Recently went and it was nice inside but I was being followed around, which sucks. It was my first time there so I really wanted to take my time looking around at everything. I had no intentions of running out of the store with anything. Hopefully if I comeback it's a different experience. I did get some of their hot food which was pretty good.

Growing up, my skills for cooking filipino food has enhanced tremendously so I figured I'd cook it myself.. After taking my pup home I thought, 'I doubt that little filipino grocery store near my house is still open.. but it wouldn't hurt to check.' ... and BAM! It's OPEN til 8pm! Yah, baby. Thas' what I'm tawn' bout. This mini grocery store has almost all the shelved groceries (no produce) I need to make a home cooked dish. Pancit bihon and canton noodles, eggroll wrappers, the BIG rice sacks, the "real" filipino corned beef (not to be confused with Libby), pan de sal, pan de coco, otap, preseasonings for lazy days, siopao, etc! Best of all, they have "My Shalden" air freshners for my car! Besides the front room of groceries (the store is super cramped), just DON'T forget the back door.. Through there, you'll find more aisles of canned goods and most importantly, different types of soy sauces and vinegars. Also, open up the 3 freezers.. frozen packaged bangus and other pre-cooked dried fish, chicken and pork longanisa, chicken and pork tocino.. etc etc etc! I seriously feel like a kid in a candy store. Atbp saves me time and gas money as oppose to driving out to an asian store way out on Bellaire and wasting time trying to distinguish the difference between chinese, vietnamese, and filipino products.. not that it matters, but sometimes I want to find a true filipino product without hassle. By the way, my dish came out perrrfect, as always ;) Pancit craving satisfied but now I'm craving arroz caldo! Maraming salamat, Atbp! (meaning: Thank you very much, Atbp!)

I was just passing through downtown Houston when I was looking for a quick snack, and I stumbled…read moreupon this supermarket. what a surprise! The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

Perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior. The sweet potato fries were equally delicious. I got the Hill Country salad. Same tender but crispy chicken on a bed of greens with berries. So good. Definitely bookmarked as a return option.

Recommend parking in the back parking lot as the front is usually always packed. We love getting the fruit from here, the juices, the cheese for a charcuterie board, and then of course all the frozen meals. Personal favorites are the jambalaya, a new item they had today was Detroit style pizza, another new item was Korean kimchi potstickers, the spaghetti, the pad Thai, and the list goes on. Also, the flowers were beautiful today, especially the roses that are multicolored and look like a sunset (red and yellow gradient/mix). The cards here are also super cute and quirky, and the wine selection is also 10/10. The chocolate selection while you walk down the checkout aisle is also something you can't forget to look at!

Subject: Complaint Regarding Inconsistent Treatment During Tote Bag Purchase at Trader Joe's…read moreAlabama Theatre I arrived at 7:15 AM and waited over 30 minutes in line for the recent tote bag release. After making a purchase, my mother who had just traveled internationally for nearly 24 hours to visit me wanted to buy another bag as a gift for friends back home. We waited in line again, but the cashier refused the sale because they recognized us from our earlier purchase. However, we saw other customers rejoin the line and purchase additional bags without issue. There were no signs explaining this policy, and it appeared to be enforced only against us. As Asian customers, this left us feeling singled out and questioning whether discrimination played a role in how we were treated. What made the experience even more upsetting was the way we were spoken to. The employee's attitude felt rude and accusatory, as if we were doing something wrong or trying to steal, when we had simply followed the same process as other customers and spent a significant amount of money in the store. We left feeling embarrassed, upset, and unwelcome. I would appreciate an explanation as to why the policy was applied differently to us than to other customers.
