In order to make home, I decided to stop by to get a full tank. The price of gas was very comparable to other gas stations nearby and same as the other Shell station at Fondren and feeder road (a block away). Since the gas pumps are newer than most pumps, operating it was fairly smooth. Except for the Kroger Rewards feature, I had trouble entering my number. Oh well. I'll use it next time.

It's a shiny new gas station with cool bathrooms and it's exactly what we needed in this area right on the way from Chinatown to downtown. Excellent positioning for a gas station, and the only reason it doesn't get five stars is because the employee is a little bit overbearing with his staring at people in the parking lot to make sure they're not doing anything weird. The convenience store is not bad and the gas prices are usually pretty decent. All in all, it gets the job done, sort of like hiring a gigolo who is cheap and cheerful but nothing special. Like other Valeros and Circle Ks - it's usually average priced, and there's a decent convenience store you can get water in - so what else, perchance, shalt you need. This is a handy and friendly little gas station with pretty average convenience store prices, and pretty average gas prices, sometimes cheaper than average. The only reason I took them down from five stars after being really friendly with us is that they've been closing their bathroom a lot lately, which Barbi hasn't appreciated at all. As for the gas, this is a wonderful Exxon station which we've been to on many occasions, and they're very friendly and they have some decent products, and the convenience store is good, even though they're obviously overpriced. One of the best things about them is that they have a fairly clean bathroom that's usually open, but lately it hasn't been open, and they've been locking it, and that wasn't for Coronavirus, only literally the last month, which is kind of annoying. Hopefully they'll fix that in the near future because to say I'm not a fan would be a massive understatement. They'd get 5 stars if the ban yo became available again.
