After the Shakira concert, we were starving and randomly found Aurora Market and Restaurant in Hallandale--and WOW. This place is a total gem. Open 24 hours, but the food and experience felt like a high-end dinner spot. We ordered several dishes and everything was outstanding. The "chudu " (a flatbread from Pakistan) was warm, fresh, and delicious. The shawarma was massive, juicy, and full of traditional flavor. The chicken skewers were perfectly grilled, and the Greek salad--so simple but so perfectly dressed--was fresh and satisfying. Nothing felt heavy or greasy, just clean, homemade goodness. Even the water was at the perfect temperature--every detail was cared for. The ambience? So impressive. Spotlessly clean, with beautiful minimalist décor--modern, cozy, and welcoming. You can tell real thought went into the design, making it a place you'd gladly enjoy for both casual and special meals. And the service was beyond exceptional. The man who helped us took the time to explain every dish, made sure we were getting what we wanted, and you could feel how much he cared about our experience. This isn't just a late-night spot--it's a destination. Whether it's 2 AM or 6 PM, you're getting top-tier quality. Will absolutely be back!

    BREAD!!

Me and my family were eyeing at this place for about two days. So we went, and I got a lagman with no lamb because I don't eat lamb. Yet, anyway, my family got chicken and beef shawarmas. The service was amazing as well, and if you speak Russian it's even better. So, I enjoyed my lagman miraculously and it was amazing. We also got served two huge bread slices which we enjoyed as well, and they were hot. But when my family tried their shawarmas, they thought that it was too salty. For me personally I thought it was fine, but my family decided not to eat it. Luckily though we got the chicken shawarma removed from our paycheck because we didn't eat it, so that was nice. But overall, the ambiance and music was cute, the seating was nice, and the service and food was pretty good too, I'd just be careful if you're ordering the shawarmas.

Despite the growing Russian-speaking population living in southern Florida their cuisine remains relatively underrepresented in the city's restaurant scene, compared to, say, New York.  Fear not -- "Browardgrad's" establishments can still take diners on a great culinary tour of the former USSR countries, without the hassle of a lengthy visa procedure.  There's far more on offer than dumplings and vodka in this new Aurora Market Restaurant, catering to many tastes and covering a variety of regional cuisines, from Eastern Europe and Siberia to Central Asia and the Silk Road. This restaurant combines a tongue-in-cheek reference to nostalgia, the process of chopping onions and a beetroot soup that's far more enjoyable to eat than to pronounce, especially when sour cream is involved. Combine borshcht with some hot starters -- Dolma (grape leaves stuffed with meat) or cheburek (deep-fried pasties) -- and prepare to fight the food coma.

I had lunch here yesterday, we live close by and wanted to finally see what the vibe and the food was like. The waitress was super lovely and knowledgeable about the menu. She explained to us the concept , the dishes, she also brought some water out for our dog and a fan bc we sat outside. I thought that was excellent attention to detail and customer service! I believe her name is Andrea. For the food we got the eggplant salad, my boyfriend got the skewers beef/lamb with veggies and I got the chicken skewers with fries and some cabbage that came with it. The eggplant salad was very refreshing and homey. It was great to combat the heat and the flavor was light but delicious ! We really enjoyed it. My boyfriend's skewers were very dry and okay tasting, his veggies had no seasoning or dressing. He didn't love what he ordered unfortunately. My chicken was the highlight show stopper, it was chicken thighs which I love!! So juicy so flavorful!! My fries were cold unfortunately and the cabbage on my plate was also seasonless and had no dressing. I didn't mind too much bc I put the eggplant salad on it and it became flavorful instantly. We were a bit shocked to walk inside and see the refrigerators empty it was a bit strange. The waitress explained to us they are opening the deli side in a few weeks. I would highly recommend the chicken and the eggplant salad, Can't wait to be back when all of it is open!

    Uzbek pilaf and strawberry mojito

Me and my friend dined in and had the Uzbek pilaf, strawberry mojito and mantu. All of the food was amazing, the Uzbek pilaf was our favorite. Service was very nice, both the server and chef were really sweet. Definitely would come back here again and recommend!

It's a kind of place that you come with your family start with a Mediterranean sampler because of course it's going to bring a little bit of everything then the chicken Shawarma, which, with the creamiest dreamier sauce the halloumi but those lamb chops I think my biggest regret was not ordering more of the lamb chops, like I was literally drooling on that. There's even a seven spaces burger with actual lamb. You have to check them out.

Avoid this place at all costs…read more This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The falafel was terrible, the chicken kebob plate was awful, and the overall food quality was completely unacceptable for somewhere calling itself Mediterranean cuisine. The dish claimed to come with peppers there was literally one tiny piece in the entire kebab. The chicken had no flavor and tasted poorly, and the rice was completely off, more like Mexican rice than anything remotely Mediterranean. What's even more frustrating is the way the staff handled it. When we raised concerns, they didn't take any responsibility and brushed it off as if the issue was on us. No attempt to fix the problem, no acknowledgment just dismissive and unprofessional. And somehow, they charge a mandatory 20% service fee for this. For what? There was zero service, zero care, and zero effort to make things right. Charging customers extra while delivering this level of food and attitude is unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money here. There are far better options out there. Honestly, I'd take store-bought hummus from Publix over this. If you actually want good Mediterranean food and proper service, go to Ethos instead it's night and day. This place is not worth it.

The interior is clean and nicely decorated, with nice lamps along with clean tables and chairs. They also have outdoor seating through the breezeway. The staff were really friendly. The person who seemed to be the owner personally checked on us multiple times, and offered nice suggestions for entrees based on our tastes. The other servers as well were really nice too. My favorites of the entire meal were the manti (Turkish dumplings) and the chicken soup. The manti were small beef dumplings served in a delicious tangy yogurt sauce with some sort of spicy oil on top. They were very filling. The chicken soup was rich, with chicken, carrots, celery and parsley. It had a nice lemon note as well. The entrees - the kabab and the guvec - were hearty and had good flavor. The guvec was really hot (temp wise) because of the clay pot. Kunefe rounded out the meal. Could have used a bit more nuts but otherwise great. Great little spot for dinner!

The last two times I've gone with my family and ordered the special for 4 or more at $45.00 a head. They bring you every Greek specialty in different platters(Dips, Meats, appetizers, seafood, etc) which is excellent and always plenty to take home. The first time the waiter didn't just have time and wants you in and out but had plenty of time to add an 18% gratuity ($55.00) before pushing us out. This week we went for my daughter's birthday (mentioned, received nothing but again that gratuity over $50) Food was excellent, never saw the waiter, big platters of food that we all shared out of dessert plates for each of us, the food kept coming , the plates were never changed to a dinner plate, we had our whole dinner on dessert plates, food all over the table (2 small children) never cleaned up, I asked for more napkins and a stack of thin cocktail napkins were put on our table. As for the ambience, if you choose to be inside during the bellydancing show- be prepared to be overstimulated and not be able to hear anything that your table was saying to you. Make sure you're in the mood for extremely loud music and chaos all over. if you're in the headspace, it's a great time! If you're not in the mood for the madness, eat outside! I literally can't wait to go back to this restaurant... PS obviously beach parking can be complicated but they have valet for five bucks, which is really helpful!
