My previous frustrated review had to do with seeing multiple less-talented teachers in a row. I had given up on the place, despite the convenient location, and it took me awhile to come back. I'm glad I gave it one more shot. Ask to work with a few teachers before you choose one. I got one who was a good player and an awful teacher and one who was a mediocre player and an okay teacher. Took another try to find someone who could do both. Landing on 4 stars because this journey was frustrating, but I'm happy I found someone good!

I have also been complimented by many friends and how much my singing has improved. I was first instructed by Catherine and she is very professional but at the same time kept the lessons interesting and fun. She really helped lay the foundation to that has helped me really understand the fundamentals of music theory. I am now working with Josh and has been a fantastic coach. He's a very positive mentor and has a talent of really dialing in what you need to work on in order to achieve success. I have been fortunate enough on other occasions to work with some of the other teachers and have had nothing but a positive experience and been show great patience. Can't speak highly enough of this studio. OHHH and not to forget SUPER COMPETITIVE PRICES! Trust me I'm kind of cheap and did my research on that part. Thanks for everything guys!

All what I can tell you is that our daughter was ready to give up because she was not motivated/did not enjoy piano or music. She started with Rok a year ago and she is LOVING piano, studies EVERY single day and I have seen progress that I had not seen in any of the other years since we started 5 years ago. This is to Rok's credit. He is patient, disciplined, very knowledgeable in pedagogic methods of music but also uses his psychological skills to motivate his students adapting to their needs. I could not recommend him more.

He is knowledgeable and experienced in the Russian approach to piano instruction. The kids are receptive to his teaching and reinforcement. Jeff is patient and understanding, and willing to accommodate each student's individual pace of learning and specific musical interests. Jeff hosts two recitals per year and it's always inspiring to see how all of his students have grown since the previous recital. He also fully prepares our children for the standardized music theory tests - he is knowledgeable of the material and keeps up to date on the changes to the tests throughout the years. Jeff is always prompt for our weekday evening lessons and accommodating when we ask him to flex the schedule in advance--which is important to us since we have hectic activity schedules. Not only have my kids learned about playing the piano, but they have also learned about discipline, hard work, and musical appreciation through this experience.

She handpicks suitable pieces for them from different books depending on their levels and skills. She encourages parents to send her videos and gives feedbacks outside lesson time. My piano teacher has a magic piano bench. It's comfortable, lightweight, and easily adjustable…read more Everyone who sits on it loves it and asks about it. While I have a beautiful restored Yamaha grand piano that is everything I want at the moment, the piano bench that I have is terrible. The cushion sinks down after a couple hours and you literally have back pain after your practice session. After several lessons, I finally ask him where he bought this magical piano bench and it turns out it's this local piano store in Maryland called Piano Craft. After several months of painful practice sessions, I finally decide to call Piano Craft and inquire about a new piano bench. I called and left my number and information with the secretary and waited. And waited. A week later, I finally decided to call back and talk to the secretary again. This time, later that same day, a salesperson called me and asked me about the bench. She was actually very helpful and texted me pictures showing me the types of piano benches they had and we finally found my teacher's magic bench! She said that she would get pricing and other info to me later. Apparently "later" means never at Piano Craft so a month later, as a treat to myself, I end up ordering the finest piano bench money can buy from another store. My new Jansen piano bench never sinks down and can take all my practicing! I'm shocked that this place actually has good reviews. If you're a working musician, piano teacher, or busy person that has time deadlines, I cannot recommend them. I'm a person who likes testing out new places with a smaller purchase if I can. If this is they way they handle a simple piano bench request, I can't imagine purchasing a grand piano from them. I've been told they have a nice selection of pianos. I'm sure that's probably true, but this pianist will take her business elsewhere.
