I was craving caffeine bad. A friend of mine told me to try the bagel spot. It was packed but that line moved like no other. We grabbed our bagels and coffee and were even able to snag a small table in the corner. The coffee was pretty straightforward. It's self serve and as far as I know all the containers were full and hot. It definitely got the job done. The bagel was a little crunchier than I would have liked but it was good nonetheless. I have been coming here almost every Saturday and Sunday morning for the past 3 years. Sam's has a special place in my heart and is part of my morning routine. The vibes are infectious and the bagels are impeccable. The coffee is also great. Kim is always on top of her game and whipping up the best bagel sandwiches. The customer service is top tier and you can customize your sandwiches pretty much any way imaginable. I have included only a handful of the hundred plus bagel photos that I have from here. They don't miss at Sam's!! PS: I forgot to mention they make all of their bagels fresh in house. Nice local bagel shop! They only make a certain amount of each flavor a day so if you've got your eye on a specific bagel then be sure to go earlier in the morning. Gets really busy around 10-11am. FOOD- 3.5/5 I believe I got the grilled chicken bagel or something like that. Probably wouldn't get that again, it was alright. Their bagels look fresh and constantly restocked which is great. SERVICE- 4/5 There was a huge line when I went. No big deal at all but it clearly made the workers a bit stressed (understandably so). I switched my order out before they started making it and the lady was a bit rude and she was talking in her language behind the counter but funny enough, I'm fluent in that language so I understood everything she said, but I didn't fuss about it at all, I just got my food and left. My go to spot for bagels in the Fed hill area. I love supporting small businesses, and this place is perfect. They are always busy (which just shows how good and popular they are). Make sure you come earlier in the day (especially on weekends), or they will start to run out of bagels. Bagel sandwiches are simple, but good variety of breakfast and lunch options. Turkey sausage egg and cheddar with veggie cream cheese on a jalapeño bagel is my regular order. You can also order online and pickup if you don't want to wait in line! I have been in search of a solid bagel in Baltimore for a while now! I don't love the other options here, but came across this place and wanted to check it out! Their bagels are really good! Sams has a lot of variety, and I love the jalepeno cheddar bagel especially! I'm interested in trying others like the sun dried tomato, etc in the future! The bagels are pretty affordable with an egg and cheese around $4 and a bagel with cream cheese around 2-3. Their cream cheese was good-- we tried the veggie but they have chive and artichoke which I am intrigued by! Highly recommend if you're looking for a good bagel in Baltimore! Finally tried Sam's bagels and wish I had tried this sooner! Their little shop was pretty crowded on a Sunday morning but we were able to get a table by the door. It only took a few minutes for our order to come out, and the staff was pretty friendly. I got the sundried tomato bagel with their lox spread. The bagel itself was absolutely delicious but the lox spread was more like regular cream cheese with very little lox inside. Eats: (4/5) I went for a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese with extra avocado on an everything bagel extra toasted, and it came out great. While it was no New York bagel (I've been spoiled), it definitely did the trick and they definitely don't hold back on the fillings when they made this. I've been going to Sam's Bagels for over two years after moving to the federal hill area and today I went in and ordered a bagel with egg and cheese and several toppings. I paid over $12 for all of my items and went all the way home to find that my bagel was missing the egg and cheese and only had the toppings. I called them to see what I could do before making my way back and was met with the most nasty and rude person who said "well I'm not about to look through these receipts to find you order" and "there's nothing I can really do for you." He continuously spoke to me in a condescending tone and even began to yell over me to which I asked him to stop. I straight told him he had a terrible attitude and he said "well I answered the call expecting to take a new order." I've heard good things about "Sam's Bagels" but It was just okay... Literally nothing special about it. It tasted like a bagel I could have made at home. Plus I took a peak at the kitchen and it didn't look very sanitary. I don't live in this side of the city but my normal spot "Belvedere Bagels" is closed on Sundays. Thought I'd try something different and go to Sam's. Honestly, I'll continue going to "Belvedere Bagels" in Mt. Vernon. They have better food, MUCH easier parking and it's less chaotic in that area compared to Federal Hill. Most likely won't be going back to Sam's but if you're in Federal Hill for the day and need something, I guess it'll do the trick. read more
