This restaurant has pretty good and consistent Thai food. The Thai fried rice is good. The spring rolls and soup that come with the lunch special really add a lot to the experience. The chicken with basil sauce is good. This is a good place to grab a Thai iced tea as well. Things you may want to know: if you lean back on your seat and raise it up like a kid, you will get reprimanded. Lunch is until 3:30. 3:31 is dinner. They are pretty serious about this. I tried to order take out in person with my infant baby in the stroller and my service dog and was immediately stopped by the staff at their double glass doors as I'm struggling to bring my stroller in. Rather than try to hold the door to allow me in with the stroller to order take out, they were telling me to go back outside so they can take my order out on the sidewalk because they don't allow pets. I showed them he is a service dog and they still insisted to make me go back outside to take my order because they have customers seated (2 tables in the entire place), and even the customers seating told them to allow us in. The most rude and cruel staff refusing to take my order inside with an infant and a service dog. Never ordering from this place again they deserve zero stars. read more

I went with the fried spring rolls and vegetable pad Thai. The spring rolls were very good, fried nicely, not greasy. I liked the vegetable mix that was on the inside too, not just filler veggies. There aren't many thai places in ditmars but this one is definitely the best. You can't beat their prices or lunch specials. I always order the crab rangoon here which has the strong kani flavor and is more filling bases. The cucumber sauce is addicting! I recently tried their spicy calamari which is also delicious! They cut it up into pieces instead of circles but the spicy mayo & hot sauce go great together. My go to is the spicy basil fried rice. The rice is full of flavor and had a clear sauce mixed in. Their mock dock is delicious and cooked with the rice so it absorbs the flavor. Great portions too! I tried the green curry as well that was pretty good. More on the liquidy side rather than the creamy side. Lots of yummy bamboo shoots but the eggplant was a little undercooked. Not to sweet but not spicy either. Favorite Thai spot in Astoria. The quality is consistent and the staff is always helpful.

The food is very good, but we were served the crispy spring rolls in a plastic container not meant for heat. The spring rolls melted the plastic (which is one of the more toxic PS 6 Polystyrene types). We consumed the spring rolls without seeing the melted plastic until we reached the bottom of the container. I'm pregnant, and this plastic is proven to affect a baby's brain development. We are not happy at all with this! Don't order unless they stop using these containers for hot food! read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this might have been my worst dining experience in the better part of a decade. I was craving Thai food, and decided to try a place I'd never tried before. I ordered drunken noodles and crispy calamari, and my boyfriend ordered pad thai and dumplings. Run of the mill orders that, even if mediocre, would be totally fine and yummy. This, however, was not mediocre. The dumplings were awful, the calamari was rubbery and soggy, the drunken noodles were somehow both dry and oily, and my boyfriend said his pad thai tasted like literal garbage. I'm not sure if it was because the restaurant was a little over an hour away from closing when we ordered or what, but this was by far the worst Thai food I've ever had, and the worst dining experience I've had since moving to New York. Maybe give this place a try if you're curious, but maybe go for lunch when the food is likely more fresh than we received. read more

Astoria has once again produced a gem of a restaurant. Just had my first pick up meal from this spot and oh my was it fantastic. I had the Spicy Brown Sauce from the wok with eggplant, roasted chilis, scallions and chicken. It was amazing, the eggplant was perfectly cooked, the sauce was zesty with mild sweetness. I have been ordering a lot Asian/Chinese takeout from Astoria and LIC. This is far and away the best. The prices are good too. Next time don't order Chinese, just get it from these guys. My go-to Thai restaurant is closed for the holiday weekend so I took a chance on this place tonight and unfortunately was disappointed. I ordered the spicy basil chicken for delivery so I can't speak to the ambience of the place. It arrived in a little less than an hour and the delivery person was very pleasant. Upon opening the bag I immediately noticed the sauce was very thin & runny, almost like broth. Personally, I prefer sauce to be thicker so it coats the chicken & vegetables. Then I tasted the chicken. It was bone dry. Even in the soupy sauce the chicken was unbearably dry. I tried to add the rice to soak up the liquid, but the whole thing turned into chicken rice soup. The spicy calamari is one of my favorites, it's so good and the sauces on it are amazing. I ordered a Thai iced tea, shrimp kimao. My partner had a chicken pad Thai which he enjoyed and was happy with the spice level (he requested spicy and they delivered!) My shrimp kimao was enjoyable, very flavorful and well-seasoned. The portion size is also great. I am interested in trying out their lunch specials, I came in for dinner. The service is friendly and fast. Tried san aroy for the first time yesterday after just moving to the area. I always need a good Thai spot close by! I ordered takeout which was fast, and decently priced. The chicken pad Thai was the home run for me. Solid and had all the expected flavors.. I also ordered the drunken noodles. They were a little more in the disappointing side. Very greasy and the spice was just OVER powering. I love spice but it just destroyed my Pallet completely.
