Located on the main drag by Stinson amongst other stores and eateries, Salty Pup is a spot that dog lovers wouldn't want to miss. It's a cute store with cute merchandise, tasty treats, and friendly folks; also an Instagrammable background for cute pup photos too. Wish I had mine with us!

My favorite store in Stinson. They have a great selection and are very knowledgeable. My go to for dog gifts!

I definitely recommend Prevalent Projects. Their in-store and support customer service is beyond…read moreexcellent. I have specifically been working with Andrea, who has patiently answered a constant peppering of questions. The one question she didn't know the answer to offhand was thoroughly researched and followed up on. She also presented multiple options based on my room requirements in a custom PDF with photos, layouts, dimensions, fabric selections and prices in an easy to understand format -this is priceless in a world where too many choices can least to analysis paralysis. Regarding their products, they are one of the few companies that prioritize non-toxic and sustainable solutions. The furniture is built to last and very worth the investment. My only grievance is that I want it all and my small home won't allow me to!

Their curated selection of furniture and decor is fantastic--call it "Japandi" or "Scandanavian" or "Artisan," "Clean, contemporary"... it's all thoughtfully designed and beautifully made. Love the focus on sustainability, and the selection of *washable* luxurious fabrics. And Julia and Floyd have been so incredibly helpful. They have a knack for picking out exactly what we want--before we have any inkling. Their eye for design has saved us so much time and earned us so many compliments.

4 - 4.5 stars for inventory. Very cute, beautiful, interesting things; however, nothing you can't…read morefind in any global import store throughout the Bay Area - that said, some very charming things. HOWEVER - my friend and I almost walked out due to the atrocious service, which would get one star at best. Listen, we are NOT prima donnas, and we not 'Over The Hill' real housewives - we are grown-up Berkeley kids (so we know all about the nag champa and natural fabrics, sisters) and we know our hippietastic merchandise. But the woman working there (whom two Bo local friends I subsequently spoke to and they told me her name, but because I have better manners than she, shall remain nameless) was SO rude - not only to us two grown women but to the ten-year-old girl who was with us - that we damn near walked out and bought nothing. From the moment we walked in and starting oohing and aahing and 'look at this, no look at this, no look at THIS!' the condescension was palpable. I don't know if she thought we were the aforementioned OTH real housewives or she doesn't like children (and my friend's daughter is very well-behaved, you can be sure of that, we don't play), but the chill and the snark was unreal. At one point the ten-year-old asked her, 'Do you ever keep any of this stuff for yourself?' and the woman snorted at her and said, "Well I work here, don't I?' In the end we dropped $80 at 5pm on a Sunday, and I wonder how often THAT happens there (not). And I'm not the type to think you should kowtow to me because I'm buying, but get some cop on and don't treat your customers like dirt. At one point she was nearly sneering at the child's mother and I because we thought that a decorative embroidered elephant and a cloisonne fish were more appropriate toys than a $30 rose quartz rock. Sure, for an ADULT maybe, but trust when a mother knows her kid and knows what the kid will get value out of. On top of it, she 'forgot' to add one of the items we wanted to buy. I can't help thinking this might have been a passive-aggressive editorial decision on her part, although I could be wrong - but my hunches usually aren't. Great stuff, loved the inventory, but I will NOT be back.

The store is fun, and their inventory is vast, and anything you'd wanna find from incense, to prayer books, to various pieces of flare you'd wanna wear on your denim jacket. Also you'll find musical instruments, clothing, and many spiritual and sacred objects. But more importantly, every visit I have a conversation with Tanya, one of the owners of Kaleidoscope. Tanya gives me an reading, it's something she's very gifted in, and these readings have been both fun and insightful. It's an honor to have crossed paths with such a compassionate and sincere individual, who is offering so much to her community and customers. If you stop by, don't just do some shopping, ask for Tanya and get a reading of your own. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
