For several years I had a problem with pain in my face and one of my front teeth. The pain had become very bad on a daily basis. It was getting worse and worse and I was not able to function well at all. The dentist I had been seeing said he couldn't find anything wrong with my tooth. I saw several other top specialists and they all said that they didn't feel that it was my tooth. They all blamed the tooth and chronic facial pain on my Fibromyalgia. They said I should not have any kind of surgery as they all thought that it would make matters much worse. I felt that there was some sort of infection and was begging for a doctor to go in and see what was going on. I was then referred to Dr. Ebeid for another opinion. The first day I saw him I couldn't believe how much time he spent with me to analyze the problem and look over my x-rays. He was also so caring and compassionate. He really listened to me in such a way that very few others did. By the end of my visit he said he would go in and do surgery. He felt that it was not my Fibromyalgia that was causing the problem. I was so overwhelmed that someone finally believed me. By that time my husband and I were both in tears and were shocked and so glad that he was going to do the surgery. We both gave him a big hug. The next visit he performed the surgery. During the procedure I could already feel the relief from him removing the infected bone that he found. It was the greatest feeling you could imagine. Out of all the other Doctor's opinions his was the only correct diagnosis. I will be eternally grateful to him for finally giving me the relief I needed, and that someone finally believed what I was saying. He is such a kind and warm-hearted man and cares so much about his patients. I will never forget what he did for me. I would also like to mention that his receptionist Isabel is also very caring and compassionate. When I talked with her she also put me at ease. She would say don't worry we will take care of you. Dr. Ebeid is the best. It was nice to have her there just to talk with while I was waiting for the doctor. She knew how nervous I was and a lot of what I had been through. Dr. Ebeid couldn't ask for a better person to be at the front desk. Like the doctor she cares so much about the patients and people in general. Artisan of the Dental Drill- Dr. Ebeid stayed in his office until 9:30pm working on my tooth to make sure I was pain-free. Does anything else need to be said? Not really, but I'll elaborate. His staff (especially the front desk) are terrific. They made me feel comfortable, and never once made me feel like a burden- even though I was keeping those poor souls there all night. Dr. Ebeid worked on my tooth until it was perfect, which took a massive amount of work. The next morning I was completely pain free. You see, I had a MAJOR cavity in my upper molar. It was so bad half of my tooth broke off. It was rotten, nasty and just plain ridiculous. Not for Dr. Ebeid though. He tackled that tooth like it was his arch-nemesis and never once stopped to rest. I could see the beads of sweat accumulating on his brow as his intense focus practically willed my tooth decay to run and hide. In the end, the decay had nearly eaten my entire tooth away. Problem? Not for Dr. Ebeid. He just rebuilt my entire tooth. At 9:30pm! Who does that? All in a day's work for him. But seriously, he and his staff treated me like I was a member of their family, and made sure I left there pain-free. I showed my wife my tooth the next morning and she exclaimed - "It looks like a brand new tooth!" "That's right, " I said with a smile." Dr. Ebeid built me a new tooth while you were asleep. I was referred to Dr. Ebeid after a year of terrible pain on my teeth for nearly a year. Two fillings were redone as well as bite calibration with no resolution. Finally I was referred to a TMJ specialist and nothing was found. I did see another endodontist 3 months ago and he offered me Sensodyne tooth paste which did absolutely nothing. I was able to tell quickly that Dr. Ebeid was different because he took the time and listened and made me very comfortable in communicating with him. After a thorough history and X-rays he examined me and further confirmed that I do not have TMJ. Before examining my mouth he explained to me his thought process and his strong suspicion of a fractured tooth syndrome. He told me that it was very common but often difficult to diagnose. He was able to isolate the pain as originating from my last right molar in the lower jaw. He was able to duplicate exactly what I was feeling. At that point I was extremely impress and had 100% confidence in him. After he gave me the news of a "root canal" I was more encouraged than not because he promised me that the procedure will be quite painless and it will absolutely cure my pain. Folks this man was right in everything he said and did. Seeing him work with his two assistant without verbal communication is awe-inspiring. I just completed my third root canal with Dr. Ebeid. I am writing this review because he is everything you want in a surgeon for this type of dental treatment. I remember when we first met, it was 8 pm, I was in excruciating pain, my dentist walked me down to his office, he completely understood the pain I was suffering, and he took me in right away, no appointment, right at closing, and two hours later, life was good again. In all three root canals he and his staff were very attentive, he patiently answered all my questions and I had a lot of them. I felt personally each time I came to see him that he took his time to make sure he knew exactly where my pain was and that I was aware of each step of the diagnosis as the examination proceeded. He is very open and easy to talk to. By the way, I think root canals get a bad rap. The procedure is not really painful, a little uncomfortable, but not painful. It is the pain you have in the nerve below the tooth that is painful and can get really unbearable, the root canal itself is a blessing. Lord only knows how people coped in the old days. Dr. Samer Ebeid literally saved my life. I had a horrendous root canal infection and was completely swollen and in a horrible pain. Dentist that started the procedure wasn't qualified enough to tackle the issue. Prior to recommending dr. Ebeid, he sent me to another root canal specialist, but she couldn't help me at all. Swelling and pain were becoming unbearable. Half a day I spent in dentist offices yet they couldn't release my pain. Finally at 6:30 pm I was sent to dr. Samer office. At that point I was completely swollen, emotional and scared. Dr. Samer received me immediately with kind words: " I will take care of you". And he did. Within seconds he resolved excruciating pain by using simple "magic trick" as he called it, yet it worked instantly. He took X ray of my tooth, and kindly explained into details the cause of a problem and how he is going to resolve it. