This is Treason in the State of Texas! I've had steak from Alaska to California, New York to Florida and I'm sorry to say that despite the best service and servers you could want, this is the worst steak I have ever had. Get the brownies read more

I don't understand why this place doesn't have better ratings. We've been coming here since it was a Coach And Four franchise located on west 90. (Where they offered a large or small petite filet). We've hardly ever been disappointed, and when we were, management was most responsive. Definitely recommend!! read more

Not my favorite. My steak salad tasted like dog food but my dads red fish tasted great. Seems to be hit or miss on what's great there. Might give it another shot but we weren't blown away on our first experience. read more

My Ribeye steak tasted NOTHING like a delicious marbled ribeye. It apparently came from the extremely lean end and was tough as heck to chew so I gave up. Let management know. I didn't want another steak, it seemed futile. The bread was horribly hard, not the same good bread they used to serve. Our server was nice but brand spanking new, which added more pain to an already bad meal only because a few things were messed up. In fairness an employee has to begin somewhere working out their flow on the floor. If I'd have had any semblance of a decent meal I'd have been a whole lot happier. read more

Great steaks! Fried crab claws are usually in season and plentiful. Good selection of sides, steak, seafood, and Americana. The staff is friendly and very helpful. read more

This place was awesome, we truly enjoyed our meal here. I ordered the ribeye and my fiancé ordered the New York strip both were cooked perfectly!! We loved the aus ju, and the baked potato was loaded, I mean loaded with butter, sour cream, bacon and cheese. The sautéed mushrooms and onions were cooked perfectly as well. We will be back. Don't judge a book by its cover or reviews check it out for yourself! Fantastic dinner! read more

Great atmosphere and great food and service . My husband had the chicken sandwich melt and loved it. I had the burger and loved it as well.

This review is solely based on a takeout experience. We were staying at the Hampton Inn next door and were too tired to dine in so we decided to order takeout. It was an easy process to place the order over the phone and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. Everything was prepared perfectly and we had all condiments requested. We did have to ask for cutlery but this was no big deal. We both ordered the shrimp dinner which was advertised as a special on their website. The shrimp were a great size and fried to perfection. We also ordered the fried oysters and those were well breaded and seasoned perfectly. We would definitely return again the next time we are in town. read more

Seems like all the employees, except for maybe 2 servers actually care about the guests. The rest of the employees are hovering, sitting, chatting with one table, I suspect to be the owners. We waited 20 minutes before a server, who obviously wasn't stationed in our section, came and took care of us. Food was mediocre at best, ribs tasted boiled and covered in salt. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. read more

Great place.... This was right behind the Hampton so was able to walk over. We had filets....they were very good.....if u remember the steak and ale restaurants this is very similar....from the bread to the way they cook their steaks...service was great....it was a Friday night and they were very busy but got us right in.....I had a top shelf marg that someone else recommended on Yelp and they were right it was the best ever. read more

This is a enjoyable steak house service was good very busy on Saturday night but food came on time and had a small strip steak cooked right reminded of k bobs if you are from Texas but no salad bar reasonable prices would go again read more

Reasonable price and good quality food! Their special au jus for steak is so delicious.

Looks small from the outside but inside is very spacious! I had the 11oz ribeye and it was sooooo good I usually can eat about 6-8 oz but I ate all of it! Juicy and full of flavor! read more

Reminds me of an old-school steakhouse. Menu is simple as they focus on core items. The same is true of the restaurant. Very simple furnishings of tables and booths with carpet floors. They have a bar area, but no bartender. Complimentary bread was furnished. House salad was nothing special. 16oz ribeye was cooked medium and done to those specifications. Minimal seasoning on the meat, but seemed a little lacking. Broccoli side was small. Service was great and quick, as Lauren did a great job. Overall good experience. read more

Samuel's Roadhouse - Steakhouses Near Me - Crestview, Florida

Nice family restaurant, great food, and ambiance. The grilled shrimp was excellent!.

Delicious steak! Low key place with amazing steaks! The fillet is one of the best i had!

Some reviews concerned me BUT.. Service was exceptional and so was meal. Steak was med/well - as ordered and the marinate was delicious. Potato was heaping with butter and sour cream. House Salad was huge! This place is a must, if you want steak. Thank you Roadhouse. read more

Great food and service. From the appetizers to the steaks every item was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Will definitely return.

