Genevieve was absolutely wonderful. Gave us so much information about the winemaking process and regions of their grapes. Also answered so many of our random questions and made us feel very welcome. The wine was an added bonus if you ask me. Thank you for making my birthday experience so special!

This is a hidden gem! Nestled near the Goleta neighborhoods by lake Los Carneros, this place has full service wine tasting and lots of bottles to try! Primarily sourced from the Santa Rita hills, you can taste the quality that you would expect from California wine. While the weather is mild, I recommend stopping by and grabbing a seat in their extended outdoor area, filled with several fire pits to lounge around while you sip. Will be back to sample more wine soon!

Always delicious swirling here at Samsara. Even better with tasting room mascot Gus.

For everyone who knows just how special the Santa Rita Hills/Santa Ynez Valley is for exquisite wines, Samsara Wine is the place to be to taste and experience just how special that Appellation has been. A very friendly tasting room with comfy seating inside or out. And pet friendly too. We were greeted by the tasting room English Cream mascot, Gus. He welcomed us warmly and kept us entertained throughout the tasting. Our server Anna was very gracious in walking us through the delicious tasting, and made sure we knew exactly where each bottle was harvested, as well as the history behind those special vineyards. Hard to pick a favorite, which means we will definitely be back to revisit each one. Thoroughly enjoyed their tasting list of Rose of Mouvedre/Grenache, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Grenache, and their Cuvee d'Inspiration, Syrah/Grenache. Their intimate tasting room is located off Hwy 101 at the Los Carneros exit. Plenty of parking, and within crawling distance of Captain Fatty's Brewery.

We love Samsara! It's a great place to meet up with friends for a tasting or glass of wine. They have lots of outdoor seating and cozy indoor area (with air conditioning). All of the staff is super friendly and the wine is delicious. On our most recent visit we tried the Summer to Chill tasting which consists of all chilled wines, perfect for a hot summer day. The rosé is one of my favorites. They're also dog friendly which is a plus!

Recently had the opportunity to try Samsara and had a great time at their Goleta location. Pretty easy to find with parking available right out front. Indoor and outdoor seating options. They have two different wine tasting options, one of which is all red, but I opted for the one that included whites. All of the wines were excellent. The service was great- super attentive in filling our glasses. The decor inside is really cute. Such a cozy vibe with beautiful plants. Definitely stop in if you're in the area!

Great Pinot Noirs! The wine tasting was very educational all our questions about the wines and vineyards were answered. Loved the ambiance!

What a hidden gem!…read more We went to the Tasting Room on a whim, trying to kill some time before our dinner reservation, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay at Bacara. Yvonne is wonderful. She knows her wine and she explains everything so well. I'd say our wine knowledge is low to medium, and she is informative without being pretentious. You can tell she loves sharing her passion for wine. We ended up talking about all kinds of things, and she is just a very interesting person, period. We had a lovely time with Yvonne, and I felt like we took a fun wine class for 30+ minutes. We could've stayed a lot longer but we had to leave for our dinner reservation. We've done many wine tastings over the years, and this was one of our favorites, for sure. I think it is a great idea that Bacara has this on the resort premise, and so glad we went! It's easy to miss, but I think it will be worthwhile if you like/love wine, or even if you're just interested in finding out more about it. Next to the coffee shop in front of the hotel entrance. How often can you do wine tasting and have the option to walk back to your room and take a nap if you want? So convenient!

Yvonne was our sommelier and tasting guru. It was just the two of us and our dog. Oh, and and a very loud and demanding group of eight people off to the side. Yvonne did her best to keep them happy. She succeeded. We were happy too!!! Yvonne was very informative about the wines of Santa Ynez Valley Viticultural area, not to mention very friendly and accomodating. We are from the Sierra Foothills of Amador and El Dorado County areas which are known for their hearty Zins, Barbaras and other Rhone varietals. Yvonne took us on a tasting tour of the Santa Ynez Valley and the wide variety of beautiful wines. Impressive to say the least. The whites were great! Something that we don't have much of in the Sierra Foothills. Go if you have the time whilst at the Bacara.

