I agree with several who mention attitude of young server Today wearing little b/w cat hat. Her attitude stinks! She doesn't greet , even though I was only one in shoppe. Didn't ask what kind of cheese, meat or egg I wanted. She assumed I would want American cheese when I asked her don't you want to know what cheese I like? She didn't seem interested. I am extremely impressed with the vegan options at Roland Park Bagels. This was well worth the drive from Rockville, MD. I came to Roland Park Bagels to run with Plant Powered Athlete Baltimore running group. I stayed for the breakfast. Roland Park Bagels has a spacious room for ordering and dining in. They also have a good amount of tables outside for outdoor dining. I love that their menu clearly says "vegan" for all vegan items. It was so easy to navigate the menu and have no confusion when I placed my order at the register. I ordered the vegan breakfast sandwich with Just egg, vegan cheddar cheese, and I added tempeh bacon on an everything bagel. I also tried the vegan pizza bagel which comes with both halves of the bagel turned into pizzas with marinara, vegan white cheese, basil, and a balsamic drizzle. The breakfast sandwich was great and I think it needed the tempeh bacon. It would have been a little boring without the extra flavor and texture from the smoky and meaty tempeh. The bagel was a little softer than I like. It did work well in the context of a breakfast sandwich though as it was easy to bite into. The pizza bagel was truly a standout for me. I loved the amount of basil added to the bagel. Basil is one of my favorite herbs and they did not hold back on fresh basil. I also live the marinara sauce they used. It tastes so fresh, not sugary, and not acidic. It was just right. The vegan cheese was nicely melted which is really hard to do. I would definitely road trip to Baltimore again just to enjoy this pizza bagel another time. Thanks Roland Park Bagels for the great vegan options! Roland park + bagels = Roland park bagels. This little cafe is popular for bagels and located in... you guessed it, Roland Park. I ordered a toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese. It came out to about $4 including tip. The order was ready in about 5-10 minutes and wrapped securely in foil. I grabbed a seat outside on the small patio to stuff my face. Well the bagel was definitely toasted! In fact, some of the everything toppings were a bit charred. It wasn't a huge deal and still tasted very good! It was exactly what I needed on a slow morning. Got a really great turkey sandwich here. It was great for the price I paid ($12ish). It didn't take long to make. I enjoyed sitting outside at the tables. It was shady next to the building. Staff were all really friendly (even to the obnoxious entitled folks - see below), and I don't think I've had such positive interactions with restaurant staff very often. Parking can be rough around here sometimes. Don't bring a large vehicle if you don't have to. Some of the clientele fit a stereotype about Roland Park, unfortunately, like the lady who thought it was okay to bring her dog in to order, and then told the staff "well if I can't bring my dog in I won't order and I'll give you a bad review." There were a few other entitled customers I saw cut in line or and do other rude things. read more

Roland Park Bagels has a bunch of unique bagel flavors like cranberry apple and sundried tomato. I ordered a breakfast powerhouse sandwich on a sundried tomato bagel. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy when I was there on a Saturday morning, the order was ready in less than 5 minutes! Roland Park Bagels doesn't have indoor seating at the moment, so I sat on the outdoor patio. The flavor of the sundried tomato wasn't super strong, but I still really enjoyed my bagel. Coming from a restaurant server, one of the cashiers attitudes should be addressed. The first time I actually saw her, younger cashier, was a few months ago, walking in at 1:30, and she had a strange grin like she wondered "don't these people know we're not open". No greeting at all. And then I tried to order but she said "we're closed" and then said nothing else and waited for us to leave. I wasn't going to leave a review because I didn't get any food, but this time I did and the interaction was off putting still. Very short with the questions, giving the tone of hating their job, or just never being trained to be nice to people? On the other hand, there's another cashier, older woman, she's great. Um, why am I just now finding out about this place? And why are the reviews so low? As a sandwich lover who happens to be vegetarian, it can be exceptionally hard to find sandwich places that don't just offer the same boring vegetarian options. At Roland Park Bagels, they offer a vegan chicken Nashville-style sandwich, a vegan meatball sub, breakfast sandwiches with Just Egg, the Impossible burger (of course), caprese, and so many other delicious vegan/vegetarian options. I got the vegan chicken sandwich and it was delicious. It was also HUGE. If you're a person who enjoys large portions, please know that this is not an exaggeration. I could barely fit my mouth around the sandwich to take a bite. These are not complaints, just be warned. The sandwich comes with ruffled potato chips (or fries for a couple $$ extra). I also got a couple bagels (egg + everything) with the scallion cream cheese. Tried them the next morning and they were both great! Bagel wasn't 5 stars, but it did the job. RPB offers outdoor dining only. They are COVID-safe (cashier & cooks wear masks + require masking from customers) which was nice to see. Highly recommend this spot for vegans/vegetarians! read more