The potato soup and the stew were both great. Even though they were busy we still got our food and drinks pretty quickly. The waiter was nice and they were quick to bring us our food and drinks. The chicken sandwich was great, it was a lot easier that they put the lettuce and the added items onto the side of the plate. The Fillet mignon was medium rare and it was great with the marinate. The seven ounce New York strip was great and it wasn't over cooked. The twelve ounce New York strip was made well done and it was awesome, it wasn't chewy for that type of steak. The sweet potato, and fries were good as well. The country fried steak was nice and tender, the twice baked potato was different in a good way. The only reason this wasn't a five star was the price for five people it was 136$. read more

Took forever to get the appetizer then the food came and my steak and potato was cold. My grandson got the steak salad and the steak tasted rotten read more

This restaurant has always been known for the incredible homemade marinade for their tender steaks. It is their seafood that is their hidden treasure. No one would ever expect to find the BEST seafood in Crestview at a steakhouse..... but, yep! They have out done all the others in town and is equal to the waterfront restaurant of the south end of the county in every area, except not as pricey$$$ read more

I wish I could give less. I order my steak medium well...it came medium. had to send it back. It came back 5 min later.....COLD. it never got fixed. We will not go back. read more

My steak was the best I have ever eaten. I could cut it with my fork. Delicious flavor. Baked potato and salad were great. Really good service and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. read more

Server was pleasant and attentive. Decor is a bit sparse. Food was okay. Had steak salad. Steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium. I can live with that. Kitchen seemed a little slow. Good value, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit. read more

Hands down best burgers & staff. Took Taylor's recommendation on the pepper jack burger and have to come back every time I'm in town.

If you want a great steak in Crestview, look no more. Samuels steakhouse has what you're looking for. Love the ambiance and the staff is always happy to serve. The food is priced just right! read more

We came for date night right when they opened at 4:30. The hostess was very friendly and got us in a booth, even checked on us during our meal. Deanna was our server and she was incredible. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the place and the menu items. We got two signature cocktails and the sautéed crawfish tails to start. The drinks were good and the appetizer was gone so fast it didn't stand a chance! Delicious! We each got a filet medium rare, mine with the green beans and sweet potato, hers with green beans and fried okra. WOW! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My wife always eats steak with A1 and even though Deanna brought it, she said "hopefully it's so good you won't need it". She was right, which made me happy because I cringe at steak sauce. My wife ate one bite with the A1 but the rest of the steak without it. The au jus was so right with the tender filet - chef's kiss! We barely had room for a bite of the peach cobbler and I wish it weren't so because I hated leaving it. We were just too full. $80 for dinner and we tipped her $40. We WILL be returning and asking for Deanna. What a great experience. read more

Steaks were unimpressive and food was cold. This was a one and done experience. Not much in Crestview worth eating that I can't cook better at home. read more

Service was fast and wonderful. Onion ring app was a little small. Steak was really good although the twice baked potato was somewhat dry.Price was very reasonable. Clean and well worth a 5 star. read more

Very good service from the lady taking care of us. Checked up on us many times and went out of her way to be polite. Food was decent for the price. read more

Changed the name but the rest remains the same!!! NOT IMPRESSED Average drinks, steaks had a nice flavor, basic baked potatoe, mushrooms like everywhere else, crawfish tender but not a lot of wow, bowl of lettuce with one onion slice and a spoonful of dressing should not be called a salad, good smoked tuna dip served with hard flavorless pita chips, our server was friendly but not particularly concerned with presentation of food or our enjoyment. Prices as expected No need to rush over, you will not be missing anything special. read more

Passing through and stopped based on reviews. Reviews where deceiving; service was excellent. But, food was subpar; order NY strip , salad, fries, oysters, crab claws. The steak taste was that of a bottom grade beef. The quality was in taste was far less than anyone deserved to eat. It was tender yet flavorless. This from a restaurant that has " Roadhouse " in its name. So, a person would expect more from what is considered a steakhouse. Once read more

Stopped in for dinner after driving for 7 hours for the 3 Gun Nationals in Holt. Had the 12oz NY Strip and it was good. I'm used to a thicker cut steak but it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was awesome. There were some loud people at the bar area where we were sitting but nothing intolerable. Good food for a good price. Minus one star for a little bit of a wait on getting the check but they were busy and seemed short staffed based on the help wanted sign on the door. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good steak. read more

