We arrived and placd is empty. We ordered the chicken waffles. And the jumbo sausage. Chicken was burnt. Waffles brown and burnt. My sausage texture was like rubber. Ambiance is good for a pancake house. Only thing was great was our server Rocio. Sorry guys your in a great location and have everything to succeed and gey this packed.

Took my mother in-law once for breakfast and we've kept coming back! The food especially the house potatoes are jammed backed with flavor! Family Home like atmosphere! Love it here!

Breakfast for dinner.... yes please!!! Most days this is my breakfast for dinner go to place but today the patty melt and onion rings seduced me. The meat patty is thick juicy and perfectly cooked. The grilled onions are soft yet firm with a light caramelized sweetness. The bread was soft yet crispy in all the right places. If you like spicy order a side of grilled Serrano peppers which will definitely kick this awesome duo to the nexxxt level. We ordered a side of ranch and ketchup for double dipping decadence! We were going to order pancakes or a waffle but were stuffed from the fantastic flavorful fat patty melt. This will continue to be a good to spot. Service is always good and food is always fresh and hot. Love the classic diner music which is lively but not to loud. Thanks Sammy's for yet another delicious meal shared with great company!

We came here on New Years Day 2026. Located right off of Tustin Ave in Orange with private parking. The restaurant is very clean with many booths. Staff is friendly. I ordered a hamburger with onion rings and my husband ordered the pancakes with strawberries and bananas with eggs, sausage and hash browns. The burger was large, flavorful and wasn't greasy. I especially liked the onion rings as they are Panko crust, light and also not greasy. The food was delicious, generous portions and great prices. Menu offers breakfast and lunch with so many options to choose from. They also offer beer and wine. Definitely recommend, will return! Great place for a meal!

AMAZING! We absolutely love this place. The place is always clean even the syrup bottles which are usually sticky at other places here they are spotless. The staff is so friendly & helpful. The food is incredible and the menu is HUGE! We love their huevos rancheros, the farmers omelette & the tuna melt.

Terrible Dinner I Took my Family for Dinner here for Valentine's Day 2/14/26 I ordered the fried 4 Pc Chicken Dinner if you can call it that! Chicken was so small and Dry I could not Believe it. We all laughed when it came to table! I told the Waitress about the Chicken and she offered to bring more. But Chicken was Dry as it can Get again. So Disappointed with this Dinner I just Left it all there. I did give my Service Dog the Mini Breast. My Wife ordered the Sirlion Steak Cuts with Grilled onions and Mushrooms Also not Great at All!! Portion was small for $23,99 Waitress said she was Sorry than brought the Bill of $78 dollars I am seriously tired of wasting my money at these Restaurants for food. Oh Plus the Tip!! Breakfest Though Here is Great But Dinner Don't Waste Your Hard Earned Money Here!!

The host was pleasant there are benches outside & shaded whips you wait . This little spot was packed which is great !! Once we got seated our waiters were extremely attentive and super friendly. I ordered their ice coffee which alright really basic not a wow fa tire but they'd steak & chimichuri sauce was delicious. Steak was cooked well versus medium like I requested but still te see , potatoes were tasty and flavorful & crispy . Overall , it's really good and nice ambience. I even ordered a few of their fresh baked treats to go like their croissant, banana nut muffin , blueberry & their chocolate coconut muffin. Only downfall is they have ONLY 1 bathroom .. for that amount of patrons is wild to me . Definitely having a secondary one would help . I legit waiting close to 20 mins + plus to wash my hands before I eat is ridiculous.. to the guy that was in the bathroom for a close to 30 mins like Dude.. you heals up the line for myself and 6 other ppl waiting so darn inconsiderate. Besides the bathroom .. situation I'd come here to dine in again and hit the coffee spot across the street Phil's coffee and get a honey haze it's amazing .

