My goals were to loose 15 pounds and tone area that, at the age of 52, starts moving even if you are not!!! With James I was able to reach my goals and never get injured lifting weights. James is very knowledge and during his section he's truly focused on his clients, constantly making sure your form is perfect. I would have keep on training with him but I relocated across the country. I still use his work outs, and his nutritional advice. I interviewed and tried few trainers where I live now, but they have real big shoes to fill!

I see him 2-3 times weekly and am pumped every time I go to the gym. My fitness journey has evolved a lot over the years, and whether I'm bulking or cutting, James has made sure I have the tools to achieve my goals in a healthy and manageable way. He provides guidance for both my nutrition and my workouts, and I always feel confident that I'm walking away with a solid plan, which I definitely need. James is also my biggest cheerleader and motivator, which became ever more evident as I prepared for my first fitness competition recently. James encouraged me to do the show and to challenge myself with a new goal. I wasn't sure I could do it, but James was there every step of the way to boost my morale and give me confidence. He was patient with me and put up with my hangry moods. As a result, I felt confident and comfortable on stage and nabbed a 2nd place bodybuilding trophy - not bad for my first time out. I will readily recommend James to anyone who is looking to tackle their fitness goals, no matter what they are. He's a great trainer and friend, so do yourself a favor and hit him up.

If you are someone with gym anxiety, someone with chronic pain, or someone with any type of disability/physical limitations, this wonderful gym and specifically, this incredible trainer, is for you. Working with Ben was unlike any experience I've ever had working with a personal trainer, or physical therapist for that matter. He is not only exceedingly passionate about movement and helping others' achieve their goals, but he is fiercely knowledgeable about the human body, our myofascial network, and really takes the time to learn about you so he can best adapt workouts to fit what works for YOU and YOUR body. Working with Ben is not a "do your sets, get pushed past your limits, and leave in pain" experience. He consistently checked in on my nerve pain levels, educating me on what each workout was doing for my body and my goals, and spent my first few sessions intently watching me walk, run, lift, etc. He took note of my biggest concerns - a nuerostimulator implant, relentless sciatica, and general movement anxiety. By my second week, I had gone from being terrified of suspending myself in the body weight back extension machine, to doing 10+ sets fully on my own before we even began our session. My greatest desire was strength - Ben modified nearly every weightlifting exercise to work within my physical limitations, and gave me manageable at-home stretches and routines to implement in between. I quickly discovered that a large part of my inabilities were purely tied to the psychological- you tell yourself you can't do something for long enough, you believe it. Ben showed me that movement of any caliber is achievable, for anyone, if they're willing to put in the work. There was never an ounce of judgement, shame, or entitlement. Ben is a genuine, caring, charismatic soul. I move differently in my every day life now because of my experience with him. Worth every penny. Ben is a stellar professional, and I truly believe one of the best in his field. I am honored to have worked with him, (and if I hadn't moved out of Seattle, I still would be.) Transitioned from weekly physical therapy to lifting twice a week with these fine folks and 3 months in I feel so much stronger and my back pain has improved significantly! As far as what to expect with small group training: you get your own personal workout plan and guidance aligned to your goals with the added benefit of a couple of other folks also working out to socialize with. I love this way of learning about fitness and being challenged and it's been great being on this journey with other folks as well! It's become a non negotiable part of my routine that I absolutely love. The trainers are super kind and friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to modifications but also aren't afraid to tell you when they think you can do more. Devin also has great taste in music This gym is super inclusive and a considerate neighbor to all folks that hang out on Cap Hill. The location is awesome and very walkable but for those days you need to drive you can generally find street parking pretty easily by the park. I LOVE this gym and all the people there, I'm only leaving because I'm moving and even then I find myself considering commuting in rush hour traffic for the awesome vibes

I started going to the gym (another gym) earlier this year but I didn't know what I was doing and would just go around the gym trying different machines. Then I switched to pro fit and saw results immediately. I saw more progress in one month with pro fit than the previous 3-4 months at the other gym! And I'm not even exaggerating. I love that they would put up a workout on the board for me each time I come in and would try to squeeze me in when I couldn't make my usual time. Everyone was really friendly and would greet me each time I went in, and I was pleasantly surprised that all the trainers learned my name. I worked mostly with Chris and he was amazing! I I remember I could not run for more than 2 miles comfortably right before joining pro fit, and three months after, I can comfortably run 6-7 miles and broke my personal record again and again without intentionally trying to improve my running stats. I'm training for a half marathon, and that to me three months ago was unimaginable. They also have a body scale that breaks down your muscle mass and fat mass by arms/legs/etc, which has been really helpful in tracking progress. I had the silver package for three months and they are not cheap. But I'm still very glad that I tried them out and imo it was a small price to pay to get into better shape and more importantly develop habits that will help me with my workouts in the future!! 100/10 would recommend - I wish I could give them more than 5 stars

I also really liked the solo workouts because they give you a routine to follow which is much more motivating than simply coming for open gym. I am very cautious about COVID19 and felt they did a good job of limiting the number of people in the gym, creating "zones", and having lots of cleaner/sanitizer around. The instructors wear a mask the whole time, and it's optional for the students. I highly recommend this gym!