Our food took just over 2 hours, even though there were only a few other diners when we arrived. My Filet was cut (Twice), Scallops were left off of one of the steaks - we received them in a to-go container when we received the check. The manager did give us a 10% discount and the food was ok. Can't wait for Texas Roadhouse to open!!! read more

My son and I went to Samuel's for supper because I wanted steak and ribs. He ordered a hamburger and he and I were very pleased. If you want a tender steak and ribs that fall off the bone and a juicy burger. Well, Samuel's is the place to go if ever passing through Crestview, Florida, or just moving here this is a must-try. Our server was just as great. They have the most friendly staff. Prices are competitive but to me, while living here I will not eat steak anywhere else besides home. read more

Walking up the hill from my hotel because I didn't want to deal with traffic is a strange way to find a really good dining experience but I did. I arrived shortly after they opened at five and was promptly seated by a very pleasant lady (who I later found out was the manager and was attended by friendly waitress who handled my menu questions and odd order requests without any issues. The salad was fresh and crisp and they serve a very solid ribeye with good flavor and correctly prepared. If I were in town two nights instead of one, I'd have dinner here twice. If I weren't trying to lose weight I'd probably go back tonight. read more

Great food and service!! Got our meal quick and it was amazing food!! Steak cooked perfectly and real nice ambiance. Quiet and little tucked away booths for more secluded dining. Defiantly recommend!!! read more

Last night we dined at Samuel's Roadhouse. We had the Tomahawk steak for two with sautéed mushrooms, baked potato and salads. The meal was excellent from the start to finish. We had signed up to the Samuels text club and also received a free appetizer. For the appetizer we had fried mozzarella sticks. To begin... the mozzarella sticks were great and I thought it was a nice offer. There were 6 in an order so for us that was plenty for two people. The salads were very fresh and crisp and they were served with fresh bread that was still hot (yum!) and the dressing was very good. Next came the Tomahawk steak and potato. The potato was cooked perfectly and a good size to share. Finally, let me begin to tell you how wonderful our steak was. (My photo attached does not give this meal the justice it deserves). The steak was truly exceptional. It was prepared exactly as we had requested (medium rare). The beef flavor was complimented with the house marinade to perfection. I can't find enough kind words to describe how wonderful this meal was. Today, as we are traveling, I have made steak sandwiches with our leftovers for the road trip home. The plan was to have them for lunch, but after slicing the meat this morning, I am confident they won't last past breakfast. I did not want to leave out one more thing, the service. Our waiter was very attentive and charming. He brought us fresh drinks and bread through out the meal and checked on us to make sure we were pleased with our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely make it a point to come back when traveling through the area again. I would like to try the Seafood- but honestly, I am still in love with the steaks! Hats off to the owner! read more

Samuel's Roadhouse - Tomahawk for two!- Excellent! - Steakhouses Near Me - Crestview, Florida

Was very excited to eat here after a long day of driving, but we had to leave because it was taking way too long for our food to arrive! It took so long we had to go across the street to Arby's to get food! We were told they had 4 cooks that were kicking butt to get food out! Apparently it wasn't our food! read more

Me and a friend went there to eat arriving around 8pm, they close at 9pm. We had to ask for bread. The server seemed very anxious for us to order. After getting our menu and drinks, she came back 3 times in 10 minutes asking for our order. After receiving our food and finishing, she was back around 10 times asking if we needed anything, which is excessive. I finally figured out she was wanting us to finish up and get out. She actually emphasized, "want to make sure that you have everything when you get ready to LEAVE!" Next to the last time she came to the table, I told her we were good "just like the last time you were just here". You should not feel pressured to finish a meal you have paid for because the wait staff wants you out! Our potatoes were gummy and not very good and my friends okra was overcooked. The shrimp had a good flavor. The salad was small and anemic looking with one tiny onion ring and about a tablespoon of dressing. Both our meals were lukewarm. Not a very appetizing dinner! Then a little after 9pm when we were done and leaving, going up to the register to pay, our server actually looks at my friend, an older woman, and says, "you look like you are ready for the nursing home", OMG, who says that to ANYONE? I called the manager to complain and he seemed totally unconcerned and said all his waitresses were very sweet. Maybe that is why there were 5 other people in there at 8pm at Sunday service! read more
