My mom really wanted to come to this winery because she heard they served Stella Rosa wines. They had Stella Rosa wines that we haven't seen at our grocery store before so it was really fun to try them! They were all really sweet and funny enough, we didn't like any of the ones we tasted in our tasting course. Lol but the gal behind the counter did pour us a taste of the Stella Rose Mango Chile and we loved it!! Had to buy a few bottles to take home. The location isn't the nicest as it's right off the highway but it's spacious and they serve food. It's a much more casual winery.

Me and my family ended up stoping here on our way out of San Jose and headed towards San Diego. We needed some time to stretch out legs, and what better way than at a winery? The building is very cute and clean. It has a very open vibe to it and feels inviting. We were greeted at the door right away with wine samples! There were even non-alcoholic samples ready for the kiddos or non drinkers. We ended up sitting and eating here as well. The food is a bit pricey but it was still tasty and the portions are big. They do offer kids meals. Personally, I ordered a shrimp pasta plate. It was pretty good! I forgot to say no mushrooms so I pushed those off to the side and was fine. I also ordered mozzarella sticks for the table and those were pretty good as well! My kiddo and sister shared a pizza and they said it was really good. It came with a hearty amount of pepperonis on it which was nice. After eating, we got to explore the store! Lots and lots of wine options available. They sell a few other items like pasta, pasta sauce, small stuffed items, candles, etc. while shopping the staff was so nice about letting me and my mom sample wines before committing to buying a bottle of it. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable about tastes. Overall, this was a great winery experience! We left with more wine bottles than I dare say. But it was worth every penny! I would definitely return here if given the opportunity. It is worth the stop.

I'd been wanting to try this place for many years. The yellow of the building with the contrasting red umbrellas always caught my attention. I'm so glad we made a reservation. Ordering was easy enough. It's done at the counter and they give you a number. You can choose where to sit. Being that it was a beautiful sunny day, we decided to sit outside. We ordered a BLT Sandwich with a side salad and fries. The sandwich was absolutely amazing. The bread was nicely toasted, the garlic aioli used was so tastey and the bacon had a Smokey flavor to it. Amazing! It was my husbands first time trying wine EVER, so we decided to play it safe with a dessert wine - Stella watermelon and chili flavored. It was so good!! They had a musician playing some light guitar which was a very nice touch to the already great afternoon. Highly recommend!

We had such a fun time starting our birthday vacation trip here, we has to stop in on the way home. Between both visits, we walked out with a case of assorted wines. We enjoyed the cannoli desert and the tiramasu (yum!). We had fresh pours of a Muscato and the Storm Watch - stellar!!!! The staff? What great people. Tiana welcomed us in the door and made us feel like family. Definitely a great experience and we will be back!! Hopefully its before the next birthday vacay :)

Friendly welcoming staff. This location is almost like LA but a little bit smaller. I do love being away from LA because it feels special. Seems like there are far more clearance items. I did take the tour down the street. Bryan was the perfect tour guide. Pristine clean and one of the top alcohol producers in the US. I'm super impressed with their sustainability certification and not wasting water or electricity (solar). San Antonio has done it again. Fabulous job. Thank you Santo

We had an amazing afternoon here enjoying lunch and drinks. Stephanie made us a beautiful charcuterie board and made sure to ensure our birthday lunch was a success. We were a large group and Stephanie ensured all the orders came out together and promptly brought out wine refills, always with a smile! Our whole group loved her recommendation of the mango slushie with chamoy and tajin!

We love Stella Rosa so of course we had to stop by! We came for lunch - you seat yourselves then order your food/drinks at the front. There was also live entertainment when we came. The ladies at the front were super sweet and helpful! They gave us recommendations on food and wine selections. They were also sampling their special wines at the front. We ordered the roasted vegetable pizza, veggie omelette, chicken alfredo, and the pastrami sandwich which we enjoyed. I loved my mimosa which was a blend of their strawberry guava wine with prosecco. They even added some edible glitter to give it some class! Don't forget to pick up a bottle of the Stella Rosa vodka sauce!

