Sampaguita sits in a stretch of restaurants that honestly are all the pride and joy of Mills 50. This is the place you bring your bit city relatives to show them that Orlando has a competitive food scene. Sampaguita does NOT miss. You can get their traditional scooped ice cream in amazing Filipino fused flavors like my absolute favorites, soy butterscotch or banoffee; you could do their soft serve (ube vanilla swirl with ube sauce if you're nasty); you could grab baked goods or even take a milkshake to go. The line may be out the door and halfway around the block but they move through it like CHAMPs. Whatever you do, have a back up plan to eat your ice cream in your car, because sitting is limited at best.
I heard about this place from TikTok and since I was in Orlando on vacation, we decided to stop by. Located on a busy street. Parking located in the back but can get busy. We went at night closer to 6-7pm. The line was out the door but the wait wasn't too long. A lot of choices of Filipino traditional ice cream. We ordered the ube brownie sundae and halo halo. OMG!! It was so good.
Craving exotic ice cream this day. Opted for the mini cone flight. These are 5 mini cones with 1 scoop of any flavors (5) you choose. $11 I chose the Sampaguita, Ube cookie and cream, Buko pandan, Mango peach pie, Champorado. My favorite is still the Sampaguita. It has a very unique taste. Staff here are nice and helpful. The merch here are cute but quite pricey especially clothing. I love the cartoon pinay mascot.
Very fun place to stop. It's got a very neat ambiance and is a great place to meet up with friends. The food is very good. I ordered their classic Halo Halo and it was quite good, although not my personal favorite. I was not a huge fan of the flavor combinations but I know other people who loved it so I will let you be the judge of it. Their other ice cream flavors were good and quite unique, particularly the Pineapple Cake. Service was slow. I get that it is a busy place, but even then, it was slow and employees (although nice), seemed to not prioritize efficiency. A couple people left the line because of the wait. Overall, it's a fun stop. But it's expensive and some of their desserts are definitely an acquired taste. I'm sure the line is quick sometimes, but it was not for us.
Popular ice cream place with the locals - people were lining outside on a Saturday night but the line wasn't all too bad. The 5 flavors I chose for my personal ice cream flight were: ube cookies & cream (personal favorite), ube latte, champorado, mango peach pie, and coffee & biskwit. These were served with miniature sugar cones and the cutest mini scoops of ice cream.
Found this place watching Youtube Orlando food reviews and can't be more happy to have tried it. I forgot to take pictures inside and of the menu my apologies but i promise you, you can't go wrong! There might be a line but it goes quickly as the service is quick and will give samples! Parking is in the back but you can also find street parking if the lot is full!
I went on a busy Saturday, almost every table full but I was lucky to get a front table just in time. At this vistit I had three scoops in a bowl. The Sampaguita is made with Almond vanilla bean ice cream and perfumed with a hint of jasmine + lychee jellies. So flavorful and light, a unique blend of floral notes and fruit. It was so good I took a pint home! Keso Guava Cheesecake is a Mild cheddar cheesecake ice cream with scratch-made guava preserve swirl and cinnamon graham crunch. It was so rich and satisfying with the tropical guava flavors that add depth and sweetness. The last scoop is Soysauce butterscotch. Which is a brown sugar and vanilla ice cream with umami notes of soy sauce and a hint of Maldon salt. At first look this did not sound appealing! But Sampaguita lets you try four flavors, so I obliged. And what a delightful surprise! The combination of sweet and salty really brings out the flavor! If you are looking for delicious options that you won't find in the mainstream, go get yourself some ice cream! Pints are also available and I got Pineapple Cake, Milo Rocky Road, more Sampaguita. I had such a pleasant experience and I hope you do as well!
99 flavors and that ain't enough! Filipino-own ice cream parlor in the orlando-area. I never knew until this podcast mentioned their favorite ice cream places. So glad to have the opportunity to this place out. I ended up getting their halo halo special. It was very city like to me compare to how the country side would serve. BUT what took the cake was the ice flavors! Yaaaaasss!! Filipino mango, and coconut panda was sooo tasty! My group also grabbed a scope and tried the sample cones. Flavors varied from aa simple as vanilla to halohalo. They switch it up weekly! They also sell merchandise for any fans and tourist!. I shall be back!
After a lackluster dinner around the corner, stopping here was an improvement. On a Thursday night, it was moderately busy, yet not packed. Ordering was a smooth process, aided by cordial staff. My family was able to grab a table and soak up the tropically chic decor. I couldn't resist getting the Birthday Mamon since my personal holiday was the next day. I added coconut flakes which added another level of pleasing texture. The cake bits are a hidden treasure as you eat it. My kids got the Ube Brownie Sunday. Since I also added the Housemade Ube Whipped Cream to mine, we all ended up with purple lips, a badge of sweet honor. I will definitely return to try the Halo Halo and Sampaguita, the Filipino crowning jewels. This is a Yelp celebrated business for good reason. Go support this local gem!
I've always passed this place and the line seems to always be out the door . I never thought to see what they were selling but, Friday we had a ladies night out at Tori & my friend said she wanted Sampaguita. I said sure we walked over & the line and was out the door and down the sidewalk if I wasn't with my girls I would have probably aborted the mission but, we were committed so we stayed & im sooooo happy we did ! I was struggling to pronounce Sampaguita and a nice guy helped me pronounce it and gave us some history on the name of the restaurant. Once inside the ambiance is busy but its ice cream so the wait time wasn't long. The service was Amazing. Once you're inside you can sample any flavors before you're decide. I ordered 1 scoop of Keso Guava Cheesecake (KEH-so) on a waffle cone. I saw immediately why the line is always long the ice cream was delicious! It was so delicious I came back the next day and ordered 1 scoop of the Ube Cookies 'N Cream (OO-beh or OO-bee) & my husband got the Mango Peach Pie. I would def recommend this spot . I plan on coming back to try other items.
Oh my goodness what a gem on mills! Pros; open late! A++ date spot or late night pop in. Vegan / nondairy / unique options abound. So many choices! Amazingly comfortable seating for intimate small groups, solo time, or a big friendly get together. So baby friendly! Super clean environment. I loved being here. They had oat milk soft serve in ube, vanilla or swirl, alongside their dairy options. Amazing flavor choices from the case as well. I was seriously tempted by the banoffee. I did try their incredibly generously sized ube brownie and was surprised by his tender it was. Also A++ on the cute merch. Cons; parking in mills is tricky, and the lot behind fills up fast. Expect to spend some time finding a spot. Will be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to try this adorable little ice cream shop. It's such a cute and inviting space and the ice cream is unique and delicious! They allow each person four samples of ice cream, and what's cool is that with each one you get, they give you a neat little description about what you're tasting. Between my son and I we tried: Soy sauce butterscotch Ube cookies and cream Birthday Mamon Guava cheesecake Sampaguita (floral with almond notes) My three year old ordered the birthday mamon in a waffle cone (which she was making fresh there). He absolutely loved it. I enjoyed the flavor as well. I also ordered myself a small cup with one scoop of the Ube cookies and cream and one scoop of the soy sauce butterscotch (who would ever think of adding soy sauce to ice cream!) Both of them were super creamy and super delicious! I especially loved the Ube. Even the samples I tried were delicious and it was hard to choose, so I want to come back and try other flavors next time. Parking can be a bit difficult because it's right on the main strip of colonial, but luckily I found a spot right out front. The customer service was great as well! All in all I'm so glad I got to try this place and will definitely be back.

