Maybe we had very high hopes or maybe the pizzazz and presentation is way ahead of the actual food and taste. We found that the establishment had really gone out of the way to make it a super exclusive place but then forgot to get super exclusive staff in the kitchen. Visit them if you want to impress your clients! On the other hand, if you want to eat something that will make you want more, not sure

I was here with my work colleagues a couple Nights ago and while the ambiance was good, food overall was okay. When I travel to NY/NJ, I hope for a better tasting Indian food because of larger Indian population and popular destinations. We tried several dishes - peanut masala (was average); tempura cauliflower type veg appetizer (was not good at all - no taste), paneer app (was okay, nothing wow about it), chicken 65 was average too, noorjahan chicken app was good. But a side of chutney would have helped. My colleagues loved the smoked corn soup, but found eating corn cob quite weird. We had some variety of biryani too - veg biryani was good. Chicken biryani was just okay. While mutton biryani was good too. Service was good overall. I could see cocktails had pretty good presentation. Kulfi was liked by most of the colleagues. Moong dal halwa was good and presented differently. Was happy to see Caymus on the wine list, and enjoyed that. Overall good for one time visit.

My parents took me here for my birthday and it was one of the best fine dining experiences I've ever had. From the glamorous ambiance to the extremely hospitable service to the delicious mouthwatering food. The food recieved 10/10 - I'd gladly come here again to celebrate a special night. However it was the service that stole the show! The recommendations from our server, Venkatesh, was on the dot. He even asked the chef to do a special accommodation because the iddiapam on the menu was sold out and we really wanted to try it. We felt so loved and cared for and we noticed that every table was being treated this way. The chef stopped at the tables to greet us where we could genuinely praise the food and drinks.

Best staff, amazing service, great food, and beautiful ambiance. We visited Andaaz for my birthday dinner. We did not make a reservation since we did not know if we were not sure of our timings but they accommodated us on a Monday afternoon. The staff was very good. We ordered mocktails to start with - Andaaz apna apna which was good to beat the summer and Serrano and Lemongrass punch which was delicious. We went with the appetizer we ordered andaaz katori chaat that was good and a platter. The platter had chole chawal bites - okish, pesto paneer - great, lotus root chips - yum, spinach and cheese cigar - great, mushroom and barley kebab - yum! For the mains, we ordered jaipuri malai makhana which was delicious. The gravy was super creamy. We paired it with butter naan. For dessert, we went with mango saffron kulfi baklava and it was delicious. They bought us a complimentary chocolate cake as it was my birthday and that was great too. It was a good portion.

Good ambience and service . I thought the food was 3.5 out of 5 . We tried the appetizer platter . The meat was soft and juicy but a bit salty . We liked the entree more than the appetizers . There are other restaurants in the area that are 4 out of 5 with similar service and ambience. Will try it again .

I had a really nice time here . The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy with tasteful decor. The food was pretty good - every dish was carefully prepared and wonderfully presented. The service was just as impressive: the staff were attentive but not intrusive , always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary here with family. Stepping into this type of spot, your expectations should be set for nyc fancy but with central jersey convenience aka there is a dress code, no children, prices are elevate and portions are small. BUTTT what they deliver is a wonderful ambiance with thoughtful rich interior, attentive service and quality food/presentations with fresh ingredients. Several items on their menu were really good like the pesto paneer and lotus root appetizer and the Multani Paneer Curry and Veg Biriyani. All the desserts and their presentation was lovely (several items served on dry ice). Finger bowls, a complimentary starter, a visit from the chef all also included in this dining experience. The location has plentiful parking and is also BYOB as well. Their Non alcohol drinks cocktails were also well curated - thoughtfully crafted than the routine mango/tamarind combinations standard at most indian restaurants. I'm looking forward to my next visit here - its truly a perfect spot to dress up and celebrate a life event/birthday/etc. I will say this isn't for random Sat dinner out; its a different type of dining atmosphere and vibes. I look forward to exploring more of their menu.

Beautiful ambiance with service to match. From the moment you enter you realize that this place is gorgeous. Remember it's a BYOB and you may want to have a drink inside this beautiful place. Chole appetizer reminded me of a playful fusion dish of an Indian Arancini. Lamb chops were executed differently than you'd expect and were stewed rather than grilled as an appetizer. Chicken kebabs were absolutely delicious and meant to be eaten wrapped in the accompanying naan style bread that had a chutney seared onto the bread. Jackfruit roll was beautiful and playfully presented. This dish was sweeter than I expected. This is a high end Indian restaurant we're each dish is beautifully presented with attentive service. This is not the typical Indian restaurant and the flavors may be different than what you're used to. Enjoy the experience.

