Barbecue platter

This was our first time at Captain Steve's and we enjoyed it! They'll bring you and unlimited supply of hushpuppies lol. Everyone's seafood dinners were great. I'm not a big seafood lover so I had the barbeque plate. It was delicious and big enough that I got 3 meals out of it! We will definitely visit when we are back this way.

Captain Steve's is a win. Service is top notch. Seated promptly and order taken quickly. Hush puppies arrived and were hot and delicious. We ordered the cheese sticks as an appetizer and they were good but not great. I ordered the pick two and split it between one broiled item (Alaskan Whitefish) and one fried item (Jumbo Shrimp). Side item was the baked potato and when you get the two items, you get another side which we turned into a salad. The fish and shrimp were delicious. The potato was super hot and good as well. The salad as the second side item was a big win because with all the food you get in an order, take the salad home and eat it the next day. I will continue to eat here because well it's awesome.

Captain Steve's is one of Fort Mills staples. I come here often and usually get the shrimp or flounder dinner but this time I switched it up a bit and got the perch dinner. It came with hushpuppies and for my side I got the baked potato. I added a side of collard greens. The fish was good but needed more seasoning. The baked potato was basic but collard greens were surprisingly really good.

Grilled salmon with a sweet potato

We really enjoyed our dinners here. The atmosphere was comfortable, the waitress friendly and attentive and our meal delicious. We ordered a grilled salmon dinner, two grilled whitefish dinners and a blackened tuna dinner. All the fish cooked properly as ordered. The hush puppies were yummy. Portions sizes very substantial and prices very reasonable. Everthing was tasty, plated nicely and came out hot. We would certainly return again.

Salt and pepper catfish is the best anywhere. Got there at 4:30 on Saturday and had a 30 minute wait. It was easily worth the wait.

Ask the Community - Captain Steve's

Do they no longer serve snow crab and if they do , I was told they have a AYCE. Do they still have it?

They do still sell snow crab legs however they no longer offer all u can eat. Pricing is market

Ok..so is Captain Steve's and Captain Ds two different things? I think people get them confused. I did as well. I'm trying to figure out because Captain Ds in Charlotte has bad reviews.

Captain Steve's is in Fort Mill SC and I believe there is also a second location on Monroe Rd in Charlotte. It is a seafood restaurant with fabulous food.

One of the teammates heard this was a good place to eat so we gave it a shot. Seven of us sat down inside the fish market bar and grill. It's a rather upscale atmosphere. The decorations on the wall brought images of fish and the menu accompanied the name and theme. On the fancier side for sure, but not over the top. The welcoming hostess and server were both welcoming and friendly. We all ordered something different, but I'll just focus on what I had. I got the trout. Not sure I've ever had it before, but certainly caught a number of them in the my day. They start you out with bread and sauce. The bread was different, but OK, the sauce was not very good. I also ordered a house salad, which was decent size, and nice and fresh. I wish they gave you more salad dressing options. Very curious how it would taste. It seemed OK, but it was far overcooked with burnt edges and smothered with an orange beurra blanc chili oil. Who thought that was a good idea? The sides included potatoes and succotash. Those are actually both pretty good. Of the seven of us, only one enjoyed their meal. Ironically, they didn't get the fish. Kind of on the pricey side for the quality and food you get.

The presentation on the food is consistent and extremely appetizing. Food comes out hot and usually on their red and black designer bowls and plates. If your table orders several sushi rolls they have these decorative platters (some shaped like a wooden boat and some shaped like an ornate disc) that are almost too beautiful to eat. I say "almost" because there is no way anyone could leave a single grain of rice unattended at our table! It's definitely a breath of fresh air from how overcrowded other restaurants in the area can feel. My husband had their sirloin bento and I had the tofu hibachi bowl. The rice was cooked perfectly and we loved how thinly sliced the vegetables were. We will definitely be back!

The Crunchy Roll is great, and the heavy crunch layered on top makes it stand out. I also ordered the Atomic Roll, which was perfectly executed. Overall, Konnichiwa offers great food at decent prices, making it a top-tier option for a quick pickup.

During the middle of the week I decided to try a newer restaurant I hadn't been too for my birthday…read moredinner! I had been hearing good things about Firebirds in Fort Mill and as this was my special birthday meal I felt this might be the place to go. We arrived a little after 4 on a Wednesday evening. You can see from my pictures that the decor was very warm and cozy. There were tables, booths and combo bench/tables. Also there was a large bar you could sit at and enjoy the atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly and was very attentive to our table. She answered our questions we had like about the Ranch Rings. Turns out it's just a side of ranch you can did the rings in. She also offered us some bread for the table which we never turn down. It was warm and the whipped butter was soft and easy to spread! The Rings were amazing! Very crispy and fully cooked. You didn't get that onion pulling out of the coating that I hate. And there was so many of them that three of us split this very easily! For my dinner I was going all in with the Surf N Turf. A 9oz bacon wrapped filet with a half pound lobster tail! I also got the seasoned steak fries for my side. Again the waitress was great asking what extras I needed with my meal, i.e. ketchup, melted butter, steak sauce etc. For the most part my meal was excellent. The fries were crisp on the outside but had a good fluffy potato on the inside. The lobster was presented outside the tail and was easy to remove and then slice up to be dipped in the butter. The bacon around the filet was fully cooked and not rubbery at all! But it looked like they had cut into the filet to check the temp. I did as for it to me Medium and it was probably a touch over but there was some pink inside so it was ok. Overall it was good but I didn't have that eyes rolling back in your head OMG YUM moment. My parents both decided to try their three course meal. You get a starter, an entree and a dessert for a reasonable price. Both my parents chose the mixed greens salad for their starter. They both enjoyed it and was surprised by the size of it expecting to get smaller portions with this three course meal deal. Again they were surprised when their entrée's arrived. A full rack of ribs and a large grilled sirloin steak was presented to them. Dad very much enjoyed his parmesan mashed potatoes before attacking the ribs. Mom asked for her steak to be medium well but it looked well done instead but it was fine for her. Unfortunately her mashed potatoes arrived cold. Our waitress was on it and brought a side of piping hot mashed potatoes for her very quickly. For dessert mom got the bread pudding which came with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and side of caramel sauce. Dad got the creme Brulee petite cheesecakes. I swiped the ice cream from mom as she didn't want it and poured some of what tasted like house made caramel sauce over it. It was delicious! By the time we were leaving over 90 minutes later the restaurant was getting quite full. The food and service was all very good. It's not the type of place I'm gonna come to every week but for those special nights out when you want a cozy place to relax and have a good meal, this is the spot!

I had a delicious NY Strip cooked medium and an extraordinary salad with a citrus and lime vinaigrette. We were served hot bread right out the oven.
