Went for dinner to Samudhra and the experience was good. We kept it simple and ordered Kodi 65- we ordered this twice, it was so good, Salmon 65, Mutton Biryani, Haleem and Ragi Muddha with Natugodi. Mutton birysni definitely didnt cut the mark for me, it was bland and lacked flavor. Haleem was so good! Drinks that we got- Mirchi Margherita, Aam Panna and Samudhra Mule.

JAIN KAJU MASALA - MADE TO ORDER

We visited Samudhra for a family dinner and quickly realized this is not your usual casual dinner spot it has an elevated, polished vibe, so dress to impress when you plan your visit. The food was absolutely amazing, with flavors that were perfectly on point in every dish we tried. They also accommodate jain food upon special request. Their homemade paneer is a true standout and something we would definitely return for. Portion sizes were decent, making it ideal for a relaxed sit-down dinner with family. Prices are slightly on the higher side, and you might experience a bit of a wait once the order is placed, but the taste and ambiance make it well worth it. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and a great place for a memorable family night out.

Non veg thali
Komal K.

What a wonderful find in Franklin township. We came here for lunch on a Monday and the place was packed. I guess that speaks a lot about its popularity. We ordered the non veg thali and it came out very promptly. The mocktail that I ordered was a little too sweet for my taste. Now when it comes to the non veg thali, omg, every dish was an explosion of flavors. It had everything ranging from fish, shrimp, chicken, mutton to dessert. Service was top notch and the ambiance was great. They kept refilling our food promptly whenever we needed. Definitely recommend and I will definitely come back!!

We came here as a family expecting a fine dining experience. I must say, it felt more like an ordinary restaurant with the prices being on the pricier side. We had order a couple of appetizers including bullet paneer, gobi, haleem, and sliders which we thoroughly enjoyed. It also came in a decent quantity for its price. For the main course, we had ordered a paneer tikka masala which was excellent with the paneer being very soft and melts in the mouth. The chicken curry on the other hand was pretty average but passing. The service was pretty good with our server being very nice and helpful. For the ambience of the place, I must say I expected more from a fine dining restaurant as it felt like a normal restaurant due to the fact that we didn't have that much privacy and the place being quite loud due to other customers. Overall, I would rate this from a 3-4 stars out 5. The food was pretty good but could improve on the whole fine dining experience.

Kindly check their timing on the website properly. We came around 3:30 and only limited items from the menu were available which i don't complain, every establishment have their own standard and timing. Overall good experience in the high end restaurant. The seating arrangement and ambience is just amazing.

Samudhra Premium Restaurant NJ located in Franklin Park, New Jersey It is an upscale restaurant which serves contemporary regional cuisine of India in a muted color scheme in the sleek dining vibes which provides an ideal backdrop for the kitchen's rout of boldly seasoned dishes. In Samudhra everything is made from scratch to be as delectable as what precedes them. They prepare their food in Desi Ghee( clarified butter) Chef Dheeraj ( Executive Chef) and it's team features incredibly unique dishes that combine creative innovation with honored traditions of the region. We tried Paan Martini Negroni Mumbai Velvet martini Dahi ke Kebab Kodi 65 Macchi Tikka Lamp chops Hyderabadi Dum goat biryani Dum ka Murgh Phool Makhana Masala Cheese and chilli Naan Laccha paratha Samudhra Delight Falooda If you're looking for a upscale Indian restaurant in New Jersety complete with crowd-pleasing dishes and excellent service..Samudhra it is ... Food is delicious! Both thali options have a great variety and large portions. Reservations definitely recommended. The dining area and lounge are decorated very nicely. Staff is friendly, our server Vikas went above and beyond to make our dining experience wonderful. Planning to dine here again for sure.

