. All in all, my kid had fun....but we won't go again next year.

Held annually in March, the Dania Beach Marine Flea Market is a huge....it will take you more than…read morea day to cover it all...flea market specific to marine and nautical items. It has in excess of 300 vendors, some with new retail items, others with used items, and some dealing in what I could only at best term as being nothing but junk. But it has a solid following. It's been in business for over 41 years, so that is a record difficult to argue about. Held in the parking lot of the Big Easy Casino it's like going on a treasure hunt without a map. You just hope you wonder into whatever is your treasure. For the common needs it's a great place to purchase required life preservers, various pennants, burgess, poles, flags, fishing equipment and the like at far less prices than at places like West Marine. But be wary of mechanical things that they say are better as they are already "broke in" when in fact they are already "broken." Unlike other flea markets they charge you to get in. This year the standard one day admission was $12.00. Though singularly not a lot of money, it's a whole lot of money to just enable you to shop and buy at a flea market. But then again maybe not all that different than be charged to shop at Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's or the like. Now, I've been to all sorts of marine flea markets. Dania is the only one. There is the Pompano Nautical Flea Market combined with a Seafood Fest, the Martin County, Indian River Flea Market, Palm Beach Marine Flea Market, the Treasure Coast flea markets and a whole lot of others. As I've been to all of them, I'm going Four Yelp Stars on the Dania Beach Marine Flea Market as it is one of the bigger and better nautical Flea Markets.

Wish I knew this while I was there…read more Came early Friday morning, paid the $10 entrance fee and spent the next few hours meandering up and down the isles looking at all the wonderful things I didn't know I needed. I seem to do this a lot. I did manage to purchase a few small trinkets but had intentions on coming back the next weekend with a pocket full of cash. Well now I have to wait a year. Everything nautical and more. From boats and engines to clothes and jewelry. There were parts and pieces for every kind of boat. Also furniture and decorations for bigger ones. Fishing gear, electronics etc. and all at flea market prices. If you didn't like the price you could probably find it in the next isle or just barter a bit. I will be back next year and better prepared. Oh and they have beer. So till next year Cheers

I was at their shop right before it closed and purchased crystals and reiki candles for my mother…read more She was really out of balance and had numerous medical evaluations with different specialists after being diagnosed with early breast cancer a few months prior, so I decided she should try crystals. I went to this shop for the first time and felt such serenity. I could have honestly been there all day. The owners were great. I told them I wanted to help my mother but didn't give them any details. They directed me to get the 7 chakra candles and crystals that were prepared with reiki by Armando. He instructed me how they should be used and it worked. My mother meditated with the candles and crystals on numerous occasions and not only did all her medical evaluations come back negative she's healthier than she's been in a long time. I feel that she is better not only because she has had a positive attitude and I gave her those candles with love but also because of how they were prepared. The worst food & wine festival ever! OMG what a freaking rip off! So disorganized. The long lines…read morein the heat, wet grass, lousy service...20 mins into this atrocious event and I had barely grabbed 1 ounce of bad wine. Not to mention that after making the long and dreadful line at one of the stands, the vendor had ran out of food! Ugh! What a fiasco! The participating vendors and event organizers should have expected the crowds and not run out of foods. NEVER AGAIN! I want to ask Rush49 for my money back! it was like highway robbery and a total insult to everyone in attendance.

Today, during the Saturday World Cup Watch Party, I decided to go to the movie. Now some may say that was the less smart part, but I disagree. Even though I wasn't there to cheer on Colombia, the excitement of the whole scene was palpable. And when I ducked into the cold AC of the theatre, I felt smarter indeed. Today's movie was Tuner, which has a 94 score on Rotten Tomatoes. Dustin Hoffman plays a great supporting role. Suspenseful, emotional, exciting, a but nerve wracking. A popcorn-shoving spectacle to behold.
