I just had the most bizarre encounter with someone named Ana claiming to be the General Manager of this Tropical Smoothie location. I use the phrase "claiming to be" because she is the 3rd employee I have spoken to saying that that was their title. Last week it was a young lady named Emily who also said she shared the role with another person named Valeria. This all started after I simply asked was honey omitted from to go orders of parfait bowls. They insisted that it had not been which is fine. The bottom line was I could not taste it. And for $13 I'd like to taste each ingredient. So instead of offering that I come back and they add to or that they replace it another day Emily decided it would be appropriate to call and text my phone repeatedly from the store and her personal device. Including cctv footage to show something being poured from a bottle. It was totally inappropriate and unprofessional to use my personal number to text back to back to back. And I was in a meeting. When I became free I called and explained that to her and asked that she have the franchise owner phone me back asap. This incident occurred lat Thursday and as of today I had not received a call back. So I phoned the store. This is when I spoke with Anna who if she is who she says she is (GM and part owner with Jason Vega) is just as inappropriate as her staff. After a few minutes of me explaining my issue was no longer the honey but instead it was everything that transpired after that she told me that I was correct that Emily should not used my number in that way especially because I did not request video evidence. But then asked, "what do you want me to do about it." I told her the appropriate thing to do would have been to apologize for her employees decision within the first 2 minutes of the call. But since she had not, I wanted corporates number. She said, "that's fine, because we didn't do anything wrong!" I just got off with corporate and they beg to differ. They agreed the fallacies of who is who and the use of my phone number was completely inappropriate. I hope that becomes clear to ALL the 5 general managers operating this E. Was craving something refreshing on a warm day and happened to drive by Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It's exactly what you would expect from a typical smoothie place and I was happy they had a green drink with spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, and banana. The workers were working hard but it still took a long time to get my in-person order. Next time will probably order ahead of time online. read more

This was really an awesome Tropical Smoothie experience. Stopped by since it was closest to my current location. I had a bday freebie which is a free 24 ounce smoothie on the exact day of your day. It populates in your app. I ordered the mango monsoon which was perfect for me. Mango, pineapple, papaya, coconut, guava, and passion. This was so good and such a good size. The Santa Fe is sooo good! I got the avocadolada as well! It's so yummy! The workers are friendly and the smoothie wasn't leaking all over or anything which I really appreciate. I haven't had Tropical Smoothie Cafe in ages, but I was actually pleasantly surprised during my recent visit. I used to go to the one near my house in Oviedo on a weekly basis, but that was more than a decade ago. I was happy to see that their menu offerings have expanded quite a bit and they now offer sandwiches, salads, wraps, flatbreads, 'dillas, breakfast items, and acai/yogurt bowls in addition to their signature smoothies. I decided to get the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of the kale & apple slaw. My husband ordered the All American breakfast wrap which is packed with protein. I, of course, had to get a smoothie as well and wanted to try the Avocolada smoothie (half sweetness) which is made with avocado, pineapple, spinach, kale, coconut, and lime. I also got a side of their maple sweet potatoes for my son. Overall we really enjoyed everything. My wrap hit the spot and the Avocolada smoothie is amazing! Love that it's packed with veggies and I can't taste them, haha. It was very refreshing in this summer heat and I'd definitely order it again! read more

We came here because we had a T Mobile coupon this week for BoGo smoothies or bowls. The cashier was very polite and helpful with making sure we got the deal. He was also helpful with our requests on making our own smoothies. When we got here, we were the only ones in the store. With tropical music playing in the background and beach tone tables and chairs, the sore gives a "fun tropical/beach cabana" vibe. Parking can be a bit tough, but between ordering on the app or in person you can easily order and customize your smoothie for whatever you prefer. I am a simple girl when it comes to my smoothies and usually will order the blimey limey which has strawberries, pineapple, orange juice, and lime! It gives me the fruit I need, and it keeps me full if I want a quick breakfast or lunch. This location in particular is usually pretty quiet in the mornings so the staff is quick to make my order. The cafe had my order ready before the estimated pickup time, which was a great start, and there is plenty of seating, so finding a spot is no problem at all. However, as soon as you walk in, you are hit with an incredibly strong smell of cleaning chemicals and deodorizer, and it is so overpowering that it almost masks the aroma of the food. When I come to a place that specializes in fresh smoothies and sandwiches, I would much rather smell fruit and grilled wraps than chemicals, especially since scent plays a huge role in how we perceive taste. Unfortunately, the overwhelming scent can really interfere with the flavor experience, and that is something I hope they address soon. read more

Service was really good and the cashier at the front gave me ample time and provided menu recommendations. I tried the Jerk Chicken wrap and a smoothie. The wrap came toasted, which was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting. I got it with an apple as a side, which you could sub for a bag of chips or a banana. I also tried the Mango & Pineapple smoothie with pea protein added. The protein added a vanilla flavor and thicker texture, and the shake was a pretty good size. I only live 10 min away by car and finished ordering after signing up for the rewards program in my driveway before pulling out. Upon arriving there was plenty of parking. I was warmly greeted by a staff member who directed me to the end of the counter. They use a cubby against the wall to organize their pick up orders and seem to have an efficient process for identifying and storing the orders separately. They even check your receipt to make sure you don't inadvertently grab someone else's order. The dining room is currently closed for eating in so Im glad I preordered for to go. Although there was no line I wasnt sure given its lunch hour on a Monday and on a previous visit (pre-Covid Saturday afternoon) they were packed! This location is one of the good ones. Super friendly staff that kept the dining and kitchen area nice and clean. My order was prepared perfect and ready to go in a short time. I'm tired of this nonsense when you order takeout especially it's not fair on the customer to have to take time out of their schedules to go back to have them fix a sandwich and to get it might seem like nothing but for me it's extremely frustrating especially when I have to attend my child who had just been in the hospital. Upon walking in, I was graced by a welcome that flooded my senses with southern comfort. I received my smoothie and immediately reached enlightenment. It was divinity, an 8th wonder of the world. You may think I'm talking about the smoothie but no, no I am talking about this place's lids. The craftsmanship, the durability, the tenacity. I dropped my smoothie for what seemed a 200 story free fall, but to my surprise the smoothie DID NOT SPILL! Best smoothie to get if your not feeling well. I had a severe sore throat. I ordered the sunset rise and a shot of multi-vitamin for $6. I couldn't eat much but this was a perfect supplement as meal replacement. First time at this location and I was surprised at how busy they were around late afternoon. A few weeks later I decide to give it another try (same location), I ordered a thia chicken wrap. When I separated the wrap, low and behold, there's a hair in my wrap.. Management did refund my money. when I went to go pick up my refund, one of the employees was wearing shorts, so short, that the bottom of her butt cheeks were hanging out. Very, very, very unprofessional!!! If you want to wear those clothing on your own time, by all means, that's prerogative, but when your working at a establishment, that's just not appropriate. This location is kind of starting to go downhill. Staff used to be friendly and would greet you when you came in, invite you to use their app for convenience, and call your name for every order, even the online orders. There used to be a shift lead or supervisor who kind of set that tone, but I have not seen her in a while. The difference in the service is very apparent.