We ordered at the counter. The wait to order was short. The service staff were fast and efficient. We found a booth and waited for our order. The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were okay. There was a water leak in the men's room that made the floor wet in one area. The restaurant was decorated nicely. It had a nice diner vibe. The noise level was okay, We ordered a Junior Burger, a Bacon Burger Combo and a side of French Fries. Our granddaughter requested the Hamburger Kid's Meal with Apple Juice. Our order was ready rather quickly. All the food came out hot. The Bacon Burger and Junior Burger tasted good. Both were flavorful and were well dressed. The buns were good. The fries were just okay. Not great but not bad. The granddaughter loved her meal. She ate over half of the hamburger (pretty good for her age). She ate all of her fries and part of mine. The portions on the Kid's meal were generous. The added bonus were the two lollipops that came with. This meal was in a kid friendly paper bag. The price was a bit up there but that's pretty much standard at most burger places.

I liked that they offered flavored creamer for your coffee in addition to regular cream. And their coffee was good. Everyone was nice. We were greeted when we walked in and were seated right away. Our food came out pretty quickly. The first impression of our dishes was kind of a "hot mess". The food was just thrown onto the plate - especially my husband's. He had the Louisiana hot links with egg, hash browns and biscuits. I personally would suggest you ask for the biscuit and gravy on the side - otherwise it will just be at the bottom of your other food. I kinda like a little effort when it comes to presentation. But don't get me wrong, the food tasted good. I had the corned beef hash and eggs which was good - the hash looked to be made in-house. It was good - but to be honest, I actually prefer the old school corned beef hash from a can, that's toasted on the grill. And as for the vibe of the restaurant, it's not real homey. Kinda feels like a diner you would come across while on a road trip. This really isn't my style of a breakfast diner, but it's pretty popular- there were a lot of families enjoying themselves, so maybe give a try and see if it's for you.

Pulling into the parking lot, I knew this was a very well loved restaurant because the lot was packed ~ and it's a pretty good sized lot! Walking up to the door, it's pretty obvious, in a good way, that it's an establishment that's been around for a while. With bustling deli and pastry cases near the entrance, Benjie's instantly gives off a Cheers vibe, even for this first timer. There's a counter to sit at if you're dining solo, or if you've got more people in your party there are plenty of traditional booths and tables. The menu is extensive with all of the traditional deli/diner favorites. In order to try more, we decided to split everything. We ordered Reuben Fritters as a starter, a Pastrami sandwich on a French roll, and cheese blintzes for dessert. The Reuben Fritters were a nice take on the sandwich with a mixture of tender corned beef and the perfect amount of cheeses and sauerkraut rolled in bread crumbs and fried to perfection. The pastrami sandwich was piled high with meat and served with a side of onion rings. We were already getting full at this point, but we couldn't resist the cheese blintzes that were patiently waiting for us to give them a try. I swear I don't live under a rock, but I've never had blintzes before and these were VERY good! We went with the traditional preparation, although I read someone's review that said these could also be requested fried. Definitely worth a try next time. I'm imagining pure decadence! Our server was friendly and kept on top of keeping our beverages filled and checking to see if we needed anything. We left filled with excellent comfort food and an overall great experience. Looking forward to trying some more things on the menu soon!

You can tell they've been around for a long time in the best way. It has that classic deli feel with a mix of diner, café, and old school market vibes. Service was friendly and helpful, even during the lunch rush. We went around 1 PM on a Thursday, so it was definitely busy, but the wait felt expected and worth it. Portion wise, they do not hold back. You really get a bang for your buck here. The smoked fish platter was the highlight for me. I genuinely loved everything on it. It's perfect for sharing (or for leftovers ). It almost feels like a DIY bagel experience you get to mix and match different toppings and flavors, which I'm obsessed with. Also... I tried an egg bagel for the first time and it lowkey changed my life. They make their bagels in house and sell them by the half dozen but they do sell out. By the time we finished eating, they were already out, so if you want some to take home, grab them as soon as you walk in. The Benjie Special was solid super flavorful and packed with a generous amount of pastrami. It did lean a bit greasy for our taste, but that really just comes down to personal preference. They also offer a variety of cold deli items by the pound, which adds to that classic New York-style deli experience. Overall: A cozy, old school deli with generous portions, quality food, and that nostalgic mom and pop charm. Definitely a spot we'd come back to.
