This is our go to place for grocery shopping, we love the cleanliness and organized experience. Until we had Kimberly M as our cashier, she flipped both our HEB made pizza's and threw them at the bagger, she also threw our glass bottled drinks. I spend a considerable amount of time + money here over the last 2 years since moving to the area. So to start I'd like to preface 99% of the time they always have what we need + prices are decent. The reason for my review today though is something that has gone on for way to long that I'm finally fed up with enough to say something. The employees here are hit + miss with genuine customer service. I am pregnant currently + I can't tell you how many time I've almost been ran over with that cart thing they use to order pick ups; let alone just walking down the isles + dang near never allowing the customer to walk first. Now I get y'all are working + got a lot on your plate but the customers that are coming into your store still deserve respect + a smile every now + then. H‑E‑B does a lot of things right, a lot!!!!! But when it comes to their employees on the floor they need a hardcore customer service retraining done. I will add that the cashiers are a toss up, becos most of them are super friendly + a blessing to get us check out quickly so this review is mainly geared toward the ones working the floor. I would love to see this corrected as we spend so much here + more often than not do we leave with a bad sense of why didn't we go to Kroger instead of dealing with the people that work here. read more

There is at least ten items I purchase on a regular basis, none of which HEB carries. My theory is: the larger the store, the more departments they have. The more departments they have, the fewer items in each department. Yet they devote a whole isle or more to alcohol. Thank goodness there is always Kroger. read more

So very disappointed with HEB today. I received a call less than 2 hours before my cake was to be picked up saying they didn't have red velvet and could they substitute. Mind you they knew they ddn't have any the day prior when shipment came in. I asked if they could call around and see if other HEBs had the cake. He said they couldn't because they don't do orders less than 24 hours. I asked even in special circumstances that were the fault of them not me. He said no. So now no time to get another cake. Big fail HEB! Mind you, the same HEB that I got accused of stealing and the young girl made a big ordeal in front of customers and I showed her that I had 2 transactions and 2 receipts. She was literally standing next to me at the self check out lane and was literally looking at me paying and bagging. read more

This heb is great for in and out shopping like 15 items or less. The cashiers are usually friendly and knowledgeable. It is particularly packed on the weekends and is hard to move around. But the atmosphere has friendly people that try and respect your space. Go HEB! read more

My husband and I had were trying to ask one of the guys in a group a question only one of them answered because they were too busy talking and laughing. We asked a simple question and he responded loudly with a "HUH" with a weird bothered face. Overall they just acted so careless and immature. At the end they were laughing at us due to our accent and question basically acting like high schoolers! Respect goes a long why it doesn't hurt anyone. read more

HEB is like any store. They will pick your pocket given a chance. HEB tries to be the store that Kroger dreams about. People in my neighborhood go to Kroger because it is never crowded. My first home delivery was great! Customer service was friendly and adjusted my bill for a missing item. Delivery fee is lower than what I am use too. Most items were available in this time of Coronavirus. Hats off to H-E-B for having meat and veggies. Delivery was prompt and they placed the bags at the door as requested. Ok so finally broke down and went to this new giant HEB. Wow I was impressed. This place has everything. Right of I had 3 delicious food samples served to me. The sushi counter has a great selection. The Meat counter also is very nice and large. Also tons of nice looking seafood. Now on to the beer section. Amazing large selection. They even had someone there to help who actually knew their stuff. Otherwise it is just a very large grocery store with quality food and pretty good prices. I think the Kroger's across the street is going to suffer. read more

This is a huge HEB. It is about as close as you can get to a Central Market without actually being a Central Market. They have a wide range of things for sell in various areas of the store. They do have some special coffees that I have only been able to find at the Friendswood HEB. The Dickinson HEB doesn't seem to have as good of a selection so I was glad to find our favorite at the South Shore location. Oh, and I bought a chandelier for our dining room while I was there. My favorite grocer in the area. Nice selection of meats. Produce is good, although there have been a few items I've not found when I wanted them. Cheeses are the bomb. They didn't carry Maytag Bleu -- until I asked them to. It was in the store within a couple of days. Seafood counter is also excellent for a grocery store. The pharmacy is pathetic. They have messed up my prescriptions more than once. They don't handle refill orders timely and it often takes multiple phone calls to get them to refill a prescription. They schedule delivery for prescriptions, don't show up and blame the 3rd party delivery company. I have been left without my meds because they didn't fill a prescription that was ordered. read more

