Going down hill fast. Out of stock all the time and ridiculous wait times for prescriptions.

Waited on line at Pharmacy counter for prescription , get to front of line and gentlemen at counter says "Sorry pharmacy closes at 7:00pm" . It was 7:02pm. WOW, thanks for being human. Just awful awful customer service right there. read more

Entire pharmacy staff needs to be fired. They are openly not working while on the clock. I was the only person. Was ignored for about 2 minutes while 2 of 3 staffers joked and laughed in Spanish while watching me standing there. Gave name ,DOB, and said I had new insurance card. The boy grabs the two medications then says "we don't have your insurance on file" (after I just mentioned that I had new insurance) and takes my meds and insurance card to drop off and leaves them there. Takes another 2 minutes for the girl doing nothing to come over. She asks for the insurance card. I politely say "you have the card right there already." 2 minutes later she tells me the insurance card is already in the system and she didn't need the card. Ok? So I go back over to pick up and continue to wait as the only person there for another 2 minutes while being completely ignored. I ask for my medications to the now 3 who are doing nothing at this point and get completely ignored. I am watching the guy show the girls something on his phone and they are laughing. Had to go to the front of the store for the manager. The cvs manager is also a child their age. She tells me she isn't the manager for the pharmacy and that the pharmacy manager isn't present. I told her I was being openly ignored and that I needed assistance. She goes to the back and says can you take care of her. The staff says "we told her just a minute we needed her insurance card idk why she's upset." like what?! You gave me back the card already. Blatantly lying and acting completely high and disrespectful instead of doing their jobs. They need to be drug tested and fired regardless of the results just for being so rude and incompetent. God forbid you get all bent out of shape for doing a simple task which is part of your job. read more

Monday, I waited on line at the pharmacy for 10 min. Because it was 8:01 when it was my turn, they refused to give me my prescription. The next day, Tuesday, I got there at 7:55 pm and it was closed though it says 8 pm. This has been extremely inconvenient especially since I need my prescription. read more

I am beginning to hit this spot up more often now that they renovated the interior of the place. Since this place is practically within spitting distance of my apartment, it is extremely convenient to go to when I need a simple item and fast. It is a little more pricey than the CVS I used to work at, but remember you are paying Hoboken prices. The staff here is friendly and will help you with anything you need. Their selection of items is very good and store is usually well stocked with items. If you get a CVS card you can get some great sale deals. Overall I gave this place three stars because of the spitting distance from my place, the friendly and helpful staff, and the selection of items it offers. Like with any other chain, it is standardized so what you expect to find at other CVS you can find here. I will be going back here again whenever I need that quick item and do not want to wait to go to the grocery store to get it. read more

This is a great CVS. It's way better then the downtown 24 hour one. First off, there's no homeless folks to hassle you. Yes that's a plus because it is an annoyance, I'm sorry. Also from a practical standpoint, the pharmacy here is simply better. It's faster and the people staffing it are nicer and more competent. Sadly, the pharmacist who used to work here and I knew quite well is no longer there but the new one seems just as great. I'm a modern man, and CVS has pretty much all the basics covered. I took advantage of the fact that my husband could stay in our car in the parking lot of the Malibu Diner (after we ate there) while I went across the street to this CVS, and it's one of the nicest CVS stores I've ever been to. The cashier was a VERY sweet-natured woman, the manager was also very friendly, the store is very clean and the exterior is particularly attractive. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!! Go to any cvs but this one, trust me. The blasé attitude of the millennial twerps that work in this store is disgusting. Can't believe cvs would hire these slackers. The attitude is next level. They hide in the back and smoke pot I'm assuming or pop pills based on their lethargic uninterested or aware of the world around them attitude. I needed to get a few things that were locked up so I guess no one shop lifts - who knew deodorant was such a hot commodity? Side bar- at least I'm happy people are taking care of their stinky pits. Ariel Sanchez is the store manager and he's very professional and helpful. I'm always greeted with a smile by Sandra. The store is clean and well stocked. Good pharmacy. Has a lot of items for good prices. The selection is not as big as Duane Reade but there prices are better. The self checkout is quicker than waiting, but it can be complicated. The umbrellas are good priced. Recommend if you need a quick cheap item. read more

This CVS is awesome - it's really spacious and they have a nicely stocked grocery section if you've forgotten something at the grocery store and are too lazy to make another trip (not that I've ever done that...ahem). They have a wide selection of other items too, including many higher-end hair care products that some other CVS locations don't carry. The 126 bus drops you off right in front of the store on its way out of the city, so this location is really convenient if I need to grab something quickly on my way home. I popped into CVS having only a few minutes before I needed to run home for a phone interview for a new job. The register clerk saw me and immediately asked me if she could help me find something. I said, "Sure, I need Nyquil or your store brand equivalent." She immediately put a "ring the bell if you need help" sign on the check out desk and told me to follow her. I did. She quickly found what I wanted; she first clarified which strength formula I needed. I told her I needed Advil, too. She took me to that and picked out a package. I then told her that while I was there I wanted to pick up a protein bar. She took me to that aisle, too. I then followed her to the check out desk and made my purchase. It was a quick but friendly shopping moment. She asked if I had a CVS card and I said no. I thought she would ask me to sign up but she did not. Maybe she was being sensitive to my harried demeanor. I was able to get home 10 minutes before my interview! What CVS got right: - Immediately offered assistance - Helped me in my search - Got me out of the store in under 5 minutes Suggestion for making this a more "worthy customer" experience: - The clerk did not offer to open up a CVS customer account for me. I don't mind the fact that they charge .10 per bag... But their employee who pushed the bags on us should be reprimanded. We had a few small items he put in a bag and had a case + 2 big bottles of water which I was positioning to carry out by hand and obviously doesn't require bags. The employee asked like 5x if we wanted bags for the water and said over and over "no thank you". He finally said I'll put the bag inside of the other bag you used for the small items. I just wanted to get out of there and stop talking about bags so was like "whatever". Then get home and found he charged us for both of the bags. It's only .10 but COME ON!!! Are you doing this to all of the customers , or you just already charged us for the bag and didn't feel like removing it? Bad enough there were 4 people on line at first and NO ONE at the registers for like 5 minutes. No work ethic anymore. Good day! read more

This is a great CVS, I just wish they had parking as it makes it very difficult for me to get here. They pharmacy staff is always friendly and helpful taking the time to assist you. Normally you feel rushed. I am very disappointed in this place! Bad service! The cashiers are usually nice.. but the man in glasses at the "pick up place pharmacy" was rude and unresponsive. It was my first time at the CVS when I pick up some medicine, so I gave that man my information and he just didn't want to take it and didn't want to help me at all. He gave me really hard time. So I went to other CVS on Washington street and they did everything quickly with no any problems and questions and I got medicine which I needed.
