At the Yelp event, I told a fellow Yelper about Le Macaron being the best place to get macarons in Orlando. The store had just closed at the end of our event, and Kevin was cleaning up. He saw us at the door (probably with disappointed looks on our faces) and came to open the door. We apologized and I told him I wanted to introduce my friend to these amazing macarons. I told him I come here often when I'm in the Winter Park area. He requested our selection choices, pulled the trays out of the refrigerated area and placed our selections in a box. I asked if we could have two boxes since I was taking home 3 of them and the other 3 were going home with my friend. He happily complied. We thanked him for letting us in after hours and allowing us to make a purchase. Kevin went above and beyond and solidified my 5-star review of this establishment. So instead of offering that I come back and they add to or that they replace it another day Emily decided it would be appropriate to call and text my phone repeatedly from the store and her personal device. Including cctv footage to show something being poured from a bottle. It was totally inappropriate and unprofessional to use my personal number to text back to back to back. And I was in a meeting. When I became free I called and explained that to her and asked that she have the franchise owner phone me back asap. This incident occurred lat Thursday and as of today I had not received a call back. So I phoned the store. This is when I spoke with Anna who if she is who she says she is (GM and part owner with Jason Vega) is just as inappropriate as her staff. After a few minutes of me explaining my issue was no longer the honey but instead it was everything that transpired after that she told me that I was correct that Emily should not used my number in that way especially because I did not request video evidence. But then asked, "what do you want me to do about it." I told her the appropriate thing to do would have been to apologize for her employees decision within the first 2 minutes of the call. But since she had not, I wanted corporates number. She said, "that's fine, because we didn't do anything wrong!" I just got off with corporate and they beg to differ. They agreed the fallacies of who is who and the use of my phone number was completely inappropriate. I hope that becomes clear to ALL the 5 general managers operating this E. Colonial location.