I was never a big fan of HEB, but unlike Kroger, they do carry ample supplies of Pabst Blue Ribbon, which I like to have a session with on rare occasions. My husband and I went to buy bbq items and it included 6 pack of beer. We went thru the self checkout and he was asked for his ID. He gave them the ID then they proceeded to ID me. The woman (ROWWA) wouldn't allow us to purchase the alcohol because I didn't have MY ID. Not once did I touch the alcohol. I felt discriminated. This is my local HEB. It's new and large and fabulous. I won't go into detail since you probably already know what to expect (they're a fairly consistent brand) but I do want to give a special shout-out for the most excellent samples and community outreach they provide. For real, if you hit this place up around noon on Sunday it is prime time for samples. Last week we had pie, tuna salad, salmon, roast beef, sushi, stuffing and cheese. Not to mention the multiple beer and wine vendors set up at tables with beverage samples. It's delicious AND free- you can't beat that with a stick. read more

My favorite H-E-B for sure! Produce is ALWAYS fresh and meat selection never let's me down. The store is the closest H-E-B to where I live, but I definitely pass a couple grocery stores to get here. I love what the company stands for overall as far as using local farms, etc. as well as their community involvement. It was overwhelmingly beautiful to witness the great response after Hurricane Harvey. I think H-E-B were one of the first groups mobilized providing assistance. Simply amazing! If ever there was a company that showed what it means to start small and grow into something so much more by way of giving back, this is the model! I don't know how to digress back to direct services provided, but I must mention the deli. Awesome! Signature salads, sandwiches, and more made fresh to order with plenty of whatever the topping. We love this place!!! They have so much here. It's entertaining just to cruise the aisles and see what all they have! They have a great fresh fruit and vegetable section. They make their own guacamole and it's fantastic. The seafood section is really good with a great selection to choose from. They have a great meat counter with all kinds of cuts and pre made hamburgers to choose from. They also have a great beer and wine section too!!! They have their own in store florist. Have bought HEB store brand guacamole here twice in last 3 months. Both times it has gone bad,tingly on the tongue within 3 days! NOT buying it anymore... This is in reference to their pharmacy. The service is not only poor (called three times to confirm a refill only to get there the next day and still not ready) but they screw up your prescriptions. My doc prescribed a drug that was supposed to have 45 tablets for 30 days. The HEB pharmacy filled it with 30. I didn't realize this until a couple of days later and saw that the expiration on the whole prescription was going to expire a few months before I could actually get all the refills. I called and asked and was told that my insurance would only pay for 30 tablets every month, and that they just usually did whatever the insurance company would pay for. I told her I WAS THE CUSTOMER, not the insurance company, and that I PAID for that insurance and they should have called me first and asked if I wanted to comply with my doctor's original prescription and pay cash instead. I'm switching my Rx over to an independent pharmacy instead of a brainless grinder like HEB and CVS, too. read more

My best friend utilized the floral and bakery department for a wedding shower and at first when ordering everyone was very nice and things went great but... Upon checking on the flower order a day or two before the event she was very dissatisfied with the arrangements created, she had shown me and HEB pictures of what she wanted and what they put together was NOTHING like what she requested and when she told the personnel the young lady who had been very nice got VERY rude and rather than saying let's look at the pictures again and see what we can do she said this is gonna cost you more. The HEB personnel said what was ordered didn't come in, some of the flowers used weren't even open, they'd taken a hydrangea and put it in a vase and stuck an arrangement in the middle of that, not at all what was asked for and once fixed all she got when she picked up the final product were hydrangeas for all the main center pieces. The one Star is for the young man in the floral department that said ma'am your the customer and if they are not right we need to help make them right. Yay for him. The bakery actually made a very good tasting cake, white cake with French buttercream icing which tasted amazing they just showed a gold that could be utilized and when the cake was picked up it was more yellow than gold for the trim but luckily the cake was good. read more

Very disappointed when went to HEB at 2755 E League City Pkwy, and I saw many customers without masks. When asked an employee if HEB is not requiring masks to enter the store, I was told they have been instructed by their managing staff that only employees are required to wear masks, they are not requiring clients to do so because they do not want to dissatisfy their clients and lose business. Even though it is mandatory in Texas, right? It seems like HEB has its own rules. Ridiculous that people still do not see the importance of protecting others. I would like to understand why stores are not being verified. "The mask order goes into effect at 12:01 p.m. Friday. It immediately applies to all Texas counties, but counties with 20 or fewer active cases can be exempted -- if they opt-out, county judges must submit an application to be exempted to the Texas Division of Emergency Management" 7/2/2020 I am making my choice, HEB can keep their clients that do not wear masks, I can shop somewhere else. read more
