I love Sams Club! I love being able to scan and go. The selection is awesome. Provides some good alternatives that Costco doesnt. Biggest complaint is this is a glamorized Walmart and you'll see it by the customers who shop here and the employees. Went in early Feb. Watched a girl eat some chocolate covered strawberries and hide the container by the liquor. Some of the workers were short and rude in their responses. Even showing my scan code to leave-the young lady was too busy chatting with her coworker and wasnt paying attention. This is the closest location to me- would definitely like to check another store for a better experience. read more

Shocked and deeply frustrated by the discriminatory treatment at this Sam's Club just now, June 24th. I attempted a gift card purchase. My credit card briefly declined due to a standard bank security check, which I immediately resolved. Despite my payment being cleared, Team Lead 'Demmy' intervened and explicitly ordered the cashier to refuse my purchase. When I tried to explain the bank's clearance, Demmy was incredibly dismissive, repeatedly told me to 'listen to her', then she avoided answering questions about her name or how to file a complaint, and even falsely claimed gift cards can't be bought with credit cards. Her communication with the cashier in Spanish while deciding my transaction also felt deliberately exclusive. This felt like direct discrimination, targeting me unfairly. Unprofessional and unacceptable behavior that Sam's Club upper management needs to investigate. read more

So sorry I joined. The customer service in this place is abysmal. I joined via a promotion on September 26th. The come-on was sign up for 45.00, get 45.00 off your first in-store purchase. When I got to the store I went to customer service to activate my membership. There was only one person at customer service, and she was on the phone while taking care of transactions. When I asked if the offer was on my card she said yes without looking. I bought a bunch of stuff, and checked out with the app because they only had one register working, and even the self-checkouts were busy. That worked, but I didn't get the credit. I looked over the offer again when I got home and it said that the items had to be purchased at a register or a self-checkout, so I figured I'd get it next time. I went back a few days later, used the self checkout and it didn't give me the credit. Customer service had a huge line and only one person working again, so I waited. I went back today, went up to customer service, waited on the line. The woman (who was alone) didn't look at my membership and said that it had to be purchased at a dedicated register, not at a self-check. The offer says you can use self-check, but whatever. I figured I'd try a third time. At no time did she scan my card to see if the offer were loaded. I picked up 5 items, waited on a 20 minute line, only to be told that no, there was no promotional credit. The cashier called over a manager, who said "those offers take 6-8 weeks." I pull up the offer and show her that it says it would be loaded within 72 hours. She goes to customer service with my card and tells me it was a regular membership, not promotional. She shows me nothing was loaded. I show her my confirmation email and sighs, telling me it should have been loaded at the desk at my first visit. She manually credited me the 45.00, so she gets the only star for this place. The store itself: messy. Dirty in spots. Selection isn't as good as it is at Costco, and quite honestly, the prices are higher. Everyday staples like butter are cheaper by far at Aldi or Lidl. I passed a display of Dunkaroos and someone had been eating them. The box was open. I noticed a box of Barilla pasta was open, too, and the box flaps had been folded in. Produce looked wilted. Costco is much closer to home, BJs is much closer to work, so I probably won't use Sam's in the future. What a disappointment. read more

It is not worth the membership dollars. They cancel online orders with no notification (not a text, not an email) and you don't know about the cancellation until you get to the warehouse/store. Upon asking the staff how this could have happened, you get no answer. No help, no acknowledgement of mistakes, no willingness to make things right by getting the online order quickly. Another online order for delivery also got cancelled without any notification. I should have just ordered from Amazon and not wasted my time. When I finally reached someone at customer service, they could not even figure out why the orders were cancelled. Such stupid and idiotic mistakes, with no acknowledgement nor recourse. read more

Sam's Club is awesome! I really love this location, the whole Harmon Meadow plaza is pretty busy but every time I come to Sam's Club it's really not crowded. The parking lot is huge, the workers are helpful. It's my favorite wholesale shop. The fruits and veggies here are so worth it. I've seen Driscoll blackberries here for 3.50 for a huge container. Veggies are also super cheap. They also have some fantastic products from their own brand. Great dips and spreads. I'd avoid the regular check out and just do self checkout, it's so quick and easy. I'd definitely recommend this spot over Costco. It's much more calm and you don't have to fight anyone on your shopping trip! read more

