Saikō is quickly becoming an IYKYK spot in Orlando, and I completely understand why. It's tucked inside Orlando Racket Sports in what feels like a pretty random strip plaza off OBT, but once you know it's there, it's absolutely worth seeking out. Matcha has officially exploded in the United States, and Saikō has clearly tapped into that culture. They have a really fun menu with creative combinations that go way beyond a basic matcha latte, but what really caught my attention was the Hojicha. I'm calling it now: Matcha was the beginning. Hojicha is coming next. Hojicha is roasted Japanese green tea, and it has a completely different flavor profile from matcha. It's smooth, earthy, nutty and almost toasted, without that grassy quality some people associate with matcha. The one I had at Saikō was absolutely delicious. I also love that they're not treating Japanese tea like a trend that needs to be watered down for everyone. There's some real creativity happening with the flavors and combinations, and the menu is interesting enough that I'd want to come back and work my way through it. The location is definitely unconventional, but there's something kind of cool about watching people play pickleball while you're sitting there drinking Japanese tea. I've loved the mango sticky rice matcha in the past. Most recently I tried the pistachio matcha and it was also delish. The staff is always super friendly and offers great recommendations based on your preferences. The cafe area has plenty of seating as well. It's cool that you can watch people play pickleball while you sip on your matcha. The Greenery Creamery also just opened their new location right next door, so I'm sure they'll start to see some increased traffic. read more

Saiko, hands down, has one of the best matchas in all of Orlando.... the blackberry biscoff matcha. This matcha was velvety perfection and not overly sweet or grassy. It was just the right balance and the biscoff paired with it nicely, adding rich flavor with a crunchy texture. I also tried the mango sticky rice matcha and it was not a favorite. The flavors were muted and I didn't really get any "sticky rice" notes from it. The banana cream also felt muted, however, it was better than the mango overall. The service can be slow on the weekends when they're busy but it's definitely worth the wait. Overall, I gave them four stars because of the inconvenient location. This hidden gem is located in Orlando Racket Sports and it's a sensory nightmare to be here when a game is going on. This is more of a grab and go kind of spot than a sit down and study cafe. The ambiance is chaotic.... and the space is tight. I really hope they move closer to UCF or Winter Park in the near future. read more

Its such a unique touch and they execute it really well. The quality of the matcha is excellent, with a smooth and well balanced flavor. It can get busy and the hours are somewhat limited, but the atmosphere makes it worth the visit. Went in the morning, was fairly busy but still was able to order and get our drinks within 10-15minutes. They are doing some seriously creative things with their menu. I ordered the Salted Pistachio Matcha, and my friend got the Miso Caramel Coffee. Sometimes "unique" specialty drinks can be a gamble, but both of these were good and well-balanced. The matcha blend was decent and didn't taste old or leave me with a dry mouth. Nestled inside of the unassuming facade of Orlando Racket Sports, a not-so-secret busy matcha shop kitchen is buzzing with activity. A large bar top faces open seating and a cute cozy couch area right around the corner. I ordered a Lavender & Pink Peppercorn matcha, a tomato bacon pastry and a croissant. The matcha was very lightly sweetened and absolutely delicious, perfect balance of earthy match and floral lavender. They offered to warm up the bakery treats, which was such a nice touch. The croissant was big and fluffy and the bacon tomato pastry was filling and tasty. You are also able to collect points with each purchase. I didn't see the point QR code until after I made the purchase, but they were able to accommodate the purchase I just made, which was excellent customer service. These folks are skilled and kind. I have been wanting to try Saiko for a while and it did not disappoint! Hidden inside of a pickle ball court, this unassuming matcha and coffee cafe is cozy and the right vibes. We tried the lavender peppercorn matcha and the black sesame matcha. Both were perfectly balanced and what each of us were looking for. The lavender matcha was floral but not sweet or overpowering while the black sesame matcha was earthy and smooth, their take on a dirty matcha. 100% would get that again. The place is unique for sure. The coffee was a bit too sweet for me (miso caramel latte) but the matcha was just fine sweetness wise (blackberry biscoff cheesecake). It was a bit packed for a typical Tuesday afternoon, and my order did take around 15 minutes if not longer. I know they were filming a commercial on the side, however the wait on drinks shouldn't be impacted. Also while in line someone asked for an açaí bowl, and the cashier let him know that it's no longer available. Its adjacent to an indoor pickle ball court which is interesting, but the seating is still closed off and nicely decorated. I tried the blackberry biscoff which was delicious and so creative. Saikō is worth the drive and the squeaking of shoes. Saikō is a relatively new matcha place that opened in 2024. It's located in an interesting location. It's inside of Orlando Racket Sports, which is a gym where you can rent or bring your own equipment in order to play badminton, pickleball, and other racket sports. The address is 7059 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32809. I mean, I think the whole racket sports gym thing is really cool. I think badminton is also just really fun and somewhat nostalgic for me as a Vietnamese American. Besides the point due to it being a hidden matcha bar inside of the gym, it is really loud inside of the gym. So not super ideal for studying or doing work if you need a quiet atmosphere. However, it is a really cool place to do work if you don't mind that and they have ample amount of seating. I ordered the Mango Sticky Matcha and Salted Pistachio Matcha. They each had a little card that came with it to describe what it was. They also had a cool way to do a drink punch card digitally, which I really liked. I look forward to stamping that card more! It all came out to be about $35 in total with tip, but I did buy a drink for a friend for a total of three drinks. I absolutely loved the mango sticky rice matcha. The mango flavor was strong with the sweetness of condensed milk. I think maybe crispy rice or something would have really taken it to another level for me. My rate for that one is 10/10. The salted pistachio was very creamy and had complex flavors. Initially, I only really tasted matcha. However, the longer it sat, the more it tasted like a matcha pistachio ice cream that had melted in a cup. My rate for that one is 9/10. I think it's really nice to have more matcha places and the location is cool. I'm sure people leaving the gym will grab a matcha on their way out. A top tier cafe! Interestingly they share the space with a pickleball court. The exterior is definitely a little misleading as many of the surrounding stores are vacant. But as soon as you step inside you're welcomed by a warm interior. It seems like a great place to hang out. And there's plenty of people checking this place out. The staff at the register was incredibly nice. And it didn't take long for our drinks to be ready at all. They explained that they currently have a promotion that if you try all their specialty drinks and collect the corresponding cards you'll get a free drink. The drinks themselves were delicious. Delicious matcha "hidden" inside a pickleball facility. Very spacious and not too loud if you wanted to get work done. They updated from the little paper cards to a loyalty card that you can save to your apple wallet. You just have to order their specialty drinks to get scanned. I Love anything Biscoff , but I wasn't sure how I would like this blend, but the flavors paired together well. I've also tried the Banana Cream, Mango Sticky, and Salted Pistachio. They give you a collection card anytime you purchase a speciality drink and once you collect 5 you're eligible for a free drink . I now have 4 cards. This is a great matcha place! It's next to a pickleball court and a bunch of gacha/toy vending machines. It's a popular spot, about 10min wait due to the line. It seems like a nice cafe hangout spot. Not too good for working/studying though because I didn't notice any outlets for charging a laptop, and it's a little crowded because of its popularity. I tried the mango sticky rice matcha latte, it was good, but the flavor was a little off. I think it would work better with coconut milk/coconut condensed milk/coconut sugar added to it, something with more natural coconut flavor.
