First off, I wish California gas stations were like this. We went to one of the smaller Buc-ee's, but their selection of gas station snacks were still amazing! Additionally, I loved how their fountain soda was SO cheap! It's very true that everything is bigger in Texas. Highly recommend Buc-ee's for a fun place to stop if you're a tourist! I'd even visit here if I wasn't a tourist! :)

This specific location was smaller than I thought. It had just about everything that made Buc-ee's social media famous though. Very very clean inside. Very organized. The gas price is cheaper than its competitor which is nice and it doesn't do that "cash price" "credit price" garbage either. I hate that! One price for gas and that's it. This store is super clean and they have their deli area up and running super early. My absolute favorite thing is the hatch chili sausage kolache. It's sooooooo good and always hot and freshly made. I also like their hand dipped peppermint snaps. They have little pieces of peppermint candy and white chocolate, They're perfect. I did not like the whoopie pie with peppermint, though. Definitely pass on those. Another reason I love this place is because of coffee! They have dark roast, house blend, pecan blend! And decaf, I don't even know why decaf exists, but they have it just in case people actually drink it. They also have cappuccino machines which Mexican hot chocolate, which is my favorite! They have a ton of flavorings as well, like half and half, vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, oh and they come in the sugar free variety too.

I walked inside only to be told that their only restroom was outside connected to their car wash. It was filthy. Toilet was FULL . Thank God for strong quads, ladies you know what I mean. My feet stuck to the floor with each step & they do not even bother with soap in here. The water barely came out of the faucet so thankfully I carry hand sanitizer & wipes. When my husband was pumping gas, a gargantuan man approached him asking for money. Moral of the story. Unless you are running on fumes... avoid this gas station. It's definitely the LAST place you want to get gas at night when it's not even safe or decent to use during the day. You may get more than you bargained for & you might not leave here with everything you arrived with. The majority of my reviews are good but this place was definitely worth me getting this review written. To this nightmare station... It's a popular stop for affordable gas, iconic Texan brisket, and cute beaver merch. I appreciated the vast selection of snacks and treats. Between the fudge, tortilla factory, dried meats, and sandwich options I was rolling home! The beaver nuts didn't appeal to me, but they're a popular option! I tried the beaver chips, chicken tenders, and ordered a few different brisket sandwiches. Everything was PHENOMENAL! This is NOT gas station food, it's good ole' fashion Texan cuisine. Oh, and don't forget to grab a drink by the fountain dispenser. They're similar to a big gulp from 7-Eleven but not as diluted. I felt like a child again, I was so happy exploring this store after a long drive. The beaver plushies on the pick-up truck display are adorable. I was a total consumer during my visit. I bought a branded jersey, hat, pressed pennies, a tote, stickers, and magnets! All items had the iconic beaver face on them! If you're looking for wagons, fishing supplies (including bait), cowboy hats, kitchen utensils, and clothing, this store has you covered! It's such a convenient stop, as you can literally buy just about anything here. It's part market, part retail, part rest stop. My experience at the gas pump was easy, I didn't break the bank and parking was accessible. The restrooms are HEAVENLY! Super clean, and each stall has a red/green light to alert you as to which toilets are available. I spotted a staff member stationed in the men's restroom, ready to sanitize. The floor was shiny, not a spot to be seen anywhere. They even had tees and poo-poo spray near the restroom entrances! I had a nice exchange with a cashier girl who helped me get some change for the souvenir penny machines. My other interaction with a different cashier (near the smaller entrance) was a bit awkward. I accidentally left a small box of beaver chips in my cart after paying for the rest of my items and she acted like I was purposefully going to rob the joint. I hadn't even left the building! It was a genuine mistake, she didn't have to be so obnoxious. Overall, I had an A- experience. I'd definitely come back and stuff my face in the parking lot again. Eclectic country environments and zany mascot marketing are guilty pleasures of mine.

I have to coyly admit,I'm a fan! Not just because of the cavernous wonderland that holds everything you need for your automobile tour of the highway. JR's Express while on my way to the Hobby Airport Rental Center…read more I rarely take the fuel option at National Rental Car being the cost to fuel is not a real bargain unless you bring the car back empty since the option requires buying a full tank. This station appears to be well maintained and more competitive that stations closer to Hobby. If there are any negatives in regards to fueling here while traveling to the airport it's the entrance which is on the opposite side of the boulevard and a U-turn is required to access it and exiting requires you to transverse a normally busy two lane road. I didn't interact with any of the employees here but it was a pretty busy place during my visit so it seems they have a loyal clientele...