The cutest shop ever! Super friendly service and the flavors were very fun. Tons of seating. Got the soy sauce butterscotch and it was rich and creamy. The halo halo is pretty solid and they use soft serve instead of ice cream. Could go with more toppings but it was only $10. read more
The iconic Asian ice cream spot on E Colonial! I love all the flavors and the workers behind the counter are always so nice. It is a long and narrow shop that is always busy because Sampaguita is so delicious so be prepared to search around for a table or to stand. Limited parking is available behind the plaza, entering through to the back door of Sampaguita. Parallel parking also available on the streets. read more
I'd definitely will be diagnosed with that diabeetus if I lived in Orlando. I'm always on the hunt for pandan (plant that is used in mostly SE Asian dish that taste like light vanilla/coconut) flavored anything that we rarely see in the United States. When I saw this was one of the flavors, I definitely had to get. It was enjoyable! Only ordered a single scoop on a full stomach and that's about $5, which is pricey but it is what it is. They have a lot of flavors of the SE, which is great! Simple and easy service. Definitely recommend and come back again on the next Orlando visit! read more
It's such a cute ice cream spot! The flavors were nostalgic for me! I enjoyed their Milo Rocky Road. I'm sad I live so far from it but at least it's not across the country LOL The customer service was warm and inviting. I look forward to coming back and trying their halo halo. Side note: my kids loved their stickers! My only critique is I wish the seating area had bigger/longer tables large families because you know us Filipinos don't usually come in small groups LoL maybe manifesting an expansion? ;) I look forward to coming back! read more

