Good pizza, but not like NYC, Sally's (New Haven), or Regina. It is however, better than any of the other ones around JP who deliver. The pizza is so good if you order and eat in the establishment. The delivery is quick, but they always bring the wrong order! I ordered chicken WINGS and got chicken FINGERS. The side of blue cheese is something to laugh at and mostly tastes like ranch. The pizza wasn't cut. I actually started laughing when I opened the pizza box. Great, simple pizza. The oven must be inhabited by elves or something because the crust is always cooked to an impossible perfection. Fresh dough and great tasting sauce and cheese. Absolutely fantastic! The food was perfect. They were not stingy with the feta cheese or the chicken on my salad. The dressing was really good as well (so my friend says, I'm trying to cut down for diet). The pepperoni slice was EVERYTHING!!‼ Didn't need to touch it up with seasoning or anything! The crust was a perfect crunchy chewy, and fresh! They sell fast & are busy (in a good way). The wait was not long either. I got a craving for pizza the other day and it was freezing out so i decided to place a delivery order from same old place, after reading reviews from yelp to help me decide. The delivery time was just what they said it was (45 minutes). the pizza was good, but nothing to amazing, the cheese sticks were really good. So for a large hawaiian and some cheese sticks it cost me $26, that seems more expensive than others on who have reviewed would lead you to believe. Best thing about Same Old Place are the people that work there. I don't know if they are all related or if they have all just been working there for years, but they seem to have the best time flipping pizza dough and taking orders. It makes you want to come back and do it all over again. Oh, food is good too. I think I was there one time and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger sub, and the thing was so huge I had to cut it up into little bits. Anyplace that makes subs that big is gold with me. Been going here 30 years. Best "Old School Italian Pizza Place" pizza in Boston. Similar in style to Papa Gino's (as opposed to your local pizza place) only perfect. Their Italian subs and meatballs are also topshelf. My personal favorite is pepperoni w\ double cheese. I would give 5 stars but the restaurant space is kind of low rent and the parking can be tricky. It is worth the 20 minute drive for me. Past a dozen neighborhood pizza joints. read more

You'll go here everytime you're in JP! I love this restaurant, they love me and I'm not white! I'm sorry to the one customer who had a bad day. I have never seen or experienced any racial issues at SOP. (btw, alot of the afternoon and evening staff are non white, hmmm)The owner and staff have always been amazing to me and my kids who come in every week for over 2 years! I had my 2 year old son's pancake birthday party there in that back room with huge TV on a Saturday morning last month and we had a blast. Our service is personable and the owner (Fred) is the real deal! It doesn't get much better than that! I've seen other regulars like myself as well as lawyers, law enforcement, construction, college kids, long time residents, and even famous musicians (I've had convos with alot of them!) It's so easy to be social there and being from the South, it's a perfect hometown spot to slide into for pancakes and a cup of tea or grab a slice of pizza on your way home from work.
