As you walk in you feel like home. A warm comfortable, local hang out with good entree specials and incredible soup. Usually there is 3 different soup options available daily for $3.99 a bowl. The creamy reuben soup is one of those delicious specialties. Today they had a pot roast entree special for $6.75 (open face on white bread) with gravy, mashed potatoes (homemade) and canned green beans with garlic and butter. I've been here numerous times and you can't miss by ordering the soup. Some of the other entrees on the menu are good but lack flavor/herbs such as the chicken parmesan. The prices are good and they have usually good beer on tap if your looking for that. The service is fast and you get a well rounded meal without breaking the bank.

Chipotle, Turkey Rice soup.

The season has begun and I was thrilled to have this place up and running! What a fantastic meal!…read moreSauerbraten was tender and tasty, weinerschnitzel was outstanding, spaetzle delicious as always and perfect potato pancakes! The pretzel was soft and delicious and the beer is always a bonus! Friendliest warm staff- this time we had Laura who is efficient, helpful and so very sweet! Penny stopped by to say hello- another outstanding server and so happy to see her back for a new season! Can't wait to make it a dinner trip every time we are in town! Highly recommend this place to all!! And what a great, fun German vibe!!!!! A+++. (Gordie the musician made it extra special this time! So talented!!!)

The waitresses are very kind and dressed in traditional German dresses and the live music is a great touch. To start, I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea that had a bit too much punch to it. The alcohol ratio was quite off and was very hard to drink. I asked for a soda to try and dumb it down, but was only able to get about half way through it. Though this was my fault for not ordering a beer at a German restaurant, I still would have liked the drink to be a bit tastier and is unfortunately the only thing keeping this review from being a shinning 5-stars. For my meal I ordered the sauerbraten which did NOT disappoint! The beef was very tender and the vinegar mixed with the gravy was the perfect level of sour and hearty. The red hot red cabbage was hot and flavorful and the potato pancakes were perfectly cooked. The side of applesauce put on top of the potato pancakes added the right amount of sweetness. A friend got the special rouladen which I got a taste of and was very delicious. The pickles inside were flavorful and the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The menu is a bit pricey, but the portions are deceptively filling. I definitely expected to be hungry after but I finished my plate absolutely stuffed! Overall, this was a great experience and would recommend anyone looking for a taste of Germany to give this a try.

This was my second time here and I was reminded of how great it is. We were in town at the…read morefairgrounds and opted to come here for lunch, close by and easy parking. We took advantage of the beautiful day and enjoyed the patio, it's a really nice space inside and out. The service was great from start to finish and felt very welcomed by the staff. Of course I opted for a flight, it is a brewery after all. I chose a selection of IPAs and enjoyed them all. The first time I came here was for a yelp event and we got to try all the burgers, they were amazing! My friend ordered a burger and it looked amazing, she enjoyed it. The fries were also house made and very well done, I snagged a few. I was craving wings and I had a feeling they would have great ones, and they did. They were perfectly tender and moist with a great crisp, the medium sauce was spot on, even the blue cheese was great. I was intrigued by the fried asparagus so I ordered that too, they were huge! The tempura batter was so light and crispy, the asparagus was cooked nicely inside and was still a bit crisp and the sauces were perfect, both went so good with the dish. These also reheated super well when I brought them home as left overs. This is a perfect place to stop when you're in Chatham. Beer, food and service is top notch.

Adding a new review to update. The first time we went to this brewery was amazing. Excellent food,…read moreservice, atmosphere and beer. The second time was very mediocre. Food was not great. Much smaller portions AND raised prices. You can do one or the other, not both. Service was mediocre and all three of us left hungry. Took over two hours just to get food and drinks to our table. I'm sad about it because it was amazing the first time. We brought a friend after hyping the place up and it was a total letdown.