I highly recommend getting a flight to taste their wide selection of amazing wines. Our server, Isaac, was awesome. From their reds, whites and rosés you will definitely have a selection to choose your favorites. There is a cave room, an indoor bar area, and lots of open patio space. When we got there they were playing music which was really fun and added to the overall vibe there but it stopped around 1:00 - not sure why or if they always only play music in the early part of the day. I wish they would've kept it on though I've seen other reviews say they will sometimes have food trucks but we didn't see any during our 2+ hours there. They have small snacks like charcuterie though but we didn't try it. Our main issue with the winery is the service. We ordered 2 flights and an additional glass of our favorite from the tasting at the end. It took an extremely long time to get the next tasting each time and almost seemed like our table was forgotten. Asked for the check and it never came either and eventually walked up to a counter to pay that way. Definitely saw other people trying to wave down the server for their checks / to order and having the same issues. The wines themselves were good and I think it's still a pretty winery to check out - just make sure you are not in a rush or on a schedule.

This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

In my day…read more. I have been to so many Vineyards & even a few Farms too. But this place.. Is a twofer! Yeah, baby! A Vineyard AND a Farm! Beat that Napa Valley! Ok, Ok.. I know Napa Valley is like THE Mecca of Wineries, at least in California, & going there once before, I kinda understand, kinda. But is it really that much better? In my humble opinion.. Ehh. It was whatever Sure, I'm down dropping a nice crispy Benjamin to get that aged, vintage 2013 Cab.. But will I really care, or even notice once that bottle is depleted & I'm now ordering the 2nd least expensive Chenin Blanc on the menu just to wash away all my worries. (Suddenly, Every wine snob, wine aficionado & novice sommelier enters the chat) But, But Lance, it's Napa, How dare you speak against this Holy Land of all Superior Wine. And to that I say, I get it. I truly understand that not all wine is created equally, but also that not all of us have the BIG BUCKS to continuously drop $100 big ones on that prized Napa Cab. Hey, call me crazy, but to me, it's not just ALL about the wine that is produced, but more about the overall experience. It's the vibe. It's the way you are treated. & it's definitely about how they made you feel. Anyone else getting Maya Angelou vibes?? IYKYK ;) **All Wine Snobs have left the Chat** *Vega Vineyard and Farm has entered the chat* Alright team Vega, sit back, kick your feet up, & just listen while I brag a little about you. It was a BEAUTIFUL November afternoon just 4 days prior to Thanksgiving. We were heading back south from Paso Robles & decided to make a little pit stop before getting all the way back home. So my wife looked up wineries in the area that were kid friendly & Vega was at the top of the list. Walking in, we noticed that they had a little restaurant right at the entrance, so we went to put our name down for a table. Unfortunately, the wait time was a little longer than we wanted to wait, only because we had the kids with us, but the hostess suggested if we didn't want to wait, that they had more food on the other end of the farm in "Pops Place". Other than the wine itself, eating the food in "Pops Place" was probably the best move we could have unintentionally made that day. (I'll explain in a bit) So we slowly made our way towards the other side of the farm/vineyard & all I can say is, what a gorgeous property it was. The farm life, the outdoors, the weather, & I was with my Fam. It couldn't have been a better day! Once we got to Pops Place, it was like we entered into a whole new world. A huge area for kids with a jungle gym, stations for outdoor games & activities, benches to sit, even private cabanas you can reserve (not sure if there is a cost) & of course a little shack to order food and wine! So remember earlier when I said eating in Pops Place was probably the best move we could have made that day, Well here are 3 reasons why! 1) We ordered the George's Greek Gyro Pita w/fries (a beef gyro with lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki wrapped in a pita) and.. OH. MY. GAWDDD It was so flippin' GOOD! It was so good, that I didn't even have time to snap a pic, let alone set it down after taking that 1st bite. It was complete perfection! 2) Chicken Strips & Fries from the kids menu w/a side of ranch.. Let's just say, The kids loved 'em. 3) We washed it all down w/a beautiful, crisp, perfect for a fall day, 2024 bottle of their finest ALBARIÑO. & it was, EXCELLENT!! After we sat & ate, let the kids get out all of their energy, the fun at Vega continued. From there, we headed to feed the livestock on the property (lettuce sold onsite for a few bucks). There were Chickens, Goats, Pigs, Emu's & Sheep, and the kids and myself had a blast feeding 'em. After that, we stopped off at one of their gift shops to browse all of the fun stuff. Of course, we got the kids their requested candy! The staff we interacted with while at Vega were all so kind, welcoming & made us feel apart of the extended Vega family. Because of this, we will definitely be coming back next time we pass through. So, & this is where YOU come in! The next time you are passing through Buellton, do yourself, your spouse and your kids, if you've got them, a HUGE favor: Come check out Vega Vineyard & Farm and tell me that I was right!
