The food was great. The atmosphere was super fun laid-back small town so everybody's friendly and the service was good.

This is a great place to grab some drinks and some delicious food. The service can be a bit slow but that's only because it's always busy but a little extra wait is worth it for sure. The custom tiles on the ceiling are super fun to look at and it's always clean inside. There are lots of televisions to watch sports on. We had chicken strips and jojos, both hand breaded and perfectly cooked. We also had the pork chop sandwich, seriously one of the best I've ever had, and home made chips which were perfectly crispy and salty and delicious. We stopped here on our way to red lodge for a wedding and grabbed lunch. The food was absolutely delicious and we had an amazing and sweet server, Rhonda! Once again, the 307 didn't disappoint. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff. My husband had the Mountain Man burger. He said it was great. Thought the gravy was a little too thick but overall very good. I had the Summed Berry Chicken wrap and it was great! We'll def be stopping in again when passing through. Super clean! Nice bar grill without the dark dingy dive bar look. (And we like dive bars!). Food was great, they make their own salads, no bag salad. Big portions. Jo Jo's were great. This place was hopping on a Thursday night when we arrived close to 7pm. The place is split about 50/50 space in the bar vs dining area. The bar has plenty of TVs as well as a high top tables. They did have a pretty good size beer selection, they just didn't carry any IPA style beers that I enjoy but I was able to find one to pair with my burger. The burger patty itself was great, hand packed and cooked perfectly to medium rare. I enjoyed the 'chipotle burger' toppings as well: bacon, avocado, LTOP and secret sauce which had a little kick to it. Fries were crispy outside and soft inside. Our waitress was pleasant and prompt, we were a party of 7 and I think she was a little bit overwhelmed but handled it well. This place is good enough that our friends from Reed Point drive the 20+miles to come here for dinner. It's worth the try. read more

Wanted to like this place more than I did! And actually the onion rings were very good. Things took a turn when my French dip came. Now.. it's only fair that I disclose I am pregnant and maybe that played a roll but I could tell by the smell of the French dip I was not going to like it. It had a verryyyy Smokey flavor. Not something I'm used to in a traditional FD. The meat was an immediate no for me. I also opted for peppers and onions for $3 more and there were very few. The side salad was crisp and fresh. My mom really enjoyed her chicken fingers, the server said they are hand dredged in the kitchen. They were okay to me. The breading on the one I took got soggy and the texture of the chicken was soft.. again, it could just be because I'm pregnant. I don't know.. other tables seemed to be enjoying their French dips. Occasionally the food and service are mediocre. Since its new owners, they lost most of the great employees left, the menu has a lot less items and the prices went up. Since they have fewer employees, they are having trouble keeping the doors open. They are no longer open every night until 1:30-2:00, and I've only seen one live band there since the change of owners. Very sad because they used to be the best place in town...for food, service and keeping open by keeping employees. read more

I LOVE this place! A great place to have some good food and talk to interesting people from all over the country. One star lost because my husband tried one of their burgers and french dip and said it was just okay. You'll want to fill up on the bread because it's so delicious but that's okay, take home your entree and eat it later. Chicken fried chicken was the best thing I ate and the gravy for the potatoes was seasoned perfectly. We ate at the bar and the person behind the bar was attentive and nice to talk to. New ownership and a new menu...$15 for 6 cold wings and 3 pieces of celery. A buffalo chicken wrap, without buffalo sauce, for $19 that was the size of a tamale. The walleye fish fingers were absolutely pathetic, we would have been better off buying Gorton's fish sticks. The portion sizes were meant for toddlers. The best thing coming out of the kitchen was from a Sysco bag. The prices have sky rocketed and the service was slow. I used to love this place, please bring back the old owners/menu or this place will be out of business in a year. Mr ordered the America Burger and hasn't stopped raving about every bite. He ordered it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the nachos and they were delicious. Their house made pico was great. The setting is total bar and casino with ceiling tile art dedicated to different groups and individuals. The traveling HS football team was eating here before the Friday night game. Go Titans! Everything was beyond our expectations after reading other reviews. Ten minutes later she comes back "no prime rib dip" husband orders a pork chop sandwich. Fifteen minutes later waitress comes back again--they don't have pork chop sandwiches. He orders a burger. We wait and we wait. Over ONE HOUR after we enter the place I say, "we are out of here." Spent the day out looking at properties and stopped in for a late lunch and beverage. Staff and locals were super nice and helpful. Our Bostonian bartender/ server was absolutely wonderful. My wife chose the patty melt which she reports was perfect. I enjoyed a remarkable Ruben. We had a great stay and visit with some of the locals. Looking forward to making the area home. read more

Our family went there a few weeks ago and were very favorably impressed! Past experiences at the 307 were mediocre, at best. Not this time!! The food was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and the service was GREAT! The "homewrecker burger" was incredible. The daily special was "Philly cheesesteak sliders" and it was even better. We stopped here for dinner last Saturday night after a long car trip. I had the Tijuana chicken Cesar salad, it was delicious! The dressing was wonderful and complemented the avocado perfectly. My son had a chicken quesadilla that was thick with cheese and looked so good, I wanted to steal it! My husband had the chipotle burger which he really enjoyed as well. Even though they appeared to be a little short staffed, (as so many places are), the waiter was cheerful and the wait for a table and for our food to arrive were quite reasonable. We made a trip from Helena to go to the Yellowstone winery. We had our elderly Westie with us. The winery staff was so rude and wouldn't let us sit on the patio with our dog. So we left and stopped at the 307 and are so glad we did! Us and our dog were welcomed on their patio and the server, Pam, even brought him water. Very disappointed. We have tried this place several times and every time it's horrible. So I decided to write another review! It recently said it was under new management but nothing has changed. I have been food poisoned once from here. The next time came in and my meat had mold on it. Today was the last straw. Even with new management nothing has changed. Our food was was cold and undercooked. That was both of us that went. Gotta love having undercooked chicken, frozen tater tots and cold hot dogs. Nothing has been updated in the bar and there are torn seats/chairs. While this time our waitress did not checked on us in the past that did not happen and we would go 30 minutes without being served then sit then for an hour with only be drink and not be checked on again. Today it only took her 5 minutes to check on us and she actually check backed. It was the same person too. Today when we told her the food was cold she just said okay and walked away. This is her normal attitude every time. Quite a grumpy lady. She doesn't care about customers unless they are there daily. Either way food and environment has not improved. If you plan on having a sick stomach this is your place. Food is horrible, poor service, and extremely overpriced. read more