Sam's club sucks. Had spent a lot of money on the premiere membership, to shop early. Cafe doesn't open until 10am for regular members. Just found out that the company itself is a liar. They extended my membership till March 2024, went in to get a new card cause I lost mine and they said my membership expired (December 2023). Their soda is always watered down. Lines suck cuz they don't open all registers. So I guess I don't want the membership anyway. Any now it's $110 for premiere when the regular membership is $50.00. greed. read more

i dropped by Sam's to see if they are worth me renewing my membership and the answer is no ! The only thing they had that I can used was paper towels. The biggest problem with Sam's is they are next to Walmart and they don't compete with each other. So I can get the 12 = 26 rolls of Bounty Towels but the not smaller packages at Sam's and Walmart would sell all the other sizes but one Sam's has. Now if I end up in the market for a fridge, giant flat screen, mattress, tires, or a case of 36 cans of tomato sauce I may reconsider. read more

Sams Club has been my 'go to' store for anything that doesn't perish quickly. The prices are great and they make it easy to purchase bulk supplies of water, soda, cleaning products, spices, etc. They even carry everything from tires, mattresses, liquor, office supplies, jewelry, furniture, clothing, books, outdoor furniture, grills, toys and everything in between. Their meat is fresh, large selection of meat, chicken, fish. They have a large supply of bakery items, fruit, vegetables, dairy and frozen foods. My favorite part of shopping there lately is being able to use their app which makes it easy to go in, shop, and leave with no lines. I highly recommend. read more

Finally ventured into this store for the Cafe section, since I now know one doesn't have to be a member to enjoy their Cafe. I've been a regular shopper at the nearby Walmart for grocery shopping savings. But as anyone knows, Walmart no longer has food for purchase, except McDonalds. They use to have large pies that were really bad, but on occasions when the fam was HANGRY we would just grab, eat, and suffer regrets later. So yesterday, I'd discovered that they have large pies for less than $10 and drinks for lest than a dollar. The whole fam enjoyed a pie and ul drinks on picnic tables. Pretty awesome cashier service that is friendly and good. Can't beat that! We even went ahead and purchased a year membership for $10 for their special anniversary price that ended on 4/19. read more

The first year was OK--competitive with BJ's, anyway. HOWEVER, once I started writing negative reviews on IG, management found ways to harass me. At the start of the third year, I downgraded my membership as the PLUS held no advantage. As I started to encounter problems obtaining my usual items, I posted negatively on IG. The "scanner" that I was using then stopped working on account of payment not being OK'd--never mind that I had used the same CC successfully in the past. I tried one last time to fix it by entering the app info at my home computer and everything seemed kosher. I then purchased $147 worth of goods and using the app at the store, I was told my CCV was not valid. The Secaucus, NJ, management, I discovered, uses the local police to get away with harassing customers that have posted negatively online. I know this because when I get there, there are no cops, when I leave there are at least two cops standing around the exit (I come at different times, BTW). I had a conversation with one cop who informed me that the store has an "arrangement" with the Secaucus PD. This he said after I accused them of maintaining a fascist relationship. People should understand that buying in bulk only means that stuff will go bad on you or it ends up just occupying space in the cupboard or frig. On top of that, Sam Club often runs out of your favorite items and often doesn't bother to restock; or, they move the pallets around willy nilly to accommodate large purchases of water or beer--totally unnecessary and shows the disdain Secaucus management has for its customers. I got my membership money back. It's a shame that excellent employees are working for this fascist store. read more

He is not far from Sam's Club, so he goes there a lot to buy food for my sister and I when we go there, which we do often. When he serves us the food, we always say how amazing it tastes and how wonderful it is. Sam's Club is the best! And, it doesn't only have food! Sam's Club carries furniture, electronics, clothing, shoes, jewelry, tires, and much more! Also, Sam's Club offers incentives such as early shopping hours and discounts for members of the military. After being a long time Costco shopper, I expected my Sam's club experience to be similar - I was misguided. First, this Sam's club is probably one of the busier ones even though it's not as busy as most Costcos. The food court is terrible - food looks and tastes old, greasy, and bland (nothing like costco). On the plus side, Sam's club does have a larger variety of drink selections from the food court with an extra large cup to fill. Sam's club has more labeled aisles, but the food quality is much poorer. Overall, I'd still pick the busier, hectic Costco over this Sam's club. read more