I went here with my cousin over the weekend and it's such a cute place. I loved the vibe and the decor. It was very busy but they moved through the line of patrons efficiently. From Soysauce Butterscotch to Keso Guava Cheesecake, you're going to have a bunch of interesting sounding options and everything tastes great. Staff were very friendly and offered to let us try multiple flavors before we figured out what our best dessert match was. I bring everyone here whenever we're nearby. Love the service to the decor and to the flavors. You simply can't go wrong with their choices. My go to flavor is the Ube Latte. Luckly and unfortunately this place isn't super close to me as I think I would be made out of Ube Latte. I don't think having a big group is great to sit in. However it is definitely a good last stop for a date night. Highly recommend!! I'm half Malaysian and half Filipino so the fact that this is also conveniently right next door to Mamak makes make heart so full. read more
I beg of you to please open a location in Arizona because this was absolutely incredible! A pinoy-inspired menu is always the best and if it's DESSERTS, I'm on board! The interior of this place was absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful Sampaguita sign on the outside and inside! They have various flavors for the ice cream, cakes, and cookies. I ordered a double scoop of the birthday mamon cake (a traditional pinoy sponge cake) and the sampaguita (a nice almond base). That was the perfect combo! My niece let me try their halo-halo, which was a 10/10! The service was absolutely great, too, as they offered us waters while we were munching down. I did have their adobo chocolate chip cookie and we were all trying to pin-point the adobo flavor. I just need to come back again and try it (lol) I highly recommend! read more
Been wanting to come here since they opened and o finally made time. Sampaguita is a Filipino inspired ice cream shop with so many unique flavors to try. The guy behind the counter walked me through a few of them and let me try samples. I went with their namesake "sampaguita" flavor, which has a nice almond and rice milk flavor. Very mild and creamy. I can't wait to come back and try some other flavors! They also have a decent amount of seating and weren't too busy during the middle of the day, so I think you could work from here on your laptop quite easily. read more
Came on a Friday night an hour before closing, the place was packed! They have seating in a small area in the front of the shop by the register and all down a small hall that leads to the back towards the bathrooms and a back door that leads to a parking area. I tried the Ube cookies and cream one scoop on a waffle cone. It was sooo good. Kevin got a small cup of rocky road, he enjoyed it. The total cost for both was $12. You order your ice cream, they give you a number, and you wait for it at a table. A girl was walking around offering small cups of water, that was a nice touch. The place is decorated very nicely, even the bathroom. They have different flavors like soy sauce and traditional flavors too. I can't wait to come back and have more! read more

