With their rapid expansion into Toronto and the GTA, you can satisfy your Shake Shack cravings any time. I've had Shake Shack numerous times when I travelled elsewhere including the US, Singapore, as well as Hong Kong. This will be my first time having Shake Shack in Canada! The Shake Shack menu offers burgers, chicken options, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries, shakes/frozen custards and drinks (including alcohol). Like their other locations worldwide, they offer Toronto exclusive items where they work with local businesses to create unique offerings. They also sometimes have special burgers or collaborations with other restaurants in the city for a short period of time as well. I stopped by this location of Shake Shack on a Wed afternoon around 2pm. The store is easy to locate and you actually pass by 2 other burger fast food places before reaching Shake Shack. There is a step to navigate when you enter the eatery, however, the space is completely accessible inside. As soon as you enter you see the counter and there are many ipads to your right for you to order from. There is seating for about 50-60 people. The chain has a very efficient system where you order with the ipad, pick up a buzzer and find a seat. Your name is displayed on a screen indicating that your order is received and your buzzer will light up and vibrate once your order is ready for pick up from the counter. I ordered the following items: - Single black truffle burger (Gruyere cheeseburger topped with black truffle sauce made with real black truffle oil, crispy sweet onions on a toasted potato bun) - $11.49 - Black truffle fries (crispy crinkle cuts dusted with parmesan cheese and served with black truffle sauce) - 6.99 - Fifty/fifty (half lemonade, half organic unsweetened ice tea) - $3.99 (for a small) My order took about less than 5 min. I picked up my order at the counter when my buzzer lit up and was vibrating. Also got some ketchup before sitting down again. Food wise, the burger was good. The truffle sauce was slightly salty and I enjoyed the addition of the crispy sweet onions on top. The single patty was decent - parts of it were dry. I liked the potato bun though - the perfect vehicle to hold everything inside the burger. The black truffle fries were tasty. I didn't really taste too much parmesan taste despite the fries being dusted with parmesan cheese. I enjoyed the black truffle sauce it came with but also liked having my fries dipped in ketchup. Lastly, can't go wrong with the fifty/fifty drink - not too sweet and the perfect refreshing beverage to go with your meal. Service wise, there was a staff on the floor asking if customers wanted their trays cleared up once you finished eating (I also could have cleared it myself but she asked and offered so I agreed). The food didn't take long to make and I enjoyed my late lunch. Overall, if I'm ever craving some Shake Shack in Toronto I have many locations to grab my burger fix, including the location at Yonge/Eglinton!

Since I've been back visiting, I've noticed US chains here don't have the same customer service or quality and consistency. Case in point, this is the second time I've gotten chips from this location and both times they were stale. I've also gotten them from Dixie Rd Mississauga and they were good. I've never gotten stale chips from a US location. I worked at a US Chipotle between degrees and we never had this complaint. Maybe things have changed or maybe they do things differently here, but we used to make them fresh daily each morning. The only way I see them being this stale is that they keep leftovers instead of tossing/donating. I've tried filling out the online survey from the receipt and no one replied. In the US, a district manager would call within the week. So I made a song... Open to collab with songwriters/arrangers. (Verse 1) I went to Chipotle, thought I'd get a bite, But these chips were stale--just not right. It's the second time, at this same location, Now I'm left with nothing but frustration. (Chorus) Mississauga's Dixie Rd, they were fine, In the US, never had a problem, not one time. Back in the day, I worked the line, Fresh chips daily, morning shine. (Verse 2) Maybe they've changed, or it's just here, Keeping old chips, day after day, I fear. Tried the survey, no one replied, Back in the States, a manager would've tried. (Chorus) Mississauga's Dixie Rd, they were fine, In the US, never had a problem, not one time. Back in the day, I worked the line, Fresh chips daily, morning shine. (Bridge) Now I'm stuck with a crunchy letdown, A sad snack from this side of town. Wondering if freshness took a holiday, Or if it's just how they do it up in Canada-eh? (Chorus) Mississauga's Dixie Rd, they were fine, In the US, never had a problem, not one time. Back in the day, I worked the line, Fresh chips daily, morning shine. (Outro) Leftovers don't belong in the bag I paid, Somebody needs to call, make a complaint laid. Until then, I'll stick to better stores, 'Cause stale chips, Chipotle--I can't take more!

For what you pay it's a good deal. I had the teen burger. It was a perfectly fine fast food hamburger with a fresh bun, leaf lettuce, I think one piece of bacon, probably, pickles and ketchup. I suggest getting the value deal or the combo for four dollars or so more and you get french fries and a drink. The french fries are very good I have a little bit of the potato skin on it. Here is a hint, order them without salt that way you get a brand new fresh hot batch. While the fries are hot and good serving size they had seasoning on it, which means they either had very light salt seasoning or they didn't clean the bin when they put the french fries in it either way they were good and not overly salted so enjoyable. The problem was the A&W root beer. I ordered the diet A&W root beer and it was flat absolutely zero carbonation. I told the employee that and she simply gave me another cup, which is also completely flat without any bubbles. It's amazing that the product the company is named after was the worst part of the meal. The good is they're very few places around here like this open 24 hours a day and the restaurant looks clean. The lady took the order was pleasant but soft spoken so I couldn't really understand her. They make the food to order and stated above, except for the root beer tasted pretty good.

Appropriately named, Crave Wings unlocked the key to my heart with the first bite! As I take a gulp-sized swallow to avoid drooling at the memory of the deliciousness I experienced here. Both the wings and fries were phenomenally yummy! I decided to dine inside because I wanted to experience everything fresh and hot! The interior is lively and well-designed, with good music and an energetic vibe that makes it a nice spot for a night out. The food itself was solid, when it came. On paper, the all-you-can-eat and drink Tuesday for $80 sounded like excellent value. At the start, service was fast and attentive for about 30 minutes, with meats coming around regularly. Then, very abruptly, it slowed to a crawl. Servers stopped coming by altogether, and we had to wave people down, often unsuccessfully. At times, we were simply ignored. A few other drawbacks: - Drinks tasted noticeably watered down - An 18% gratuity was added without prior notice, which was frustrating given the service issues - The service flow seems designed to push sides more than meats, which hurts the AYCE value unless you're very proactive That said, the value can be there if you're strategic and maximize portions when the meats come around and don't hesitate to ask directly. Just be prepared for uneven service and some effort on your part. Overall Copacabana has a great ambiance, decent food, but inconsistent service and transparency issues make this place fall short of what it could be.
