My previous frustrated review had to do with seeing multiple less-talented teachers in a row. I had given up on the place, despite the convenient location, and it took me awhile to come back. I'm glad I gave it one more shot. Ask to work with a few teachers before you choose one. I got one who was a good player and an awful teacher and one who was a mediocre player and an okay teacher. Took another try to find someone who could do both. Landing on 4 stars because this journey was frustrating, but I'm happy I found someone good!

I have grown leaps in bounds in a short amount of time now not only able to read but also understand some theory behind music. I have also been complimented by many friends and how much my singing has improved. I was first instructed by Catherine and she is very professional but at the same time kept the lessons interesting and fun. She really helped lay the foundation to that has helped me really understand the fundamentals of music theory. I am now working with Josh and has been a fantastic coach. He's a very positive mentor and has a talent of really dialing in what you need to work on in order to achieve success. I have been fortunate enough on other occasions to work with some of the other teachers and have had nothing but a positive experience and been show great patience. I would say I have a good handle on knowing what adults like...but little munchkins who can't walk or talk yet...I have no idea! Miss Hope is the super hero at Tunes 4 Tots who saved the day. She provided thirty minutes of non-stop fun which included tapping on the drums, maracas and shakers, finger movement songs, and even a tunnel for the kids to crawl through at the end. It was interactive and fun for both the parents and babies and literally my heart just swells when I think about all the fun the birthday girl had. Even my husband was really surprised by how much our daughter enjoyed everything! Miss Hope was able to keep our crowd controlled from age two months to eight years old-- a feat in itself! My only complaint is that I can't get the "Shake Our Sillies Out" song out of my head!

The music taught at class has proven to be a great resource as our baby has grown into a toddler. When she was little we were able to connect and engage with her through the T4T songs that she was familiar with and excited by. Everyone on the Tunes 4 Tots team is kind and genuinely invested in the little ones who attend their classes, and in turn you can see how the kids flourish and truly engage in this musical environment!

No eye contact, no hello, no acknowledgment, literally nothing. This isn't one-off, it's every week for half a year. I say this because if I were a new customer (and honestly, even as an existing customer), it's a complete turn off. And we've had an instructor cancel a lesson without being notified. Instructors can be absent but if the student needs to be absent for any reason, that lesson is not rescheduled or refunded. Expensive lessons for poor customer service.

Vee has been studying with Ms Ottley since 2018 when she was 2 years old. It has been an amazing…read moreexperience with extraordinary growth. My 6yo is a highly sensitive person so her relationship with sound is a powerful and person one. She has always been deeply keyed to any sound including the squeak of a swing. She notices the background sounds or music in movies or video games. Ms. Ottley's school of music has helped her learn a whole new language of staccato and legato and rests and reading notes and chords. It has helped my daughter express how she experiences the world. Vee competed in a beauty pageant and used her piano skills to win the talent portion. She wore her 1st ever formal clothes during the the recitals. She has participated in 4 annual Music Guild events. It's just stunning how much The Ottley School of Music has helped Vee. Juanita's weekly instruction encourages my daughter to stretch her skills and leaves her excited by what she learns. Last week, my daughter performed beautifully in her first recital - an experience that I'm sure she'll never forget.
