Saw this place and instantly wanted a bagel. Unfortunately I was not that pleased with the bagel as I am from NJ and the bagels in PA are just not the same. The bagel did not seem fresh and it took forever to get it. The bagel was dry and chewy. The place seemed a bit outdated and was in an antiquated strip mall. It may be ok if that's the only bagel shop around but if there's another I would try them first. read more

Sam's bagel never fails when I'm in the area near Nazareth. Whenever I'm craving bagels, this is the spot I go to. Albeit, I stumbled upon it because I was craving bagels (I'm from NYC), so this place popped up first on Yelp. It's in a strip mall area type of place, so finding it was straightforward. When we got there we ordered a whole bunch of stuff (but I'll only post the breakfast sandwiches). Ordered a sausage egg and cheese and a bacon egg and cheese on their everything bagels. Overall - like I said really good bagels. Be mindful though! Timing is everything. They WILL run out of everything bagels, as they should since it's like the most sought out bagel. Their blueberry cream cheese is also really good. I've also tried their lox bagel, which isn't bad but isn't out of this world either. Sam's bagel has been the place I drive to, well over 15-20 minutes, so I just have to time it better to make sure they still have everything bagels when I get there! The bagels are good, but every single time we get a breakfast sandwich the bacon is just above raw (very "squishy" and slimy), even when we order it well done, who cares.... It almost seems to come even more undercooked when we ask for it well done. We don't even want it "well done" by normal standards - want it cooked pretty much the same way you get bacon at any other establishment that serves food - this isn't an odd request. We go to Wawa, McDonald's, or any other place for breakfast and never even think about it - we aren't that picky really. read more

My rating is based on the plain, everything and sesame bagels. They are probably the best in the area. If you go early in the morning, you can get them almost right out of oven. They are closer to those at NYC. I usually buy them, take them home and split my toppings the way I want. read more

I used to live in forks township and I can home to visit my parents for the summer. Forks didn't have much in it when I was growing up, now it has a ton of great additions! I would consider Sam's bagel to be one of those great add-ons! I walked in on a Monday morning to order a breakfast sandwich. There was no line and I was helped extremely quickly by a young friendly girl. The inside is great and offers a lot of seating. There is also outdoor seating available. Besides bagels they have breakfast, and lunch items. You can even get your deli meat from boars head while you're in here. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and it was delicious! It only took about 5 minutes for it to be done! The choices of bagel flavors have a lot of variety, I chose everything. Forks never had a bagel shop before so this is definitely great to be close to now! Will for sure be back again! read more

When my son and I walked in there were 2 people waiting on their orders and no one in line. Ordered 2 toasted bagels w cream cheese. After watching the line for to go orders (including hot bagel bfast sand) switch over TWICE in the 30 minutes we waited, I got up and asked about our order. The young lady didnt even have to slip that I handed to the guy when we paid. She the n proceeded to ask what our order was three times. After about 5 mins our bagels were sat in front of us without so much as a "Sorry about that." Nope. Sat them down and walked away. As a side not $2 for a 20oz Gatorade and $2 for a 20oz bottle of coke..WAY TOO MUCH! We won't be back anymore. I'm only rating the bagels for takeout and the service, I didn't order any sandwiches or soup, just a bakers dozen of bagels. I was there on Wednesday afternoon. The bagels are huge and tasty. I toasted a jalapeño one at home and had it with butter. Outside crispy and inside airy. Bad bagels are chewy and dense, but these are perfect. The lady that helped us was friendly and patient and helpful. Very pleasant experience. Just a comment on the negative reviews; I think that a lot of people feel empowered by Yelp and want everyone to bow before them. They need to get over themselves. I've worked in retail and am sympathetic to what they put up with. The people at Sam's Bagels seem to be doing a good job making great bagels. Go in and grab a dozen. read more

Husband normally stops by after working overnight to grab breakfast for him and I. But $24.02 for 2 platters, 1 being 2 eggs scrambled with bacon and home fries and the other a western omelette, 1 12 oz. can of red bull and a chocolate milk, seems a little ridiculously expensive!! Not to mention that it seems every week the price goes up, even though the items dont change. Normally the food is pretty good, the bacon is real bacon and not see through thin and the home fries are really awesome, but only when they remember to actually add them to the order and that brings me to the scrambled eggs from this morning, there was sooooo much pepper in them that it actually changed the color of the eggs from yellow to an almost grey color! Completely inedible!! Sorry I like my eggs with MAYBE a very small pinch of pepper and not pepper with some grey eggs! I would rather spend my money at the mom and pop shops rather than the chains or franchises. Please fix your pricing scale to make it more consistent and only sprinkle spice into the food instead of dumping it in!! read more

I think Sam's has very good bagels. Have been here several times and never disappointed. I dont know why anyone would get bagels from the nearby grocery stores in Forks. Take the time and stop here instead. I always get a dozen and freeze half because they will start getting stale after couple days. Go early. They do sell out quickly with popular flavors. read more

Ordered 3 pork roll and cheese sandwiches and there was barely enough meat for one. When you are paying 5.99 per sandwich, this is a joke. The woman ringing people up had a mask under her chin; how effective. I went back today and gave them another chance. First time in this establishment and I had high hopes when I saw the line waiting to order. When I said to the cashier, who may have been an owner as well, "how are you, looks like it's very busy, congratulations!" She retorted with, "it's crazy", which came across as complaining. When I told her as a fellow business owner to be worried when it is not busy, I did not exactly get a friendly look back...LOL As for the bagel, I ordered an egg bagel with vegetable cream cheese. The bagel was doughy and the vegetable cream cheese was not spread evenly and in fact there was none on certain parts of the bagel. I think in their quest to serve people quickly, they were rushing too much and quality control went right out the window. I regularly patronize 3 Men and a Bagel and Johnny's in Bethlehem, and I will continue to do so, even if I am in the Easton area as the quality is that much better at the aforementioned places. read more

The bagels and cream cheese aren't bad to me but the shorter older woman who works at the register is one of the most unfriendly people I've met here. I guess I can say it feels like home but if I wanted rude service I'd go back to NY. She needs to be working in the back and not at the register because every time I go in there she's nasty. I just had one of the worst customer experiences here. I placed an order over the phone for breakfast for my family. When I arrive to get there the woman at the counter wasn't even going to tell me that she "gave away" my wrap to another woman with my name. So instead of making another wrap, she tells me that it would take 30 mins to make a wrap that was their fault they gave away. No help from the owner. No help from the cashier. Nothing. Was excited to see a fresh bagel place a few blocks from home. Purchased a few dozen bagels over the last month to see what I enjoyed the most. I have to say the people working there are not customer oriented and most of the bagels are average. They advertise several kinds of bagels, but never have them all available.
