Tell than what you want and how much and they bring it to you. Nothing wrong with that, but if you're a visual person, it might be a bit of a problem. If you can't see what you're getting until you take it home. It's a winner if you're not interested in fish from the grocery store and don't have time to go fishing.

Both serve AMAZING prime rib. But tonight we thought, "You know what? Let's branch out. Let's try the Windmill again! It was GREAT a few years ago!" That was our first mistake. We didn't have reservations and they were packed, so we sat in a booth on the bar side. Fair enough. Busy restaurant, Saturday night vibes, whatever. We can be patient. Ten minutes go by before we get WATER. Another ten minutes before anyone comes over to take our drink and food order. Then we wait. And wait. And WAIT. Nearly an HOUR later, our food finally arrived. At this point I assumed they had gone out back, located the cow, negotiated the terms of its surrender, processed it, and THEN started cooking our dinner. Surely after an hour, this prime rib was going to absolutely SLAP. Friends. It did not slap. It barely tapped. I ordered the prime rib, but what arrived tasted like a ham steak wearing a fake mustache trying to sneak into the beef section. The texture was bizarre. The flavor was bizarre. The entire thing was having an identity crisis. I kept looking at it like, "Sir... are you SURE you're prime rib?" Meanwhile, my son ordered the "Prime Top Cut Sirloin." Apparently "top cut" means they launch it directly into the sun and wait for it to return. That poor steak was BURNT on the outside and tough. I'm pretty sure if we'd had another 20 minutes, we could've attached a handle to it and used it as a cutting board. Look, I understand busy restaurants. I understand slow service. I understand kitchens getting backed up. But after nearly an hour, I expected a prime rib so magnificent that angels would descend from Heaven carrying au jus. Instead, I got a ham impersonator and my son got a roofing shingle. We came for prime rib. We left with questions. SO. MANY. QUESTIONS. The Windmill we remembered from a few years ago was GREAT. The sauce is very clearly ketchup based and it was hard to get past the strong ketchup flavor. It is not unheard of to make Diabla sauce using ketchup. It also isn't the best way to make a Diabla sauce IMHO but it can work. This sauce did have good heat, nothing crazy but the heat was there. There was also some other good flavors including a roasted/char character that was nice. I just had a hard time getting past the sweetness and very distinct ketchup flavor. A little too much of a tangy sweet flavor for me. The shrimp were nice size, cooked decently (I try not to judge too much on shrimp when it is delivery, but this was better than average) and enough that I'm not going to complain about portion size. The other items for the dish, rice, refried beans, salad, pico, and guacamole were all pretty good. I had them hold the sour cream. I also ordered chips and salsa which was a let down. The chips were dry aged, er, I mean stale and the salsa was very very very bland.