Recently signed to for Sams Club for the first time ever - since they had a membership promotion which was just too good to pass up. It was a 1 year membership for $14.99 which included a $10 coupon for your first shopping trip. I mean what can you actually buy for $5 - really!!! Especially during these Covid/Omicron times, this was essentially a "field trip" to escape the confines of my apt.lol Now, back to "da club"... It was very warehouse-y looking. Almost like a Home Depot, except the shelves were filled with food instead of home improvement stuff. Overall, it was not bad. Costco definitely has better selection (hence, the membership premium) but it was pretty comparable to a BJs in my opinion. Prices were on par with the other wholesale clubs for the most part, and some items were even cheaper with the special sales they were having during that time. Now, the game changer here is that you can actually download the Sams Club app and scan all of your groceries and just walk out. I figured this out after waiting 15 minutes in a line that was not moving at all. The big disappointment was that I had planned on purchasing several bottles of wine (the had a decent selection) but alcohol could not be purchased using the app because they need someone to ID you. As much as I wanted wine, my desire to not wait in line for another 45 minutes won out in the end, and I decided to leave the wine behind. Overall, about what I expected. Not bad based on the deal I got, but I would not pay full price for the membership here. Spend the extra $20 and go to Costco instead. read more

Never been to the place before yet a good friend has. I went to this location during the wrong time apparently, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course there is no toilet paper or paper towels yet that may be a National wide incident across all chains, so I'm not upset wit that...The outside is like a ghost town....parking lot and near the front of the store has paper and garbage debris everywhere. Not sure if the store looked like prior to the pandemic yet it was not a favorable site. Also, lines are out of control however this post is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am a big fan, both of Sam's and "Wally World." Sam's is now sporting a 1-hour line at times due to COVID just to enter, but, I have to say, still worth it. Their produce is top shelf, and prices unbeatable. I don't understand why so few people use the App to check out, choosing to wait in long lines--if you download and use it, you are out of the store in no time. So, hour wait to get in, 15 minute shopping. Anyway, you can't beat it. read more

Although I love that Sams offers curbside pickup, I've had issues with 98% of my orders. The person who brings out the items loading my car with missing items, I was still charged for items out of stock and not recieved, and resulted in me having to wait on hold with customer service and them asking me to drive 30 minutes back to get the items not recieved. I also placed 2 online orders that ended in the product arriving with the box completely open and parts in my driveway, or a gift basket that was advertised and pictured one way, but recieved as half the size and not as advertised. In the end, customer service has fixed the issues, but I'd give more stars if the issues were avoided to begin with. Had customer service not refunded me, and helped with returns, then Sams would get 1 star. I tried reviewing the item, and I couldnt even do that. It shows an error. Have been shopping at this location for over a year now, I have nothing but good experience. The staff are helpful and I really enjoy the hot dog they sell. Recently discovered that the app have a scan and go function that let you pay for the stuff you buy on your phone as you go. which really saved me a lot of time for being in line. Tire selection & service review: 4 stars. pricing is very competitive for premium tires, and the tire service team is thorough. They have a glass window from where you can observe and appreciate the workmanship. However, they take a while and didn't have it ready in the two hour window estimated. There isn't much to see or do in the area besides walking to dreary strip malls. Store items aside from tires: 2 stars. Some things like eggs are more affordable at Costco. The quality of clothing and exciting, novel variety of snacks are better at Costco. But hey, Sam's has a way broader tire selection. read more

The rest of the store is organized a bit oddly -- the cashiers face not the doors, but a side wall of the building. Not sure why it was designed that way. Standard in-bulk goods here. They're not even checking for premium memberships, because an idiot can basically go in there now. There is still a line and everybody waits until they get inside to get their shopping carts witch causes mass chaos. They all move like sheep, people are cutting line and more. My sister is a NJ licensed practicing prescriber, a Physicians Assistant, who sees patients at an urgent care facility in NJ. This Sam's Club will not fill any prescriptions from her because I'm not a regular patient of hers, and she's a relative. The rx in question was not a narcotic or anything - TMI but, it was a gdamn yeast infection pill! Something I hadn't dealt with in at least a decade, and didn't want to deal with one more second than I had to... OR buy those messy OTC creams. Yuck! Oddly, there have been several instances when I became ill while traveling, and Sams Clubs in other states never had an issue filling rxs from my sister. And in the 7 years my sister has been practicing, she's never once encountered such a policy. Not once she said. Lastly, the people who work here are very nice but unbelievably aloof. The girls I always get on the phone are absolutely clueless . I have to repeat over and over again what I want filled, and what I don't want filled. Still, they'll call and ask again! It's to the point that now I always put them on speaker, so others around me can experience the air-headedness I have to deal with every time I call.
