Huge Breakfast sandwich!, fast and no wait

Great food! Amazing service. Family owned business inside Fort Mill Ford. Ppl come here even without having business at dealership. Big portions, homemade food!

    Breakfast burrito

Honestly, this place is a 10 out of 10. Service great people that work there super friendly and the food like oh my gosh, the burrito was just so good. She even asked me if I wanted some onions and peppers and it made it like 10 times better the little salsa Verde sauce on the side amazing just come and try it like don't even think about it. I don't even live here. I was staying in the area. I searched up. You know breakfast spots and I was a little confused when I pulled up to Ford, but I figured it out and it was worth it.

Damn what a surprise! Came to pick up my truck from service at Fort Mill Ford. Had time so grabbed lunch at the restaurant they have on-site. Samanta Cafe is extremely good! I had the Grilled Chicken wrap. They serve breakfast all day. And they make their own in house hot sauce. If you're near exit 88 and looking for a fast diner experience, pull into Fort Mill Ford and check out this place!

    Philly steak sandwich

Great restaurant tucked behind the service check in at Fort Mill Ford. Portions were large (the photo here of the Philly doesn't do it justice - could have easily split one of these sandwiches for lunch), food was fresh and flavorful. Bread for the fried chicken sandwich special was a great ciabatta style bread, and the chicken was Italian style seasoned bread-crumbed chicken cutlets. Philly had peppers and onions on it, and the steak was well seasoned and tender. Can also be found on Uber Eats and other delivery platforms as a ton of ghost kitchens (I think they have 6+ different breakfast ghost kitchen concepts listed out of their restaurant!), so they're willing to customize items outside of their regular menu as long as they make/stock the ingredients for their ghost kitchen options. Friendly staff, tasty food, large portions - I'll be back for sure.

Breakfast in bed. Bacon egg cheese burrito.

Today, they didn't have the Don Ho. Being from the West Coast would love if they had that available as a slice. Tried the godfather of slices - pepperoni and another that I like bbq chicken. Pepperoni was a solid thin slice fold it over or curve it slice. Not much sauce, cheese and what tastes like authentic pepperoni not that bulk Hormel type. Bbq chicken has that sweet bbq that I like. Just the right amount of bbq and a healthy portion of chicken. Counter service - she was helpful and polite. The person cleaning the tables also very polite and quick to serve. It's a nice little neighborhood joint and I could see coming here on the regular.

We ordered a large pizza that was half pepperoni half cheese. As well as a side of fries. The pizza came out hut, and the cheese was all melted and looked delicious. Unfortunately the sauce wasn't the greatest and the pizza did not have much flavor. The order of french fries was the largest side of fries I've ever seen lol and my niece, and I both agreed they were the best part of the meal. The staff was nice, but it was very busy so they were a bit short and seemed bothered when I asked questions not sure if we'll return because there's 1 million pizza places out there that are so much better.

Disappointed with this restaurant primarily because of the menu selection. I had reviewed the menu…read morebefore hand so I had an idea of what was available. Susan M joined me for dinner Sat evening at 530p. We shared the calamari, WAY too much breading, diminished the flavor, just not good. Susan had the Lasagna, she said it was very good and good portion so she got a 'go' box. I had the salmon which was a nice size portion. Not too keen on the broccolini side but the flavor was good. The service from Heidy was good, the kitchen was slow getting our appetizer out, almost 10 minutes waiting on it. Our server came out THREE times to tell us the calamari would be out any minute. It WAS NOT! The BIG issue for me was parking. The 'go Ballantyne' website indicates Valet parking is available. It is NOT! Very misleading and frustrating when you see it in writing and then show up and learn it's not available. Then you have to find and figure out the parking situation. The Hostess at the restaurant said they HAD Valet at one time, but no longer. I also thought the ambience was NOT true to how it's described. Very LOUD, dudes in cut off jeans and tee shirts, kids running around unattended and parents chasing them. We had a group of ladies next to our 'two top' who were loud & cackaling through our entire meal. NOT what I call 'family hospitality'. This place is exactly the reason why I try to avoid the large FRANCHISE restaurants. Then the bill was so HIGH, way more than what is reasonable for what we had, OVER $80.00 not including tip, a diet coke was $4.75, they charge MORE for the exact same item on the dinner menu than the lunch menu, what's that about? This is a Franchise owned by the Cheese Cake Factory so in my opinion, they push 'the MARKETING' message rather than deliver on the substance which is real service, quality food and excellent atmosphere. Got to PAY that high rent at the BOWL. They gave me NO reason to return and I WON'T be returning and recommend you find other options for Italian. It's all hype and little substance. There are so many other independently owned Italian options in the area that offer everything and more than this place.

We made a reservation because we weren't sure how crowded it would be on a Saturday night. Reservations weren't really necessary as the place was not busy. We weren't sure the dress code either, hard to gather from their website. We went business casual but we could have just done in our Saturday afternoon casual as it's not upscale but neighborhood comfortable. The decor is honestly pretty bland. Everything was just gray and there were no pops of color anywhere. The lighting was cool and the wine wall was nice but it just didn't have much character. We were greeted quickly by our server who was polite but not overly friendly. She gave us the drink specials and we got started with a few beers. A runner brought a basket of warm bread and butter which is always a nice start. We ordered the garlic bread and the zucchini fritti for appetizers. They came out quickly and presented nicely. The garlic cheese bread wasn't very garlicky, had more of a rosemary flavor so it wasn't our favorite. The zucchini was shaved and had a nice flavor. Because it was so small it was kind of hard to eat. I like my zucchini with some ranch and we asked for some and kind of got a weird reception from the kitchen staff. I mean we are in the south people - ranch is a staple! For entrees we tried a few different things. We had the white pizza, the chicken francese, the chicken crusted Romano, and the sliced beef rib cut. All the dishes came out warm and with nice presentation. The pizza was the most lackluster. It was just average and did not have much flavor. The crusted chicken Romano was a highlight with a nice flavor from the vodka sauce. The other two dishes tasted good but were nothing amazing. The mashed potatoes were the best side dish. The roasted potatoes were a bit on the burnt side and lacked any real seasoning. We had an overall pleasant experience but will not rush back to this spot. If you are in the neighborhood I'm sure it's convenient but if you want a great Italian meal this would not be my recommendation.
