Called them to come out and do some work. They broke a pipe outside and left without saying anything. Called them back when I noticed and they then tried to claim it was b/c it was old. Still no excuse as to why you wouldn't say something and then fix it. They came out after hours and even had the nerve to charge me an emergency fee for the emergency they created. Didn't mention this at all, just billed me for it. I complained and it was taken off. Today I called a different plumber out and he noted that Hector's did a shoddy job as they used pvc rather than metal. The pvc pipe was not insulated or in any way protect from the elements and will just rot. Effing great. These people just create more problems so they can come out and bill you!! In response to the business' comment - I addressed this with them in detailed emails (photos included). They took off the emergency visit fee, but that was it. read more

These days, finding an "Honest" plumber is tough! Really tough. BUT, I think YELP helped us immensely. Oh Yes! Our job was simple, yet required some moving of equipment and electrical. We got their bid (we got three actually) and it was, by far, the most reasonable. Speaking with their office reps (two very lovely young women who were raised right) got the ball rolling. We decided to go to their yard, and whew, was it awesome. Got to speak directly to the owner, Hector, who himself was standing out in the pouring rain along with his men. Our Rinnai tankless hot water unit made a funny noise and then quit working. It was installed 15 yrs ago by Hector's when our house was first built. I called them and they came out the same day. The old unit was not repairable but they immediately got me a firm quote and ordered an upgraded replacement unit. While we waited for that to be delivered, they changed all the copper and brass ball valves so the new unit was essentially "plug and play". They were very courteous, good communicators, cleaned up after the job and did it quickly at a very fair price. Special kudos to Randy and his partner who did the work and the lovely Yesenia who handled the logistics and administration of the event. Hector's Plumbing did an excellent job installing a new water heater. The galvanized pipe for hot and cold water had a leak and several rusted pipes. I decided to go with an entire repipe to Pex and copper. They did an amazing job. All staff were professional, on time, kept all work areas clean, fairiy priced, and available for any questions I had. That would have been nice to know on Th. Anywho, tech's quote? $600! for a simple valve replacement. But how would he know it was a simple valve replacement? He didn't text the quote or call me. Our water heater went out so based on reviews I called Hector's Plumbing. Within an hour, 2 technicians and then owner who is now retired, and his son came to the job to explain everything that we wanted to know. From traditional tanks, tankless, and heat pumps. Now that's customer service! It wasn't a sales pitch because I genuinely had questions, and they answered everything. As it turns out, Hector Sr. installed the original water heater approximately 20 years ago! That was really cool! They swapped out our current 50 gal tank water heater and it took about an hour. If we had the time, we could have installed a tankless, but being a Friday afternoon we couldn't wait the weekend and then another 1-2 days for install, otherwise we would have gone tankless or maybe even with a heat pump. So long story short we just went with the swap out of the water heater. BUT what a great company! Very impressed!! Locally owned and they live in and care about the community. I have never written a review of any business in my life, but felt the horrible service and shoddy work that this company supplied warranted a review. We used this business for a renovation on our dream house, and my wife and I extremely regret it. They were extremely unprofessional , rude, didn't do what was agreed upon, and even asked for full payment BEFORE starting the job. Most contractors ask for a third, or half, of the total project estimate. But NEVER full payment! They never did a final walkthrough with us when their "Office Manager" was rudely hounding us for payment on the last day of the job. We are now finding out that they did not even finish the job that was agreed upon. In our opinion, this plumbing business IS NOT A BUSINESS I would ever use again or recommend! I am not the landlord of my home and it seems this is why this company gets away with this, they are late about 50% of the time. They say they've been trying to contact you the whole day when in fact it was just one missed call. Talk about taking you for a fool so they can feel better. That's not the way it's supposed to work. Their work is good, but if you want to be taken seriously I recommend someone more reliable for your renters. Customer service even for your renters does make a difference in the length of their stay. read more
