I have been wanting to visit Buc-ee's for the longest time, and when me and my friend planned a trip to Houston, it was the first place we added to our itinerary! Going into it, we had watched many tiktoks with recommendations of what to try such as the Beaver Nuggets, brisket sandwiches, and beef jerky, but we ended up with so much more! First off, I wish California gas stations were like this. We went to one of the smaller Buc-ee's, but their selection of gas station snacks were still amazing! Additionally, I loved how their fountain soda was SO cheap! It's very true that everything is bigger in Texas. Highly recommend Buc-ee's for a fun place to stop if you're a tourist! ALWAYS a good time, NEVER disappointed. Like many others, I have an odd love for this gas station and make a point to stop by every time I find myself in Texas. On this last visit I grabbed a Birthday Cake Whoopie pie (phenomenal, fluffy vanilla cake sandwiching creamy, heavenly sweet crème) and a famous Chopped Brisket Sandwich (equally as phenomenal). In Texas for work, I asked people what is a must go place for Texas experience and I was told Buc-ee's is the place to go. I went to the closet one from where I was working, the place was pretty big, I am from PA where they have Wawa so this is the equivalent of that but way better in every way, well what I mean by way better is they have better selection, the food is obviously better because it have Texas bbq food and just way more selection, the bathroom is cleaner. This book was very small. It was not very organized. There were lines of people and when the cashiers came, they didn't take the next person. They just started grabbing people. I didn't like that so I was waiting in line next I didn't get served until the fourth person. The sandwich I got I thought it was fresh. I don't think I would be going back to this Buckys. read more

When in Texas, one must experience Buc-ee's and all that it offers. I've been to one in Austin (which had about 80+ gas pumps. Crazy!) but this was my first Buc-ee's experience in Houston. I want to remind y'all that this chain offers whatever you need during a stop from off the road. From snacks to hot food to drinks to gas to desserts, it's a one stop shop. This location has really friendly team members so stop by this shop which I may add is open 24/7, and pick up something necessary. P.S. The gas station was pretty crowded. The store inside was spacious though. The registers are at the center, directly in front of the entrance. There is a wall full of snacks to the right of the entrance. To the left, there were so many Buc-ee's-themed souvenirs, like hats, tumblers, keychains. I think going to the full size Buc-ee's locations in Baytown and Texas City has permanently shaped my perception of this business in a positive way. However, it would be an understatement to say visiting smaller Buc-ee's like the Katy and Pearland locations has proven to be disappointing in some respects. The selection at Pearland is extremely limited in the sense that so much merchandise and even food options are just missing. Normally, I can find merch of some kind at a legit Buc-ee's, but all I could find was lip balm, which is really good (and cheap), but not exactly what I was hoping for merch-wise when I walked in. The cold drink station was actually good, and I selected mango and added pineapple to top it off. The chopped brisket sandwich was decent, but the sauce is a tad too sweet and there were no pickles or onions on the sandwich. We thought something was off about the cashiers, but maybe they were exhausted after dealing with customers on a holiday. Employees at other larger Buc-ee's locations were so much friendlier, however. Tbh, I would only stop at this particular Buc-ee's again to get a beverage or gas for the vehicle. read more