This is a nice winery that was my lunch stop on my road trip to Monterey. It's part winery, part restaurant - with a well-stocked shop attached. There is both indoor and outdoor seating for the restaurant, and a live band it seems on the weekends. Service was prompt and efficient for the restaurant - you order at the register that also serves the attached wine shop. I selected the Maddalena Spaghetti and found a spot in their spacious dining room. The pasta dish was on point - al dente noodles with juicy/flavorful Italian-style meatballs. I had a nice side of bread that was offered, and my waitress was attentive. Saved the rest of the large portion for the road. I spent a good chunk of time browsing their vast wine shop - which being that this was one of the sources of Stella Rosa wines - had amazing deals and special pricing on their products. I picked up a wine sampler for the hotel crew I'd be staying at in Monterey, and a few special bottles to enjoy during my stay. Easy parking upfront and around the property - right off the highway driving through Paso Robles.

The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

The tour started at 10am cause it would be too hot to be outside in the afternoon. Our tour guy was very professional and knowledgeable about this massive vineyard resort. The tour took about an hour and half and finished with wine tasting in the resort tasting room. We were introduced to the entire property, history and facts about this winery. I really liked the cute goats on the ground. I was worried about them being in the heat and out in the sun. But our tour guy assured me that they made sure the animals stay in shaded areas and drink enough water to stay hydrated. The arts of this place are just fantastic. Owner is a big art collector so he covers quite a few cultures including Buddha (my faith)! All the arts are from the original countries so they are authentic. I loved the amazing art installations throughout the vineyard. My sign Virgo was on the top of the hill so we had to do a mill hike to see it. There is an art tour that we will do next time. I really want to know the details and histories of all the arts here. I was so glad that we decided to do this tour. The grounds are gorgeous, the sculptures throughout the property are genuinely impressive, and the music and scene were a great backdrop. The wine itself seemed perfectly decent. But the experience on the ground was bad enough that none of that mattered by the time we left. We didn't have a reservation, that's on us. But the website says reservations are recommended, not required, so we figured we'd try anyway. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we weren't wanted. The hostess hustled us into a side room, then walked off, at which point a server immediately told me -- not pleasantly -- that I was standing in the wrong place. When I asked about a few wines I was interested in, I was met with a clear lack of interest, capped off by being rudely told to just get a glass of muscat, like the suggestion was as much about getting rid of me as it was a recommendation. So that's what we did, and then we left. We tasted at several other wineries in Paso Robles that day and had wonderful experiences at every one of them. I stumbled across Mitchella while…read moredoing a search on Yelp, and am quite pleased I chose this to be my one stop before moving on to the next city. The tasting at Mitchella Vineyard and Winery is $20 for 6 wines, with mindfully curated cheese pairings. (A fantastic deal considering the seemingly skyrocketing cost of everything.) The tasting fee is also waived with the purchase of 2 bottles, which is the route I opted for after completing my experience. Upon arrival I was instantly greeted by Lizzie, as she patiently and quietly waited for me to exit my car. She wiggled her butt toward the entrance, encouraging me to follow. Sweet little start to the day, I'd say! (The winery pup in case you haven't figured that out.) ;-) Rachel quickly greeted me and got me seated next to a heater in their enclosed patio, and the paired adventure began. The Viognier was paired with Kokos, a coconut Gouda cheese. Very surprising on the palate, and the wine definitely emphasized the coconut, while the cheese brought out the pineapple of the wine. The Chardonnay had a crisp mouth feel but still just the slightest hint of that butteriness I tend to love in my chardonnays. The subtle saltiness of the benning goat Gouda smoothed out the crispness of the wine. The Cheap B*st*rd (since I'm not sure what Yelp decides doesn't work for them), was quite enjoyable as a stand alone. For me it had the nose of what I would consider to be darker fruits and a generally more jammy wine, but it was smooth on the palate. The white Stilton with cranberry that it was paired out helped bring forward some of the fruit flavor, but the cheese itself wasn't my favorite (hence the stand alone aspect). The Tempranillo would be my grab a glass and a book and plop down by the fireplace (or on my balcony wrapped in blankets) type of wine. It didn't feel heavy and was just a nice sippable red. On the nose, for me, was a very dark red kookaburra licorice. It had a smooth, light finish and paired quite well with the mimolette (which I will forever know as the cannonball cheese thanks to Rachel!) Presumptuous, a zin, had what I consider to be a jammy mouthfeel (as I still can't figure out how exactly wine connoisseurs identify that!) It was paired with a Boschetto truffle cheese and I feel it brought out a very mushroom forward (favorable) taste when put together. For me, it isn't always about what can the food do for the wine... I love to experience what the find can do for the food! Give me a nice side dish of garlic sautéed mushrooms with a glass of this zin, and pretty sure I'm one happy girl. The only potential downside to me for this winery is that their restroom is a portable. While considerably clean, it's definitely a tight squeeze if you're a bigger girl like myself. Deal breaker? Not a chance. I look forward to a future stop when the vines are green and views expansive!

