Once you do, they will only provide lip service and do the bare minimum to protect your home or remedy negligence. As a result, you may be left with major home damage and financial consequences. December 2018: I purchased my home and kept it under a termite contract at Ja-Roy, formerly Dugas Pest Control, that I renewed each year. Despite annual visits to the home, Ja-Roy never identified any active or inactive pests throughout the home. August 30, 2026: I contacted Ja-Roy about extending the renewal and transferring the contract to a homebuyer. Despite multiple emails and calls (via the automated phone system, which routes to a foreign call center), I never received confirmation of the renewal extension/transfer. September 4: The homebuyer canceled due in part to the finding of powder post beetle activity throughout both the subfloor and wood floor. I continued to call and email Ja-Roy for assistance. September 7: I received a call from the local manager who promised to address the issue. September 9: A Ja-Roy inspector confirmed the active beetles. I emailed the manager timestamped photos of wood floor damage by the beetles that worsened, therefore proving activity, throughout the duration of Ja-Roy's contract with the home. I requested that since Ja-Roy failed to identify the beetles, they provide free treatment. September 15: The manager replied that the best he could offer was a discounted rate for the treatment, but that he would submit my case to the company's claim department. In the meantime, since I was on a deadline due to another pending buyer, we decided to move forward with the treatment. The next step was for the company to measure the crawlspace in order to identify a technician to apply the treatment. September 22: The manager assured me he would provide an update on the measurement, my claim status, and the WDIR. As of today (September 29), no one has returned to my house to measure the crawlspace, scheduled treatment, or returned my texts and calls. I have lost my second homebuyer due in part to this issue. And no, Ja-Roy, I will not be "contacting your office," per your other replies to negative reviews. I have contacted you ad nauseam. You have my account and contact information.

Despite all of this work and money spent, I STILL had rodent activity afterward and was repeatedly told to "just wait, it takes a while." **PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY.** From my understanding, the cancellation terms heavily favored the company and included major financial penalties tied to the remaining balance of the agreement. The billing issues became even more concerning: * After already making **11 out of 12 payments**, I was told I could cancel and would not owe additional payments. * I later continued receiving charge notifications and attempted charges to my card. * I spoke with **Shelly twice** and was specifically told there would NOT be an additional **$49 charge** because they were "just picking up bait boxes." * Another charge was still processed anyway. * When I called back, management stated I still needed to pay. I was also told the company "records everything," yet the information later being described as part of my alleged agreement was NOT what I stated during the conversations. I requested copies of the recordings they referenced and am still waiting. Fortunately, I also keep my own records of conversations. When I raised concerns, I was told the employee involved "no longer works for the company." We started looking into companies that treat small areas of dry wood termites since we didn't need the house to be tented and found Lajaunie's. They offer a whole house no tent dry wood termite treatment that comes with dry wood termite coverage as long as you pay the annual inspection fee. It's pricey but the peace of mind that we won't be chasing the termites around the house is worth it. They treated the underneath of our house, the attic and drilled holes on both sides of each door and window to treat.

It was replaced with fresh bait, but I question if that was all they should do ? Doesn't an empty canister indicate termite activity ? My house is raised and underneath is easily accessed. Should not a visual inspection of under the house in the area of the empty canister been done ? I feel it should be done. Apparently LaJaunie's inspection procedures don't require actually looking for infestation. A visual inspection would have given them a GREAT rating instead of a 2. Guess I'll get under the house and do the visual inspection myself.

Company sends a message a few days before the service is going to be performed. You can always call and change the date, customer service has always been great. Trent, the technician, will then send a message when he is in the way and another on arrival. He starts by spraying the garden and then treating the house.