Wow. I've never been more interested in a gas station! This spot has amazing, local things such as jerky, candied nuts, and infamous beaver nuggets. Their jerky is excellent - moist, chewy, and comes in a variety of unique flavors. The candied nuts are one of my favorite. Imagine the best cashews coated in brown sugar. So delicious and dangerous as you can easily eat a full bag. Last is their beaver nuggets. These are puffed corn snacks with different seasonings. I love Buc-ee's but this particular one is quite underwhelming compared to all the other buc-ees out there. While this location is more of a suburb one, this isn't what we all have come to know and love buc-ee's for. Buc-ee's is know for their clean and abundant restrooms. While clean, they only got 6 urinals and 2 toilets. Come on, even for a regular convenience store, that's kind of sad. Not only that, their selection of foods are a lot less compared to other Buc-ee's. There is not Dairy/Eggs fridge and BBQ options are so limited. Given the opportunity to patronize at any of their thousands of locations, I do not hesitate! My family and I were in Pearland for my aunt's burial. We were hungry and needed a quick bite to eat after the long funeral and burial services. Due to our sullen and mournful mood, we didn't want to stop at any restaurants to eat. We just wanted something quick, hot, and delicious to hit the spot. We were all needing to use the restroom as well after leaving the cemetery so I searched for nearby gas stations on Yelp! The first one to pop up was Buc-ee's! When I told my family, they were all in agreement with Buc-ee's! Buc-ee's have all of the necessary essentials for us human beings when traveling. There's hot food, gas, personal hygiene items, snacks, clothes, gift items, home decor, kitchen items, a deli section, sweets for the sweet tooth, assorted drinks, slushies, and more! The customer service at this location was outstanding! We were greeted by welcoming and friendly staff upon entering. The store was extremely clean and well kept. The ladies restroom was actually clean as well. A+! The only complaint I have is that it's difficult for me to decide on what I'm going to eat anytime I'm at Buc-ee's. Everything looks delicious and smells absolutely scrumptious! My favorite item is the sliced beef sandwich but this location only had chopped beef. I'm not a fan of chopped beef so I decided on the chicken strips with fries. I wish I would have taken a picture because they were super huge and meaty! There was more meat than thick crusty batter. I gave my son my fries because I'm not really a French Fry lover. He said they were delicious along with the chopped beef sandwich that he ordered. My daughter ordered two chili dogs with onions and cheese and she was highly satisfied with them. My sister had the chicken strips with fries like me, and she enjoyed her food as well! They cooked our food as we ordered it, so there was a bit of a wait time, but it was well worth it. The food was hot and fresh. Oh and I forgot about the slushies! You can't visit Buc-ee's without leaving with a good 'ol slushy! I mixed mine with cherry and coke flavors! I was in Slushy Heaven as I slurped it ever so gently, savoring the sugary flavors, because I only drink a slushy "every once blue moon." So yeah, I enjoyed it thoroughly! Overall, this was a highly satisfying experience. I gave them five stars for their immaculate customer service, cleanliness, and delicious hot fast food! This was the 3rd and final Buc-ee's stop I made while in the Houston area for a short business/pleasure trip. It's right off the 288 freeway, across the street from HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland. I like to call it a "Baby Buc-ee's" because if you're familiar with the "regular" ones off the big freeways, you'll know how much smaller it is at this location. My review on the big Buc-ee's is coming soon... I stopped here to grab more Buc-ee's themed items to give to people back home who wanted things specifically from TX. BOOM!!! Can't get any more Texan than these beaver-themed stores, lol!! This particular one is right off the fwy in Pearland, a suburb in the Houston area. I was going to gas up at Costco like I normally do, but time wasn't on my side so I decided to kill 3 birds with 1 stone. Gas up, use the potty and get more Buc-ee's goodies including a brisket sandwich. I don't think I can get one back home at a gas station...but if I could, it probably wouldn't be anywhere near as tasty as the ones here! Handled my biz and was omw back to return my rental. I'll admit I was sad just driving away from Buc-ee's, but definitely looking forward to my next trip. That famous bucktooth beaver smile had me the very first time I drove right past one on one of the interstates! These rest stops/gas stations are always clean and fully stocked. You can grab anything and everything from snacks to souvenirs and they have kolaches here too!! If you're from Hawaii like me, the best way I can describe a kolache is ... it's a manapua, okay?! Lol Different ones, sweet and savory, best when eaten fresh and warm! If you see a Buc-ee's as you're driving by, stop in and check it out. It's almost a guarantee that you won't find a cleaner rest stop. The self serve drinks are dirt cheap and they always have snack food ready to go for your convenience. This place is good for a normal gas station but I consider this place a real buccees . It's more like a great value buccees. Everything is less. The place is real tiny (compared to a real buccees) the food options are less everything is lesser. The food isn't as fresh. The brisket sandwich didn't taste fresh . None of the food tasted that fresh it tasted like it was sitting underneath the light bulb for hours and hours . But tbh if you come here for your first buccees experience that would be a sad experience knowing what I know and seen when I go to the buccees location in the way to lake Charles or San Antonio . read more

I'm not sure if it's the vibrant colors or what, but Buc-ee's is a MUST VISIT when in Houston-Texas City-Pearland areas. I first was alerted to Buc-ee's from my sister who lived in the area posr-Katrina, who knew. And since that introduction, there's been at LOVE AFFAIR!!! The friendly cashiers, inexpensive gas, low prices novelty items, cleanliness of the store, vast selection of trinkets etc it all adds to the appeal. After driving past numerous locations, we finally visited our first Buc-ee's! Now, my "gas station heart" always belongs to SHEETZ (a gas station in the mid-Atlantic)... BUT, Buc-ee's is a close second. Originally we stopped in to grab fountain drinks only. Prices are unbeatable .59 for a medium (20oz), .69 for a large (32oz), .79 for an x-large (44oz). We have been back NUMEROUS times for drinks. (Wish they offered more sugar-free options. An approximation is 3g of sugar per 1oz of soda... 20oz=60g or 14 tsp of sugar, 32oz= 96g or 24 tsp of sugar, 44oz= 132g or a whopping 33 tsp of sugar. We don't let our kiddos drink all that sugar so our options are limited). Other than drinks, Buc-ee's has some pretty cool Buc-ee's brand snacks and items. Buc-ee's chips, candy, jelly, pickled eggs... yeah lots of items. This is in addition to the normal brands of chips, candy, snacks, etc. There is also a kiosk for made to order foods: burgers, chicken fingers, etc. We haven't tried any of the MTO options. Ice: ice is so reasonable here!!! .99 for small ice (I believe 8lbs) and $1.59 for large ice (I believe 20lbs). Onto gas... most Buc-ee's locations have TONS of gas pumps. (Well, at least more than the average gas station). This can be a curse or a blessing depending on when you want to gas up. Came before a Hurricane and what a clusterf*ck... cars everywhere.
