They had a nice selection of pastries, all looked delicious and fresh. I had a pain au chocolat and it was AMAZING, so flaky, fresh, buttery, and the dark chocolate was perfectly melty and just the right amount of sweet. So delicious. We ordered 2 mimosas that were PERFECT, paired with fresh squeezed orange juice which made a huge difference. I had the tomato prosciutto panini after our server recommended we try them, and it did not disappoint. It was genuinely outstanding. Perfectly soft and crispy in the right ways, with delicious pesto, generous amounts of prosciutto and cheese, and tangy oven roasted tomatoes, seriously a 10/10. It also came with a nice side salad. My friend had a honey and Brie panini that she also LOVED and talked about on the way home. Our server was also incredibly kind and personable, giving us time and recommendations on food and providing awesome service. This is such a great hidden spot with a nice menu and totally reasonable prices for quality food! 10/10.

Some places become part of your life without you realizing it at the time, and this is one of those places for me. José and I loved coming here together, enjoying the donuts, the coffee, and simply spending time with each other. Those ordinary little moments became some of the memories I treasure most today. Every time I come back, there is a part of me that feels like he is still here with me. Beyond the sentimental meaning it has for me, The Salty has always been special in its own right. The donuts are creative, beautiful and delicious, the coffee is wonderful, and there is always something new to try. But no menu item could ever be as important to me as the memories this place holds. Thank you for unknowingly being part of our story. José is no longer physically here to come with me, but whenever I visit, I carry him with me -- and for a little while, it feels like we're having coffee and something sweet together again. The food came out quickly and tasted ok--nothing special. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Our server never smiled, and it wasn't just with our table; we noticed the same interaction with other guests as well. There was no greeting, no check-in during the meal, and the service felt like it was simply taking our order and coming back with the check. The food was enjoyable, but the lack of hospitality really affected the overall experience. Sadly, we probably won't be back.
