Looking for Thai food in Billings, Montana and the only place open with decent reviews was Mia's Wok. The restaurant is open, clean and one waitress working hard. We ordered the pad Thai with chicken and medium spice. The noodles were adequately sauced, well cooked, but no spice. Our second entree was the red curry with chicken and again, medium spice level. There was a richness of coconut milk and not runny like many places. When the entrees were delivered, there was no spice and our waitress dropped off chili oil and sirachi for us to spice ourselves. This is not typical in Asian restaurants. The heat level should be incorporated in the meal, a standard unless you are not a talented Thai cook. The red curry contained an abundance of different veggies like multiple peppers and eggplant. Both dishes were ok, not memorable enough to return. Mia's Wok is working hard and feeding many loyal customers. The takeout service was thriving while we were there. I hope you develop and opinion on your own by giving them a try. read more

One person waiting tables at very busy lunch hour, in a place where the tables are spread out. Only two tables were unoccupied and neither had been cleared. The server was practically running, talking on the fly. It was busy so I thought the food must be good. I ordered a lunch special. Cashew chicken with very few cashews, dry toughish chicken breast not helped by the sauce. The Pad Thai noodles tasted like simple Chinese sweet and sour dipping sauce. I didn't eat them. So, $18.00 total for 2 okay pot stickers and some chicken. Won't go back. read more

I've been traveling back and forth from California for about 4 months and always looking good Asian food. I was referred to Mia's Wok by an Uber driver that was originally from California. She said " try Mia's Wok".. food is great. So I decided to give it a try, I don't have high expectations for Pho in Billings but this place really hit the spot for me. Broth was tasteful and great portion. Definitely hit the spot after a long day of travel. Highly recommend this place!! Waitress is super awesome! I also went the following day for the Kapoon!! Came from out of town and wanted Chinese so gave Mia's a try based on reviews. Very glad we did. The sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki chicken were possibly the best we've ever had. I went in with subdued expectations. Obviously, Billings was neither Southern CA nor Houston, TX. But this was crap pho. Horribly salty; wrong cut of beef; no basil. And pricey, when having to pay for downtown parking. I'd suggest ordering only Thai items, since the (owner?) server appeared to be a Thai person. Popped by for lunch because we were in the neighborhood when our Thai place lobby was still closed. Nice, bright place, fast service. We thought it was Chinese but now see it's fusion and they had a lot of options. We chose two lunch specials with pad Thai, a cashew chicken and a basil chicken. Walking in the one thing that stood out was a gold sequin picture on the wall nothing else stood out. The lunch specials were limited to two chicken and one beef meal for 14.95 each and that was without a drink just water. The beef pho was flavorless, the Thai tea was watery, and there was very little protein in the pancit noodle dish. The menu seemed unfocused and the food quality was poor. I have tried many dishes at Mia's Wok and never had anything other than outstanding food. They always have the freshest tasting vegetables cooked to perfection, still crisp and quality tasting. I enjoy spicy food, and they have very unique flavors and good variety. The chef knows spice combinations very well. They are very good at accommodating my friends who do not like spicy foods. The noodles and rice are always cooked al dente. Service is always great, and not just because I am a regular. We went here on a Friday for lunch and the food was delicious. I got the spicy beef lunch special and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was nice inside - very clean and lots of natural light. There was only one woman working during a busy lunch rush. She did a wonderful job having to multitask between tons of phone calls, people coming in for pick-up orders, and serving people dining in. It did take a while for us to get our food, which was understandable because they appear to be very understaffed. The wait was worth it because we all enjoyed our meals. I wish I had gotten the name of the only woman that was working because she was kind and attentive despite it being very busy and having no help. We'll be back for sure! read more

Not real Thai food. If anyone thinks this is real Thai food then you have not had real Thai food. Me and my friend got this one night and we both end up taking one bite and throwing it out. Mine tasted like it was just bad food, not good at all. The fried rice was a creamy weird taste. It just tasted like it wasn't safe to eat so we threw our $40 food out. What a waste. read more
