The pump never shut off and gas spilled all over the ground. Gas was everywhere. The total was $53.06. The owner refused to reimburse me for the wasted gas that flooded the ground due to his malfunctioning pump. What a poor decision on his part to lose such a loyal customer. I will tell everyone that I can about my awful experience at this Chevron in Pearland, TX.

This place is on my way back to the house via the back roads, avoiding the construction traffic. The lady at the register here was friendlier... yet, still not super friendly but better than the grump at the other location. Main reason we stop at Circle K over other gas stations... I LOVE that their "Icees" (named Frosters here) are only .99 each!! Some gas stations have these icy treats for $2+ and it adds up when you have multiple kids. This place has 8-10 flavors vs some of the smaller Circle Ks that only offer 4. It seems like there are always 1-2 or even 3 flavors that are out of order or can't be used but when so many are offered, it doesn't seem to matter as much. I have to taste test (to make sure my kid's aren't being poisoned -wink wink- and the blue raspberry is my favorite.) Didn't really check out much of the other stuff here.

It's lost really right off Broadway street, right around the corner to us on the west side of Pearland/Shadow Creek Ranch/Southern Trails. Squeaky clean and new, so much variety of typical gas station drinks and snacks AND 3 major restaurant chains in this gas station: Charlie's Philly Steaks, Cinnabon and Sonic! I'm not going to lie, our first born child is probably made of about 70% cinnamon rolls. BONUS, There are a good number of pumps at this gas station as well. Highly recommend! And love that we can avoid the Broadway traffic to fill up here! And maybe grab a cinnamon roll or two on occasion.

The problem is they have not been stocked for about a month or so, neither has the close runner up of UTZ brand. All I get is next week and it has been weeks. I haven't given up yet, so we will see what happens next week. However, with the rise in fuel cost be sure to fuel up more frequently than normal, of course it want change the cost of refueling however it will take a little of the bite away and make it more like a sting. This Circle K is always a solid gas station option…read more I've previously gone to the gas station across the street (the one adjoined to Stomps) until I realized they charge more for using your card vs cash. (For instance, if they advertise $2.55/gallon, that's the cash price. The credit price is about .10 more making it $2.65/gallon. With Circle K, the price advertised on their sign is the price you pay... even if you use your card. Since gas prices keep going up (thanks to Sleepy Joe), I appreciate the savings where I can get it. We have gone inside this Circle K in the past. If I remember correctly, they have cheap fountain drinks (something like .79 for a big foam cup). Once our kid accidentally spilled the entire thing while climbing into our vehicle and the kindest worker at the register allowed us to get a new one. It's been awhile since we've run inside so I can't comment more.

I was also interested in the availability of gas as this place was shown on the news for continually running pumps (and totals due) even after the pump was shut off and consumers had completed their fueling process. The news visited at least 2 times, and both of which the specific pump was still operable. As I entered the parking lot, it was clear that ALL pumps were out of service. However, the parking lot near the store part was still quite full. As I approached the door, there was a sign that warned customers that only cash was being accepted. As I asked the "gentleman" behind the counter for the particular scratch-off that I wanted, he rolled his beastly ass up from the floor, wearing his brightly colored vest, spit his tobacco juice into an old used soda bottle, squinted his eye at me, and just stood there looking at me. I politely asked again. He then made it clear that he was offended by the fact that I thought he worked there. I gave myself a 2-second check of my surroundings, apologized for the confusion as he was the only person behind the counter, suggested he find some sort of employment that causes him to present himself in a more becoming manner, and waited for the true clerk to emerge. As I waited, I also noticed that the only other customer in the store was another man, who had clearly just left the beach and was planning for more beer and snack. As he piled his goods on the counter and returned to the shopping area for more, I made the same request to the "real" clerk who emerged from the back, on his cellular phone, seeming cursing and clearly fussing, all while not ending his phone call in any sort of a hurry. Such was a clear indication that he was not expecting too many customers...As I made my request, he quickly said: oh, I can't sell any of those. As I pulled away, I realized the vehicles in the parking lot were present for the same thing: to repair or remedy the problem with the gas pumps. Either way, I won't be returning anytime soon as it also became clear that this place probably shouldn't be open, is only taking cash to avoid precautions put in place to protect consumers, is clearly avoiding the GOVERNMENT, and probably knows nothing of taxes. Deuces...

The interior appeared new and clean. There was an area for hot food in addition to the typical gas station fare of cold cooler beverages and carby snacks. I even believe I saw a "beer cave." The price was alright... I wouldn't stop regularly but an occasional treat won't break the bank. The 16oz size was like $2 and the 24oz was like $2.89 (I think.) Total came to $7.30. The only real negative was the cashier. Upon leaving, it's mind boggling to me how a 7 year-old can notice and say, "Boy, she wasn't very friendly, was she?" Hahaha. Omg! Yes!!! She was NOT friendly indeed. I'm glad someone else picked up on that. Maybe her face would have broken if she tried to smile. Who knows. Didn't feel like it caused a huge drop in rating nonetheless.
