I wasn't going to leave a review, however as I near the end of my kitchen renovation, I felt it was necessary to make people aware of the issues I had. Richard was responsive and timely, however the quality of work was disappointing. I asked him to put in new recessed lights, and each hole was not cut properly, therefore they all needed to be fixed. Secondly, I had a water leak from the faucet prior to starting demo. I asked if he could fix that after I tore down the wall, and he did - however, he used black gas pipe. The leak continued. I asked him to come out and take a look. He dried it with a rag and said it wasn't leaking. I've attached the picture for reference. It was a slow drip, but it was there. I had to then pay for a licensed plumber to come out and fix it. That plumber had to replace the whole thing, so that was money lost and more money spent. The plumber stated that using black pipe is a huge no-no, and that it should have never been used. I sent him a message letting him know what I was told and asked if he could refund the money to me because he did not fulfill the service correctly, and of course he ignored me. All of the electrical outlets were replaced, and each one was not properly installed. When the drywall was applied, I had to purchase extenders. Another fix. Lastly, he never provided me with the 1st receipt of his HD visit after I had already reimbursed him for materials, so I asked for this a couple of times and he finally provided it to me. After reviewing it, I noticed there was a purchase of rat/mouse traps. I brought it to his attention and he blamed the gal at the register. I have a hard time believing that. He refunded me the amount after I asked. Although it was a small amount, it's the fact that he either forgot to tell me, or intended to get away with it. On top of all of that, he purchased misc. materials that were never used, therefore I was out that cost. $3,000+ was paid to Richard, and I had to spend more to fix all mistakes that were made. I'd say it was a complete waste of money, and they're right when they say to call the professionals. I know he has great reviews, however I would just be careful of what you're getting. Lesson learned. read more

Richard responded to my project request right away and was able to come to my house for a consult within 2 hours. He gave me options for how I wanted to replace my water heater and was very flexible and helpful. I had no problems with communicating through text message and he was very responsive. He was able to remove my old water heater and install the new one I bought in no time at all! He cleaned up after himself and broke down the box my new water heater came in, putting the pieces in the recycle bin. He gave me a flat rate for labor before we even decided to move forward with him and stuck to it at the very end. It was a fair price and I am overall happy with the service. It was a pleasure to work with Richard and recommend him to others! read more

Richard came out right away and discovered why my outdoor electrical sprinkler system controller stopped working. After explaining several options for the new controller and wiring that I needed, came back the next morning and efficiently installed the new timer. He even raised it up to eye level for me to program and /or operate manually, when I choose to do so, or program it with my smart phone, as well! He was professional, courteous, and patient with my questions, as well as fairly priced. I highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend his services, and I will definitely be calling him again for any of our handyman needs! read more

Richard is literally a same day handyman. I couldn't believe that he was on the way to my property within moments of speaking to him and one day later the job is already done. He didn't try to upsell me on anything or mark up any materials and actually helped me choose the materials from Home Depot. After giving me a quote and agreeing on the price I ordered what we needed. Richard picked up the items from Home Depot the next day and immediately finished all the repairs I needed to my property. He even patched up a damage wall in my kitchen at no extra charge. I'm happy with the work. He replaced the entry door to my garage, and even had to increase the size of the opening to accommodate the door I actually wanted but that didn't seem to slow him down. He was the most reasonable cost for the type of work that I needed done but I suppose most importantly, he actually showed up and did the work as opposed to other contractors that I reached out to on yelp, who have still not gotten me a quote after several days. I'll be calling him for all of the repairs I need in the future. read more

I don't know where to begin with Richard. We have tried having many quotes come out for a catio to be built under our porch but many other businesses would never call us back or would say the job is impossible without spending tons of money. Richard came out assessed the area and built it in 2 days without breaking the bank. He listened to what we wanted and did his best building the thing all by himself while other companies probably would have used 2-3 guys. Richard is on time and honest about his work and was a pleasure having him do our project for our cats. read more