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude and admiration towards dr. My Dentist referred me an Endodonist for a routine root canal. I proudly choose Dr. Samer Ebeid and am wonderfully pleased with his quality of work. Not only did I need a root canal, just days before my procedure a portion of the tooth cracked & broke off! I was really worried that the tooth would not be salvageable, but with the great dentistry preformed by Dr. Ebeid he was able to built up the tooth, just like new (seriously I couldn't even feel where my tooth and the bond he applied connected, it was amazing!!) Upon entering his practice, the staff was wonderful, comforting and very helpful with the forms and the details, as to the work he would be preforming. Dr. Ebeid again went over the details of the procedure and throughout the root canal he communicated with me, keeping me apprised at the work at hand. His demander with his staff was by far the best I have ever witnessed in the medical industry. He is kind and appreciative with each and every one of them. I found it very endearing. About 4 weeks ago, I woke up with pain that was so unbearable I could hardly talk. My wife called our dentist and he was not too surprised as he had been telling me to schedule a root canal on my lower right molar for the past 2 visits! He called Dr. Ebeid for me to see if he could take me in without an appointment as it was an emergency, or at least for me it was. Dr. Ebeid told him that I should go there immediately and I did. As soon as I got to his office, the staff took me in and set me up in a chair. Within few minutes Dr. Ebeid was in to check on me and make sure that I was ok. They took digital images to confirm the problem and immediately started working on me. I could hardly feel the needle or any pain once I sat down in that chair. It's like he worked some magic on me! I watched the procedure on the overhead TV and got a DVD to take home as well. My dentist sent me to Dr. Ebeid who is 50 miles away from me. I did not understand the importance but when I consulted with Dr. Ebeid I realized that this endodontist has the knowledge and the confidence in treating my " complex case". Dr. Ebeid recommended microsurgery which sounded horrible. He promised me that the treatment will be easier than the original root canal and it will cure the pain that I was experiencing for the last 3 years. The treatment went extremely smooth with hardly any discomfort like he promised. I returned after 6 months for a follow up as instructed and he showed me on his digital X-ray machine how the bone is healing as predicted. I understand that the surgery was very difficult any that is why 2 other endodontists did not want to attempt it. I am very grateful for Dr. Ebeid and his wonderful caring staff. This is an office that truly practices patient care. It was well worth the travel time and the fee. Go there if you have complicated endodontic issues. read more

A very positive experience My dentist referred me to Dr. Ebeid for a root canal. Based on a few of the reviews I was a bit hesitant, but I decided to at least have the initial consult. I ended up having Dr. Ebeid perform both the root canal and a version of gum flap surgery, and I am very pleased with the result. Both Dr. Ebeid and his staff were very professional and timely. He seems very dedicated to his profession, knowledgeable, and very focused on the task before him. His staff were also professional and pleasant, and the office is attractive. One reviewer mentioned the CT scan of the mouth, and that is my one possible complaint - it is not covered by Delta Dental (it is $200) and it means the patient gets a fair bit of radiation. But Dr. Ebeid said it allowed him to clearly see the issue that required surgery, so I cannot say it was inappropriate. Although no one would ever choose to have a root canal or oral surgery, overall it was a very positive experience and I recommend Dr. Ebeid. read more

I was looking for a good and experienced Endodontist as I had a very difficult and complicated condition that required a very professional and experienced DDS for the root canal I needed. I interviewed 4 DDSs and did not feel that they have what it takes for my condition. A friend suggested that I consider Dr Ebeid. When I and my general dentist contacted him we decided that he is very capable and have experienced similar conditions. I couldn't have made a better decision trusting my condition to Dr Ebeid's capable hands. Dr. Ebeid is not only one of the most caring, compassionate, & kind doctors, he is also one of the smartest doctors as well. When my wife was suffering from severe pain in one tooth, 3 other specialists could not figure out what was wrong, as the x-rays were not showing any infection. Dr. Ebeid not only diagnosed what was a rare type of infection, that he now lectures on, but he preformed a procedure that cured the problem & completely relieved her pain. I had been suffering for a year and a half with left jaw, ear pain and headaches. I consulted my dentist and general practitioner with my symptoms, but no one could isolate the problem. Dr. Ebeid is a true human being as well as a great dentist. I've been seeing him since 2004 and he has restored several of my teeth with root canals perfectly. Even when I had a bad abscess, he was able to stabilize it and then do the root canal and save my tooth! I find him very personable, thorough and smart. He's calm and a great detective. He really listens to my symptoms, explaining why things feel the way they do and makes me feel cared for. His office staff is very kind and considerate too, especially since i'm usually in pain when I'm there. I was referred to Dr. Ebeid by Dr. Rafii in Novato, for an emergency root canal. As dreadful as this situation sounds, I can honestly say that it was fantastic! Dr. Ebeid is friendly and warm, and a consummate professional. Although this was the first time that we had met, I immediately felt like I had known him for years. His staff are lovely people - caring, polite and kind. I've had a half-dozen root canals over the years, but this is the first one that was so seamless that I had zero pain or discomfort during the procedure - nor the next day! What begun as an appointment with my dentist to replace a loose filling last week ended up with a diagnosis that I needed a root canal, my first ever. With my dentist's referral, I made an appointment with Dr. Ebeid. The dreaded root canal. There is a reason why Dr. Ebeid gets great Yelp reviews. He earned them. To the contrary, the root canal was not what I feared it would be. I did not feel pain. Dr. Ebeid and his staff were very reassuring and made the procedure painless! Everyone in this office was very kind and communicated transparently with me! Everything lined up with my insurance just fine when it came to finances and the quality of care I received was excellent! After having some negative experiences at other offices I am always pretty nervous about getting more work done, but I can confidently say based off of my experience, I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a root canal.