Totally agree with some of the constructive reviews here. Lot of appetizer selection, sad when you arrive at the main course - not up to the taste at all! Ordered katori chaat which was the only item we liked. Main course - paneer tikka masala yuk! Took a take out dessert - ghevar n at home surprised to see the size - it was bonsai !!! The Paisam was sweet Milk - disgrace to Indian cuisine. Mock tails were ok, nothing special u wont get in nominal price. The waiters were overworked, didn't seem keen enough to make our experience any better. Total cost was over hyped, 18% service tax enforced + another service tax ?? The most disappointing experience especially if u r with a senior , not dressed for the occasion and are asked - ' r u here for the restroom only ?' So much for a 100$$ +++++ charge! Not worth it , won't be coming back here.

When it comes to food, I never judge a burger by its bun, so thanks to Yelp for helping me find it. The sign in the window says "Asian fusion" which usually sends me running as it's often a cop-out label for bad mixed-up Asian cooking, but this is authentic y'all, meaning true-to-tradition dishes with a sometimes more contemporary application of ingredients or flavors. The "fusion" part must come from the fact that they have a small Taiwanese section as well as the main Szechuan/Sichuan menu, alongside a few familiar Chinese-American favorites like sesame chicken or broccoli x protein, so you can get that here too. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Great flavors, generous portions, cooked with confidence and finesse. Compliments to the kitchen - they really know what they're doing. Not a single dish was lacking. They even put out peanuts at the start and serve fresh orange slices at the end of the meal. Very old school. We loved it all: * Salt & white pepper crispy chicken ("Taiwanese specialty") - well-battered and flavored, and perfectly crispy * Taiwanese minced pork rice * Chicken red curry - fabulous, with fresh vegetables and just the right balance of spice * Golden dish (fish) - very special dish in a salted duck egg yolk batter * Beef chow fun * Marinated crispy duck Wish I lived closer, but will definitely come back when we are in the area. Best of the best - very highly recommended!

All of the above were true, and the food was quite good too. Each of us got a lunch special w/ Thai Basil Beef, and it was a good dish. I enjoyed the wonton soup and side of rice too, and it was a really great price for all of that. Service is pretty fast and friendly; the waiter switched our soup orders by accident, but when he came back to bring more stuff, he noticed when we had switched them, which I give him some credit for. Everything is nice and fast, no issues there. Inside, it's a pretty good amount of space, and nice decoration throughout. My friend and I both thought the door to get from the foyer into the restaurant had a really nice design. Everything in there is clean and nicely put together. Men's room was clean too - not very big, but good enough size.

Thus, while service was reasonable, a person shouldn't assume anything about anyone: not these days, nor any era. To give each customer the benefit of doubt is the most basic of refined manners. The food, however, is well prepared and fresh in quality. The restaurant does seem to cater towards a more elderly audience based on the presentation styles and music choices. While the vegetables and shrimp dishes were clearly fused from different cultures to some extent, the fried rice might have had a bit too much salt as diabetes is on the rise these days--so we tend to choose lighter salt in meals. The pricing could also be more reasonable for simple and traditional choices.

That sadly was the best part of the night. We ordered; 8 AYCE and 2 ordered ala carte. My wife's vegetarian and doesn't eat much and my mom doesn't eat raw sushi and ordered the teriyaki shrimp. 1. The service is horrible. We waited 20mins to get our first appetizers. The waitress just dropped off plates and didn't explain what they were. My mom noticed the table next to us ordered what she got and a few minutes later, the waitress asked if she received her entree, which she replied no, and then she went to the table next to us and grabbed their plate and brought it back to the kitchen. We assume they reheated and replated the dish because it was way overcooked. 2. Long wait. Some items didn't arrived after over an hour and we asked about them multiple times. As we were ordering our 2nd round, we just reordered them. We got our waters refilled often but they never checked in to see if we were receiving our food or if we wanted to order more. Like they didn't ask one time. 3. Lost in translation. My parents are immigrants, so I am pretty understanding but the waitress didn't understand much of what I was saying and when I asked for extra ginger while pointing at it she looked very confused. I also asked her what a few items were when she brought them, and she didn't respond. 4. 10% coupon: don't bother trying to use the 10% off coupon from their own website. When we asked for the check, I showed her the coupon and she looked confused like I made it up and I let her know it was from their website under "coupons". She went to the back to ask about it and returned to say it was for online orders only. I mentioned that the coupon doesn't have any fine print except it can't be used with any other offers, and she didn't try to help at all which was frustrating. At the end of the day, it was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. The food quality was ok except for my mom getting a reheated meal. But the service was terrible. It sucks to have to wait so long for food and things coming out randomly and my son and wife waiting over an hour for their items while others are pretty much done. Save yourself the aggravation and try something else.

The lobster was cut into small pieces, which were overcooked and tough and dry. The sauce makes it much messier to eat. I didn't care for it at all. Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.