One of the best dessert spots in Orlando, especially if you like trying new flavors! I decided to go for the halo halo with the dairy-free ube soft serve and it was so delicious and not too sweet! I loved the mix of textures and if you don't like desserts that are too sugary, it's a good option. The interior design of the place was also so cute! read more
SOY SAUCE BUTTERSCOTCH... O MY GAWSH!!! We came just to give some business to Filipino vendors in Orlando while we were here. Wasn't expecting anything much, maybe just some Magnolia type quality ice cream (Filipino Brand Ice Cream) to cool us down from the Orlando heat. Yelp directions are spot on. There is street parking in front, and strip mall parking in back, all free. Walking in, you are engulfed in a delightful smell of freshly made waffle cones in the air as you enter the premises... gives off a welcome home, warm hug kinda vibe ;) The staff is super friendly and take advantage of their offer to sample 4 flavors because the HOMEMADE stuff here is so deliciously worth it!!! Alrighty... let's eat! BANANA CUE: Flavor choices - SOY SAUCE BUTTERSCOTCH... BOMB DIGGITY!!! BUKO PANDAN... SPOT ON!! UBE COOKIES & CREAM... True Flavor, so not a similar overwhelming flavor burst as the others, but still tasty. Banana is sliced length wise like a traditional Split and fresh, not cooked and caramelized as a traditional Cue would be. But that's COMPLETELY okay with me as this version accentuates the ice cream flavors better. I got mine hyped up with Ube Whipped Cream and nuts. Then fudge on the side so my ice cream wouldn't melt so fast, and it does start to melt rather quickly. For this version of the classic Banana Split, although not gonna wow you on size, their ice cream is the star and the flavor blows you away! I savored every bite! UBE BROWNIE: SOY SAUCE BUTTERSCOTCH here too! My munchkin gave me the stank face when I told him the flavor I wanted to try. I practically forced him to eat the offered sample, but then TRUE amazement hit his face when the taste buds bathed in this flavor. OMG...WOWZA! He proceeds to go 180 and gets the Ube Brownie (warmed) WITH Soy Sauce Butterscotch! Loved every spoonful! Next time will get a double scoop with the brownie ;) TRIPLE SCOOP: SAMPAGUITA... DELIGHTFUL!!! (Son actually got that for me lol) BIRTHDAY CAKE MAMON... Son loves sprinkles so this was his jam. UBE COOKIES N CREAM... Cookies & Cream is his Go To flavor and he loved the Filipino twist to it! DOUBLE SCOOP: SOY SAUCE BUTTERSCOTCH with CHAMPORADO. Son really enjoyed these flavors. The champorado here is reminiscent of my childhood days when we had warm champorado for breakfast. The rice bits and creamy milk chocolate flavor hits the heritage spot in me perfectly. UBE LATTE with KESO GUAVA CHZCAKE was Wifey's choice and she was quite pleased with her selections. Ube & coffee worked tastefully well together. She loved the guava presence but had hoped there would be more queso bits in her scoop. VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION!! Nom Nom Level... Sky High! I enjoyed the experience so much I took pints of SAMPAGUITA and SOY SAUCE BUTTERSCOTCH back to our hotel for an evening snack (or morning pick me up) the rest of our stay in Orlando! The desserts and ambience are top tier! There's always a line when I come so make sure to be cautious of that and grab a table when you can because they fill up fast! They always have a ton of really interesting flavors that you'll always have something new to try. read more

From the moment you walk into Sampaguita, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly made waffles. As you move through the space, it's impossible not to linger between the adorable merch, playful stickers, drinks, and baked goods. I arrived closer to closing time and many of the baked goods were already running low, so if you're coming specifically for pastries, I'd recommend stopping by earlier in the day. The staff was incredibly welcoming and generous with samples, which made choosing favorites that much easier. Since I was fully embracing my sweet tooth, my top picks were the pineapple cake, ube cookies & cream, birthday mamon, and the keso guava cheesecake. On my next visit, I'm definitely switching it up with the ube-vanilla swirl soft serve or the signature Sampaguita flavor. If you're in the Mills 50 area and need a sweet treat, this is the move . read more
About 3.5 stars for our experience. I like the friendly atmosphere of the service staff. The place is not big but it has good selection of the ice cream. I have my wife to choose an item we can share. She pick ube banana cream float from the special menu. The cup has ube ice cream and cream. The taste is there but the there is 30% ice cube in it. For price we paid, we might as well take the three scoop ice cream about the same price instead of item with ice cube in it. read more

