She scheduled time for a technician to come out and check our situation. Brock came out and sure enough the water heater needed to be replaced. He was patient as I talked with my husband and then made arrangements to come out the next day and install a new tankless water heater. Advanced Plumbing was one of the closest highly rated plumbers in my area on Yelp. I was about 99% sure I had a slow leak and that it was getting to the point it needed to be fixed before damage was done. I called the business right at closing time. They utilize an answering service so they have someone answer always in case of emergency call outs. Sometimes answering services are a little rough to deal with, I figured since mine wasn't an emergency it would be a "call back tomorrow" deal, but they happily offered to book me an appointment for the next day. The appointments are in a 2 hour window which is nice that you aren't waiting around all day. The next day, we had our plumber arrive just a few minutes after the window. I showed him the spot I figured there was a leak and he was in agreement. He gave me a range of what costs may be like depending on what he found when he got up in the attic and we agreed. I figured it would be another appointment to get it fixed, but he was like nope I'm ready to go! He climbed up and it didn't take too long to fix because it ended up being a small leak. He showed it to us on the phone but also, we got to see the leaky pipe evidence when he cut it out and brought it down to ground level after everything was fixed. We had a water leak on our 50gallon tank which had to be replaced. I made a few phone calls to get bids, days before Christmas. Advanced Plumbing Service were the first to be available to come out. They gave me a quote for a tankless I was interested in swapping for a tank, but after a few options and looking at the cost factor being over double, we ended up going with a tank and not the tankless. The technician Christian was very helpful and made the decision to go with a tank and to go with Advanced an easy sell. They were able to knock out the job super fast and also upsold servicing on our other tankless heater, which was a good deal. They came prepared with a tank and took care of us quickly, which I appreciate how they value my time. I was going to wait for at least another quote, but glad I pulled the trigger right away with Advanced as they got the job done. I ended up receiving a call back from a competitor 2 days after service was already completed. Way to go to win my business. Our Water heater was just not doing the job well. I contacted the well known big box store, that shall remain nameless, and got a rediculously high quote for installation, so I called advanced. It was a great experience, I made an appointment two guys showed up, we discussed the issue and concluded it needed to be replaced ( which I was already pretty sure was needed), and they got to work. While turning off the main water valve so I could fix a sprinkler zone stuck in the "on" position, the valve on the main water line into the house broke in the "off" position; no water to the house. Advanced Plumbing was able to get me into their schedule for the next morning. Had to replace the whole main water line from the meter to the house. (House was built in 1945!) Not an inexpensive repair, but needed to be done. They even had to work in the rain, but got it done in half a day. Now I have a reliable ball-valve for the main shutoff instead of the old-style gate valve. They even installed a cutoff valve for the front yard sprinkler zones. Nice work! Thanks!