I stopped by Roland Park Bagels a couple of days ago for breakfast with my mom, stepdad, and mother-in-law. We picked Roland Park Bagels, because they have vegan options for my mom. Most of their bagels are vegan (the obvious ones aren't, like egg and Parm & Romano), and they also offer Tofutti cream cheese and other vegan options. My mom tried the Just Egg & Cheese with Beyond Sausage on a plain bagel - like a vegan bodega breakfast sandwich - which she liked. The rest of our group aren't vegans and tried other things on the menu. My mother-in-law got a bagel with jam, while my stepdad and I got everything bagels with cream cheese, sliced nova lox, tomato, red onion, and capers. As of June 2021, they are still not doing indoor dining due to COVID, but we enjoyed our bagels at one of the tables outside. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast, and the service was good. Parking is almost in possible to find around this place; but it was a nice day when I stopped in, so I didn't mind walking far. Ordered an iced latte and breakfast sandwich. Waited ~15 mins for a toasted poppy seed bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon. Only great thing about the sandwich was the cripsy bacon. Not sure what the wait was about, the woman even asked me what number I was as others had ordered after me and received their food. Best place to get bagels, a cup of coffee, lunch, and cookies. I like that they sell 16oz. cups of Ceremony coffee, too. They also sell bottled kombuchas and a variety of sparkling/bubbly waters. This spot offers vegan and vegetarian options - vegan cream cheeses, also sold in tubs to-go. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I like the casual ambience; on weekends it gets crowded with college students and families which makes it fun to people watch. I like this place because it caters to so many different tastes. It doesn't feel too hip, too stuffy, or stuck in a 90's sitcom café set. I like going here because it's got a little bit of everything, the staff is nice, and I run into a familiar face now and then. read more

My husband, son and I come to this place on a weekly basis. I am a self professed bagel lover and tried bagels from all over the city. This is simply the best place in town. Warm, freshly baked bagels with excellent variety. My favorite sandwich is the Parmesan bagel with egg and ham! The key difference between this place and the other place at the Belvedere market is consistency. The RPB consistently produce chewy round tasty bagels every single time while the quality of the GB swings wildly between each batch/day/ whoever is back there. RPB also has upgraded their coffee brand (yes, I noticed!) and has a small but quality bakery selection of muffins and home made pop tarts. And the staff is quite friendly as well! Love the cashier lady and the guys who come out and say hello. This is my local hangout spot with my family. We also say hello to the regulars. This place was my santuary in the hazy days in the fourth trimester of motherhood. I cannot wait till my son has more teeth and chewing prowess to share bagels with me at RPB. read more

