The Reuben sandwich had a very generous portion of Pastrami and the taste was excellent. If you are in this area of Bloor West (which in this area is a bit sketchy I have to say), and looking for a quick lunch with a great Ruben or other cold cut sandwich, this is your place.

Roast Beef Special sandwich tasted ok, but nothing special about it. But I really liked the Grilled Chicken Special; good combination and amount of spices were used and it was cooked the right amount of time. Haida Special (cold) sandwich was good, too. If I want to choose from their menu again, I would choose the Grilled Chicken Special.

More of a take out spot, there aren't many seats in store except for the 2 chairs i saw by the window. A little hard to find parking too. Pricier than other sub shops like Subway, but bigger portions and fresher more unique tastes.

Along with an overall rating, each spot gets scored on redeemability (how easy it is to claim) and actual value. Jersey Mike's Redeemability: 5/5 (requires sign-up up for the news letter) Actual value: 10/5 (A WHOLE SET OF ONE REGULAR SIZE FREE SUB (ANY) and a drink!) WOW! Aside from the fact that Jersey Mike gives out the BEST BIRTHDAY FREEBIES out of all the cafes and restaurants (with absolutely no convoluted process to redeem - the staff were extremely nice and friendly), the sub itself was freaking amazing. I got the big kahuna - the beef was freshly grilled with LOTS OF white American cheese that melts all over, and the delicious grilled vegetables on top. I swear to god, this was perhaps just as good as the Philly steak sandwich I had in Philly if not better (as a birthday present). The store was as also super clean albeit extremely popular, with freshly cut meat and cheese served in an efficient speed. Tho I got a free combo, I also saw that the sandwiches were very reasonably priced - the quality and the price were unbeatable and I'll def come back often. Love that they have different sizes for you to pick from, so we got their giant size and wow it definitely was gigantic! You can choose your toppings ranging from lettuce, onions, tomatoes, oil, vinegar and spices, and more. Since it was our first time, we got it served the Mike's Way which had everything on it. Next time I think I'll opt out of the Mike's Way, since I didn't love my sandwich doused in vinegar - it also made it pretty soggy pretty quickly. However, the sandwich taste itself was amazing and so fresh! I can't wait to go back to customize another sandwich to my liking!

Surprisingly, it was more than comfort food. It was delicate that made me appreciate every bite. When i opened the box, I wondered what those dark pieces of crusts were. Looked burnt but when I ate, I learned that they were a tender seal with full of pleasant consentration of spice flavors and hint of smokiness. No bitterness. Meat was super tender and juicy. I saw the sweat from the meat pieces. Perfect balance of red lean meat and fat. Beautiful cuts that preserved the meat texture, no mushiness. It was generously filled and the gravy hit the spot for me. The sandwich was also nicely filled with a hint of mustard inside. Service was smooth as it was quick to order online and pick up while passing by. Food came on time and we enjoyed the food shortly after while it was still pipping hot. Picked up at the cash counter when entering. There's a few seats inside so would definitely come again and next time to sit down.

Anyone in the Vaughan area knows that sandwich places are a dime a dozen so it takes a lot to stand out from the others. Parmigiana does just that. In the middle of an industrial plaza this place is a guaranteed hidden gem. Upon entering you know right away that you are about to have authentic Italian food. Its a family run business right down to the the cute Italian grandmother cooking in the kitchen. They are only open Monday to Friday until 3 pm or 4 pm so you can only enjoy a sandwich for a few short hours daily. My suggestion is to get out there and try this place as you will not be disappointed. Do you self a favor although the service is quick if you are there after 12 noon you are guaranteed a line up. I usually like to get there just before 12 to beat the rush. Last time I tried the veal cutlet deluxe sandwich. Its the veal but instead of sauce it had lettuce, tomato and mayo on it. The veal was fried perfectly, the bun was super fresh and just the right amount of toppings. Parmigiana Sandwiches just happens to be close by to my work so there will be many more visits in the near future.

I do think my bread could've been a little softer. The tuscan braised beef in my sandwich was very tender though which was great (it did start to get a lil salty near the end of the meal). The sandwiches are packed with ingredients so I ended up getting 2-3 meals with my 2 halves. I liked the il Capo the best. I'm not a big fan of olives, but the muffaletta spread wasn't overpowering and added a nice flavour. The Paulie Porco I would recommend eating hot. After putting some of it in the fridge for later, the fat congealed and so the texture wasn't as good. If you're going to save some for later, I would heat it up again if you can, or just eat it fresh. I am looking forward to going back and trying some of the others!
