Worth the charge, so you don't have to do the waiting. Robert assigned a guy named Jay to wait on the Lucali BK line from 215pm-415pm. Our guy was 6th in line on a sunny, beautiful Sunday afternoon. The line was wrapped around the corner when I arrived at 415pm. At first, I didn't know who our line sitter was. So I just walked up near the front of the line and hostess, and I just listened for whoever made the reservation for me, and when I realized who the line sitter was, he requested the correct table time for me and my party and there was no problem. OMG - THESE GUYS SAVED THE DAY! I have never written a review on Yelp before (who does?!) but will write 1000 reviews just for Same Ole Line Dudes. My boyfriend and I were visiting NYC & wanted to see last minute broadway without paying a high fee. Specifically, we wanted to see Merrily We Roll Along, which if you look at prices online - nosebleeds are going for $400 before fees. Insanely hard show to get into! We opted for the cancellation line, where you wait an hour before the show starts for any last-minute cancelled tickets. The box office guy the day before told us this was a good option and as long as we got there 1 hour before the show and were the first or second in line, we'd likely get tickets. However, we also wanted to get dinner before the show, so I (stupidly) used TaskRabbit to have someone wait in line. I booked this TaskRabbit a day prior and the person accepted the task 10am that day of the show. He would have been waiting in line from 5pm - 7pm. At 4:30pm, you know this is coming - the TaskRabbit cancelled. No explanation, no nothing. Which was beyond inconvenient and frustrating because we were already out and about/nowhere near the theatre. To make matters worse, there were no other TaskRabbits available for anything last minute (I totally understand someone not being able to take a last minute task 30 minutes before the task starts, but WHY would taskrabbit allow the tasker to accept HOURS before and CANCEL minutes before the task start time?! bananas.) So, hastily and desperately, I turned to Google search and found Same Ole Line Dudes. Robert texted me back immediately, texted me a picture of the CitiBike he was literally about to take, and I sent payment and prayed I didn't make a mistake. (little did I know they are written up in the New Yorker and trusted by all news organizations to wait in line for much more serious/important things...! THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL). I texted them and spoke to Marcus who set everything up for me. He was very pleasant and helpful. I asked if I could speak to him over the phone and he was prompt to call me to discuss the details of my event. He kept me updated through out the whole process until he assigned me someone. He assigned Robert (the owner) as my line stander. This was for a general admission standing concert which I wanted to be in the front of. I was driving from Boston day of to attend the show and had to go to work first in the morning. The feeling of being relaxed all day and not having to stress about working or my ETA to the venue to line up was life changing! I don't know why took me so long to write this! Same Ole Line Dudes helped me with making my dream come true last year: watching Hamilton. I was new in the city and would only stay for a couple of months. Tickets were sold out and the ones for resale on Stubhub were crazy expensive (over $600 for Rear Mezzanine. Whaaat?) I researched about this company and got excited about, but very, very nervous, because I wasn't sure if I could trust these guys who I've had never seen before. And I had to pay a lot of money upfront, including the amount of hours they would stay in the line (the guy got there at 5am!) and 2 tickets (per Hamilton's policy). They explained to me that they would be able to return the money for one of the those if they got the unclaimmed lottery tickets - or was it the cancellation line? Well, anyways: my point is that I trusted them, based on their reviews and... my absolute passion for Lin Manuel Miranda's work. The end of this story is pure joy. Such an awesome service and no complaints! I will admit, I found an ad that Robert placed on Craigslist, so I was immediately skeptical off the bat. I am usually afraid to trust people from Craigslist! But after digging into reviews and his social media I was convinced that it wasn't a scam. Robert was able to find someone to stand in line for rush tickets to a very hard to get Broadway play starting at 1am. The team at SOLD is incredibly professional and great at what they do. I used them to get Hamilton tickets, as I desperately wanted to see the OBC. Not only did we end up with INCREDIBLE seats (when you're 3 seats away from Mark Zuckerberg, it doesn't get much better than that!), but everyone that I interacted with was responsive, professional, and patient with my 100000 questions.