ALWAYS READ REVIEWS - please. Based on a recommendations, we decided to have a surprise dinner with a family of 10 people. I saw the rating but did not read the reviews. My mistake. They have a dress code. My teenage sun wore black track pants. The manager would not let us in. I had to leave and drive my son to Target to get pants so we could enter. As home is about 1 hr away. This has occurred to multiple people - check other reviews. And honestly... it's not that great of place. In the middle of southern Jersey there are many other quality Indian restaurants within a mile. Ambiance is similar to other local restaurants. The food tastes fine but the wait staff is not attentive. Automatic 18% tip and the audacity to ask for +2-5% above this was kind of silly. Sadly I can't recommend this place. Save your money and go someplace else.

Vegetarian Thali
Varsha T.

the first time i came here, i tried the vegetarian meal thali, which was an assortment of south indian vegetable curry, roti of choice, rice, and a sweet. my first time trying the place, it felt very authentic, like a home-cooked meal. however, i will say there are other comparable restaurants that i would try next time. on my most recent visit, i tried the chicken tikka grilled dish, which really blew me away. next time, i would try more of these tandoor dishes. it really stood out. what was especially great was the strong, intense spiced chicken that had a perfect, unique flavor profile, paired with an incredible tikka masala sauce. it was the correct portion for one person and a comparable price to the vegetarian meal. the wait can be a little long, usually i'm able to be seated right away, but the food can take up to 30 to 40 minutes depending on how busy they are. i would definitely recommend checking out this spot; it's a nice upscale indian restaurant in the area.

roti and chili-garlic naan
Suchi O.

Nice upscale restaurant in Franklin Park, NJ. Enjoyed dinner Sunday night here. We tried Mirchi Bhaji, Dal Makhani and Tawa Paneer with roti and chill-garlic naan. All the dishes were tasty, right proportion and appropriate price point. Service is attentive and quick. I have come here for a GNO few months back and have also enjoyed their lunch-thali in the lounge. Both the experiences were pretty decent. The restaurant is definitely worth a try if you are in this area

Fantastic! Delicious! Perfect! Service was over the top! The staff was moving smoothly and swiftly. They accommodated my 2 yr old without hassle. I'm glad there was a dress code because the atmosphere felt high end with reasonable prices. This was one of the few Indian restaurants where I can use fork and knife and now worry about getting my hands covered in food. If I want to eat with my hands, I'll eat at some forgettable restaurant. Food was top notch! The ingredients tasted fresh and decadent. Many delicious dishes to choose from, but you cant go wrong with the paneer! I wish I had more pictures but everyone at the table was scooping up all the food! My wife and I will return for a date night as soon as we find a babysitter.

The French onion soup is just as good and one of the best in the area. It's so good we had it when it was over 95° degrees outside and still worth it. They've changed the chicken meatballs in the last 2 years since I've been there - much less slaw (which was a unique highlight). These were dry and tasted overcooked and tough. My chicken Milanese was also overcooked and tough. The chicken was right at that cusp of brown to burnt with some pieces being burnt and difficult to chew. My husband's fried chicken from his sandwich (much much thicker piece of chicken) was fine so it makes me wonder if it was cooked at the same time. The prices are still reasonable for a nicer pub / gastropub which is appreciated.

However, based off my standout experience at Mezcal on Saturday night (10/3) for a night out drinking cocktails with my girlfriend, I felt inclined to share my experience. First off, you pull into the parking lot and it's in the middle of nowhere in Old Bridge. Once you open the restaurant door and walk in, it feels like entering a high-end hotspot in Manhattan. Completely different world. We sat at the bar, immediately were taken care of by the kind hostess, and began the night. My girlfriend made a comment to me, she said, "all of the bartenders look so calm". This was during the typical dinner rush @ 7-8 pm. Two standout bartenders, the first was a woman who had been there for 3 months (did not catch her name) and then another bartender named Mike. Both were splendid. Mike was deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and personable. He took time to explain all different types of liquors at the establishment, he took the time to cater to our requests and made some of the best cocktails both of us had ever had in our lives. It was incredible to me to watch the attention to detail and calmness during the busiest hours on a jam-packed Saturday night dinner rush. The service is remarkable, the team on Saturday night was remarkable, and that's rare with a dining experience post-Covid. We will definitely be back, this is our permanent date night cocktail spot.