There's also the barrel room area which I believe your allowed tasting in as well but seemed more for an event. Which one was either happening that evening or the following day. The gentleman working was the sweetest. Welcomed us and took very good care of us. Explained the wine which is always a must. I'm more of a red drinker but some of their whites were excellent. Oh, the bubbles to begin with was great. It's more of a mom and pop place but tasty. During our tasting, people did start to arrive which was nice and I believe the owners were there as well. Preparing for the event happening later. The pours were great and the wine was quite nice. The whole experience was very fun. Compared to the other wineries which are pretty massive. This experience was more of a one on one as we were the group starting off at the counter. It was great. A fun little tasting room tucked away but quite nice.

However, worth it!! Barbara was our hostess, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. She knows a lot about wine & the local spots in PR. We ordered 2 charcuterie boards for our table of 8. Also their candles are ahh-mazing!! The wine was great, our friends became members. We are really looking forward to returning. We loved the wine & the vibes!! Ty!

Today, Thursday , they have wines by the glass for $5! What an incredible deal. Since I drink only white wines, I was able to get a generous sample of 3 different wines for less than a tasting! Wines are good but not as good as I remembered before they sold the winery. We had the Diavola pizza and the Porchetta sandwich. The pizza was delicious. The sandwich was pretty good but it was a little dry. We also ended our lunch with a lovely tiramisu. The tiramisu was moist with the right amount of alcohol and cream. Just delicious. Service was great. The staff are very friendly. My son has a dairy allergy and can't have the cheese on regular pizzas. The chef was very accommodating and allowed us to bring in our specially wrapped vegan cheese to use on his pizza. Thank you for this accommodation! The eatery was very calming and was a wonderful way to spend our lunch hour. They did not rush us and we felt very welcomed. Definitely will be back here again.

Once I heard what happened I was more sad but happy to hear the new owner wants to continue Vina Robles. I wish as a member I would have gotten notified. Went to their new location which was really convenient since we were going to other wineries near there. It's still a big location. Plenty of seating and they still offer food which we were happy about. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable which I always appreciate when it comes to wine. We started a tasting and then just tried whatever she gave us which we weren't complaining. Haha. All the wine she was giving us was really good. I was really impressed by their food. I wanted more of everything. We got their bruschetta al Fresco, hummus, monte Bianca pizza, and one other pizza. I fell in love with their bruschetta. We got there right as there kitchen closed which was a bummer because I wanted more. Overall, I still enjoy their wine. Their location is really nice. Food is delicious. I will conintue being a member and will stop by anytime I am in the area.

Plus, Cass just has to stop by Cass when in town... We sat outside this time which was nicer than last time we came, and the food tasted fresher and even better. Our pizza was perfectly wood fired, and even though I'm not typically a big crab cake person, this was the best crab cake & greens I've ever had! I will be back for some rose and that crab cake alone. Not a snooty winery, and just a great vibe all around. You have to make Cass a regular Paso stop!

The menu is incredibly well thought out, and everything we ordered delivered. The tri-tip sandwich is among the best versions of that sandwich we've had anywhere, full stop. The wood-fired oven items were all exceptional as well, every dish clearly made with real care and attention. This is a restaurant that would stand out on its own merits regardless of the winery attached to it. We will absolutely be back to properly explore the wine program and the rest of the property, but even on the strength of this one meal, Cass earns a strong recommendation. Legitimately exceeds expectations.