I know sampaguita is known for their soft serve and ice cream but they also have baked goods as well. My favorite cookie is the adobo chocolate chip. I know it sounds weird but imagine a chocolate chip cookie with salt on top but instead it's adobo seasoning that's Filipino. It's super delicious! The cookie is moist and a perfect balance of sweet and salty which I appreciate. I give that cookie a 8/10. I tried their new ube dubai cookie and I was a bit disappointed. It didn't really taste like much and the filling was hard and not crispy the way I expected. The ube flavor was not in the room but it was a pretty purple color. I would not get that cookie again. I give it a 4/10. All in all, this place is always packed and the staff is super friendly! It's a cute little treat after dinner and I love that they open late. I recommend you try this place at least once. read more

First time here and have always heard great things about it. I'm lactose intolerant and am super excited that they have oatmilk soft serve. It's soooo yummy! I also find it's not runny which is a SERVE itself!! The service was incredibly quick and we joined the line out the door! Don't let the line deter you from trying this place! They even brought us waters when we were sitting down. The vibe is super cute too!! 10/10! read more

Try Sampaguita Ice Cream. I went recently and really couldn't choose what to order. Then I discovered their Sampler. My friend and I both got the Sampler and enjoyed trying multiple flavors during our visit. With parking behind, two restaurants next door and the Moderne on the corner, your evening is well planned out. read more
my husband came across this Sampaguita Ice Cream place and my little Filipino heart was in heaven. A very cute, bright dessert shop with unique Filipino flavors but still have the regular flavors as well. They have vegan options! Right away, we were greeted and we were very impressed with the amount of staff working. This place does get crowded so trying to find a seat is difficult. We got the halo halo, classic Filipino dessert. The vegan options is a little more icey but the dairy one is creamy and added a more classic taste. Both were delicious. I know I've reviewed this place before, but it deserves the hype--it truly never misses. It's quickly become one of our go-to date night spots. I keep coming back for the Halo Halo (seriously, it's that good), but I end up lingering for the charming decor. Even when it's busy, it never feels overcrowded. There's just something about the atmosphere--cozy, inviting, and thoughtfully designed--that makes you want to stay for hours. If you haven't been yet, go. It's absolutely worth the visit. read more

It's a really cute place, the best option for us since we wanted to try most of the flavors they have, ended up ordering their personal ice cream flight. This spot is just down the street on Colonial from where we had lunch. We came in with a group of 12, and the first impression wasn't great . the girl at the counter looked visibly annoyed, though only half of us were actually ordering ice cream. Customer service felt lacking overall. The ambience is eclectic and unique, with long tables that stretch down one side of the wall, which was a nice touch. They seem to specialize in UBE, so our group tried halo-halo, ube latte, and birthday cake flavors. Unfortunately, the flavors were underwhelming and nothing really stood out. With so many other dessert options nearby, I wouldn't make a return trip. read more
LOCAL REVIEW: The Mills area of Orlando has so many food options to explore. I finally made a visit to Sampaguita and I will definitely return! The ice cream is creamy and flavorful and I really appreciated that the staff were so accommodating to people taste testing the different flavors. The location is easy to find, but be prepared to look for street parking. We opted to have dinner nearby at Lazy Moon which has a parking lot, and then walked over to Sampaguita. We visited on a Saturday night and the Mills area was thriving with all kinds of people walking around. The aesthetic of the shop is tropical and gorgeous. It looks small at first but I think they have maximized on the space with tables lining the wall to the back entrance. The shop was bustling when we visited, but the line moved quickly. The servers were kind and happy to everyone! There are a lot of unique Filipino dessert options and unique ice cream flavors! My sister and I enjoyed a dipped cone with two scoops: Ube Cheesecake and Bananoffee Pie. We also added ube sprinkles and ube whipped cream. I will admit that the two ice cream flavors did not complement each other, but they were individually delicious. Next time, we think the Sampaguita ice cream would pair better with Ube Cheesecake. The other lesson we learned was that the chocolate of the dipped cone is very fudgey in flavor which also was overpowering to both of us. We will opt for the regular waffle cone next time. The Ube Sprinkles were very crunchy. The Ube Whipped Cream was absolutely delicious, it tasted fresh and light. We have a theory that they keep their ice cream extra cold somehow, because while we are indoors, it did not melt as fast as other places! They also sell their ice cream pints as well ($11.72 as of May 31, 2025). I have to also give kudos to their customer service. A few people went up for water cups, and after that they decided to have an employee walk around with a tray of water offering it to everyone at the tables. I thought it was really nice and convenient. Can't wait to return to try some of the other options! My only wish is that I hope they will one day offer some deals on their pints of ice cream. read more

