Sam's club has all the bells and whistles that a wholesale mega store needs to offer and its all pretty elaborate and nice. Being a member of Costco, decided to try Sam's when they offered a $20 promotional membership for a year. Its good to know they offered similar deals on similar, yet, different products. Like , say candy bar bags for Halloween- both Costco and Sams offer big bags but with different candies in it, and since I had both membership last year, got to choose what I wanted in my trick or treat bag. Or travel suitcases, snacks, or anything for that matter. Similar but different. They had a station where a guy was demonstrating his knife over a loud speaker. And then there were free sample of food being given out as well. Great stuff at good price. read more

I open with that to establish my credentials as a connoisseur AND historian of this 'buy a whole bunch of stuff you prolly but may not need for a price that makes you feel like you saved but do you REALLY know cause you spent $500 instead of the $100 you budgeted' establishment. :-) THAT SAID..... Today was the $8.00 sign up for a membership which ends tomorrow. The store was very nice with lots of reasonably priced goodies. It took a bit to sign up, then it took a while to check out, took two different employees and being checked out 3 times before it took, i'm only deducting one star because the employees were polite and apologetic for the snafu. Not going to lie, after reading the reviews about how horrible the customer service was at this location, I was nervous to make a return here. Needless to say, I made my return yesterday and it couldn't have been nicer! Upon entering and showing my card to the worker, I mentioned I had a return. The gentleman tagged my item and showed me where to go. I waited in line at the customer service desk for maybe 2-3 minutes. Worker at the desk was friendly and quick. After my return was processed and I was exiting the area, the guy at the door who initially checked my card asked if everything went well. This was NOTHING like the reviews said. Phew! Store is generally stocked well. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 quarantine, the TV selection was pretty bare. (But that was everywhere: Walmart, Best Buy, Target we're cleaned out too). This location didn't have some of the same items my last Sam's club had. Not a huge deal. I LOVE browsing the clothing section! We've found some awesome Astros shirts for a great price! Speaking of great prices, I found some grass fed beef here for under $3/lb! Score! Only "negative" is that the lines tend to be fairly long every time we come. read more

It's okay. The staff arent the friendliest but we try to avoid that just by using the app to avoid lines. What I hate is the traffic at the gas pumps. Car's are entering from the exit and going into gas pumps in the opposite direction and the employees at the gas pumps dont say anything. Its such a mess sometimes I just avoid it by pumping at the buccees nearby instead. read more

Rude employee. I'm giving two stores strictly based on how an employee treated me. As I was entering she asked to see my Sam card. I kindly explained to her it was on my phone and zipped away in my backpack. Typically I would have it ready but this time I was wrestling with three year old to sit down in the cart as well as marking sure my seven year old was keeping up. This employee continued to fuss at me for not having my card and threaten to have someone come down and get me for not having my card. SAM'S, please stop with checking memberships at the door! It's a waste of time. I understand doing it for plus members in the morning before general hours but c'mon. I wouldn't be walking into your club trying to shop if I didn't have a card. I worked at Sam's in the past and I know checking memberships at the door is useless. Save that energy for checking receipts on the way out and don't let your employees threaten guest on their way in! read more

This is my local store. The lines are always long but it serves a huge area. The staff is good and although lines are long they move fast. It's easy to find help someone is always close. The bakery is good but come early on the weekends to get the good stuff as people buy quick. It has all your electronics to choose from. I actually got my tv from here a few months back. This club has gone downhill SEVERELY. The tire/battery department never has enough employees to handle demand. And, the food area is almost always filthy. Today, it was worse than usual. There was a huge spill on the floor that went unmapped for the entire time I was there. The tables were dirty with food stains, floors had napkins and other trash all over them and the soda machines were out of Pepsi and Coke. There was simply seltzer water coming out of all 5 spouts! Totally unacceptable! This place needs to get it together. read more

I was visiting this location in Pearland early Tuesday morning. Ordering at the Concierge location. They were short-handed, two employees working cars on the right side of the lanes and one on left. Okay. So the waits were long Two cars in front of me on left. When they were serviced, two more cars pulled in. The employee started on those two instead of working down lane. But this not about me. The couple next to me and appeared to be in their 80's had been there the longest after I was serviced. They were very tired and dissatisfied. The employee was moved to right side who at that moment worked cars last to come in. But they complained quite a bit. All three employees now working right-side. No one on left. The elderly couple just got back in car and kept waiting. read more

Good for bulk shoppers and specific promotions. Do not eat the hot dogs at the food court. You might get sick. Stick with some other menu item. Be prepared to present your card at the front door. They will not let you come into the store anymore without it. You will have to visit customer service by the entrance to get a replacement card. read more

When she first got there she asked the assistant manager where she had to go and the assistant manager gave her the worst attitude ever , also it was super un-organized and unprofessional because she didn't even get interviewed by the manager who told her to come in and it turns out the position was filled and they didn't let her know through call/text. They have no respect for employees. I used to work there. they write you up for not finishing everything. They want you to do everything in a small amount of time. No excuses. A lot of people quit there. I got written up multiple times when short staffed and the managers just don't care. Such as in the bakery department. Save yourself and don't work here. Lindi in bakery was soooo rude to me, this is literally my second time ordering a cake and cookie cake. Sad to say my time I came to pick up my first ever order the cake was cracked and I had to wait a while extra day to get my cake which wasn't even at my sons party smh. Battery shop - well... don't waste your time. I've been here 3 times, it always a 10-15 minute wait to get helped, they denied that the battery went bad... but everyone else tells me otherwise. They did go ahead and replace it, but the customer service is bad, the staff IS nice and friendly, the manager interrupts you constantly. Again - go somewhere else. This store is horrible! They never answer the calls, if they do your on hold until the line disconnects. They have now canceled two of my club delivery's with out any notifications. Opening day is always such a big deal. All the goodies I got are not going to be available everyday but my yelp followers know I am a sucker for freebies.