There are signs all over the inside of the shop asking customers for patience with service because of understaffing. The food is decent, staff is professional but clearly overworked, but the layout is less than ideal. There is no designated line area for ordering, no designated waiting area once you have placed your order, and no designated area for pick-up if you called in an order or placed one online. Today this caused extreme frustration for the two people working and the handful of us waiting to receive or place orders, so much so that the workers got in to a spat and the customers were visibly uncomfortable. If you're going to allow take out, pick-up, and dine-in, please, please, please provide clear places to wait in line and wait to pick up your food. Food is great but service is horrible. My number was 125 & by the time I received my food (over 20 minutes later) order number 150 had come & gone with theirs. When I asked about my order I was told it took longer because I ordered more sandwiches. You would think I ordered 10 sandwiches; I only ordered two and one bagel with butter. Someone from the kitchen asked my number and said they were already working on it yet when he went back I heard him tell the cook to work on order 125. It's really too bad. Under new management since March 2019. Came here on a Saturday morning. Customers came in waves, but we didn't have to wait long to order and there is plenty of seating. We got the house cold brew, smoked salmon and cream cheese on an onion bagel with the works (tomatoes, onion, and capers), sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and the sun-dried tomato bagel with veggie cream cheese. Everything was delicious! The sun-dried tomato bagel was savory and so fresh tasting- definitely a new favorite! The manager said he'd probably be revamping/changing the menu in the future. I've been to Roland Park Bagels over 10 times now and have nothing but great things to say. Speedy and friendly staff with great options for breakfast, lunch, and now offering pre-order pizza for dinner. Breakfast: new Ceremony coffee is a nice plus to pair back to a great bagel selection. Lunch: I wish I could say I've tried more than the Vegan Nashville Chick'n or the powerhouse panini, but they're so good that I keep coming back for the same thing. Dinner: They've recently started serving pre-order deep dish pizza squares for dinner and they are SO GOOD! Got both the veggie and the pepperoni options two weeks ago and our house had enough for dinner plus lunch for an extra two days. Super tasty. read more

Believe it or not, mid-town Baltimore is kinda lacking with their bagel shops. So I figured I would venture up north and grab some food with a friend at Roland Park Bagel. What immediately struck me was the amount of college and probate school girls were at the shop. It makes sense though... Roland Park Bagel is in one of the nicer family areas of Baltimore, it's only a few minutes away from Loyola, and there are a million private high-schools around. So once you get past all the fake tanning, side-pony tails and sweat pants - there's a lot to enjoy here. The bagels are good! I tried a parmesan bagel with cream cheese. It was a little more dense than I was used to, but super flavorful. My friend ordered an egg and cheese on everything and was slightly disappointed. He thought other bagel shops piled the bagel high with egg and cheese - and Roland Park Bagel was kinda skimpy on the extras. But he ate the whole thing, so that says something! It was crowded the whole time we were there, but it's pretty big and has a lot of seats. We didn't have trouble grabbing one. But we did have trouble finding parking. There are a lot of really popular restaurants in the area. There's all your extras too - sandwiches, juice, muffins, coffee. Like I said... om nom nom nom. read more

Overall a huge disappointment. This shop is a lesson in form over function; snazzy looks disguise a lack of quality and customer service. Remember you're going to buy food, not for a vibe that feels good standing in line and looks good on the gram. Come here for apathetic staff, lackluster food, and watered down coffee that's more useful being pouring down the drain. I ordered a bagel with lox, cream cheese, etc etc, and my wife ordered a veggie panini. Bagel was small by "bagel place" standards, and seemed half heartedly assembled just to get it completed by someone only interested in collecting a paycheck. Veggie panini was worse though. Tiny pile of flavorless garbage squished between two heaping pieces of soggy, oil soaked bread. You could pass this review off as just being bitter and from a non-food reviewer, but it's my honest thoughts as a customer who felt gipped. Even things like "panins" being misspelled on the banner outside shows they don't even care enough to fix their signage. They know you're going to come in anyway, and could care less about the trash they serve. Not affiliated with anything in the area, I just live here and find myself going to Evergreen each weekend because they deserve your business; serving good food & coffee from a pleasant staff. This is my favorite place to go for a breakfast sandwich. I go with the egg and cheese sandwich on a sesame seed bagel, and I add a Beyond plant based sausage. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The jalapeño bagel is also really good for an egg and cheese sandwich. The service is great and efficient. Next time I want to try their lunch options like the pizza bagel and burgers.