I have some theories about why Sampaguita is always packed, whether it's a Wednesday night or a Sunday afternoon. The ice cream is unique, the place is cute and pleasant (the décor and colors are cozy and fun), and the location makes the shop very visible -- if you drive or walk through Colonial, you'll always see people there, which probably attracts both drivers and passersby. My favorite flavors are coffee, ube latte, and bunko pandan. Luckily, they seem to be permanent menu items. I also recommend trying their vegan coconut ash cone, which apparently is seasonal. read more
While in Orlando, we stumbled upon Sampaguita, a charming ice cream parlor with so many delicious flavors to choose from. The service was warm and welcoming, and parking was convenient with a lot available in the back. I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Orlando to taste their pastries. read more

I'm loving the variety of flavors that Sampaguita offered and we sampled a bunch of them before settling on the Ube soft serve and the Buko Pandan. I wish I could give the 5 stars, but could not due to the actual samples that we tried. For example, the Soy Sauce Butterscotch (which peaked my interest) had much more of a butterscotch taste that overpowered the soy sauce flavor. Also, not loving the pairing of the two together, but it wasn't bad at all. The Guava Keso Cheesecake tasted very cheesy and very good, but the guava taste had maybe just a hint of guava, if any. And finally, the soft serve Ube tasted good, but could've been a little bit better with a stronger Ube flavor. Overall, the Buko Pandan was the real winner tonight. Would come back for this and maybe a couple of other flavors. read more
Overall great experience! My husband and I came straight after dinner around 7 pm on a Friday night and we were immediately able to order. A big wave of people followed after around 7:10 pm, but they seemed to work through the line quickly. It was our first time here, so we ordered a personal mini flight just to try a lot of flavors. They recommend not sharing the flight and I think they're right it is a small amount for two people. We paid $11.72 for 5 mini cones. The prices didn't seem too high and it's definitely worth the atmosphere and unique flavors available. A server walked around with a tray of free water for anyone to take which was a nice touch! We tried Ube Cheescake, Soy Sauce Butterscotch, Sampaguita, Banoffee Pie, and Buko Pandan (vegan). Our favorite flavors were Sampaguita and Soy Sauce Butterscotch!! I've heard a lot about this place but I've finally got that chance to stop by. The vibes inside were great to sit and eat but we decided to take it on the go. They were very kind and the service was quick compared to how many people were inside. But the Ice cream was too notch between the two flavors I got I'm not sure which one I liked more, for now I'm going with Ube cookies and cream but I'll be back to try some more! read more

I got lucky and arrived when the line was not outside of the door. This place seems to be very popular and the ice cream was great. Every single seat was taken, and it was quite loud in there. I love how they have accommodating options for folks who cannot eat dairy. It is a bit on the pricier side and I wish that they had more than one size for the ice cream. Despite it being super busy, the line moved quickly, and the ice cream came out very fast. Great service, especially considering the circumstances. read more
