La Doña has been my go-to late night food truck whenever I'm craving some good, authentic mexican…read morefood. They're located off the side of the road across from the Walmart on East Colonial. I've been coming here since I moved up to Orlando almost 6 years ago. This time I got their chicken quesadilla gigante and a steak taco. I'm personally a huge fan of loaded quesadillas and I also love the crema and queso they use on top. They hit my savory spot perfectly. Their steak tacos with a corn tortilla are simple and delicious, especially when you squeeze a lime onto it. Another favorite that I didn't get this time are their enchiladas. They're filling, spicy and incredibly delicious. One of my favorite memories here is picking up an out of town friend of ours from a very late flight. As we're looking for a place to eat around 1am that doesn't have a bar/club vibe, we drove past the truck and to our surprise the lights were on and there were people ordering! This place is a little hidden gem and I can't recommend it enough :)

Our servers were friendly and welcoming. We went on Taco Tuesday where they have 4 options for $1 tacos! I tried both pork options (carnitas and cochinita). Both were amazing! The cochinita was marinated in orange juice (I'm not the biggest fan of orange juice) but the flavors were delicious! I also ordered the house margarita which was purple! I tried the supreme nachos and the guacamole and everything was amazing! I can't wait to go back!

Daniela was nice, friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions about the menu and their offerings. She told us that they open in the afternoon and all day Friday and Saturday. They also have $2 tacos on Tuesday. I love al pastor tacos and it has been very difficult to find the real deal. These were okay and they were missing flavor and a bit of salt. The Patronas Pirata plate was made from al pastor meat, cheese, onions, pineapple and came with rice and beans. The taste was good but missing more of a homemade flavor. The churros tasted very good, specially with the cajeta filling, but the dough was a bit undercooked. We may give them another try if we are around the area.

The tortillas had that homemade feel with just the right texture, and the toppings were fresh and balanced. The green sauce was so good, it took everything to another level. Simple menu, but done right. Service was friendly and quick, and the whole spot has that low-key, authentic vibe that makes you want to come back. Definitely worth it I'll be coming again for sure. Don't be like me and order there, you'll end up waiting 30mins on a busy night...watching everyone else pick-up their delicious smelling bags of food. Steak, chicken, Barbacoa, and potato tacos. Steak burrito. Extra hot sauce. Horchata. Filling is abundant, tacos are pre-sauced, limes on the side, good prices for the quality and quantity of the food. Great location with decent parking availability as well. Super cozy under the oak tree. I absolutely housed the tacos. They were really good, not typical flavors in my opinion. Maybe like a different regional flavor of the standard al pastor and carnitas that we're used to but really really good. I used to live in LA and these would almost be better than the ones at my LA spot...if Francisco's made their own fresh tortillas. Don't let the tacos sit for long, they get soggy and the tortillas will tear. My new favorite, go-to spot. So sorry to fiesta Mexico in Apopka.
