    Half steak and Green Beans.

Steak not cooked really how I liked it at first, but we were able to send it back and get it cooked longer. Maddie the manager came right out apologize for the cooking of the steak and had them redo it. When it came back out it was great cook just how we like it. Once the steak came back out Maddie came back to apologize for the mess up and she was very nice and caring.

I ordered a NY Strip medium rare instead of rare like at prime steakhouses with a side of steamed broccoli. I also picked up a Chopped Steak with mushrooms, onions n mash togo mainly for someone else, but ate some late at night too. Both were delicious, well-seasoned, juicy and fatty to the right degree. My steak was also nicely charred well on top. For the most part, the inner redness was right for medium rare. The chopped one had a very tasty gravy, sautéed onions, mushrooms and mash. The somewhat earthy, sweet n savory flavors with the well-spiced, beefy ground meat went perfectly. The cool chopped tomatoes were nicely refreshing with the rest. The broccoli was very soft, tasty and juicy with my steak. Every piece was cooked thoroughly. My complimentary salad was good and even though I hate blue crumbles, I love blue cheese dressing n butter, so got it on the side with my salad. Great, attentive service as well.

I attended a birthday dinner earlier this month. We had a group of about 16. I arrived early and grabbed a drink at the bar so I could take advantage of the HH specials (offered M-F from 3-7 pm). Nkechi and another bartender whose name I can't recall were both nice and attentive. I ordered a Ranch Water with Tajin for $7. Once we were seated, our servers Becky and Brian introduced themselves and started taking drink orders. In addition to the Ranch Water, I ordered the Rosa Paloma. This drink was excellent! It was refreshing and the grapefruit soda was so good! They brought out warm bread and butter for the table which was appreciated because I was starving. I started with the House Salad with Italian dressing. It was good, but there was too much dressing. Next time, I'll ask for the dressing on the side. For my entree, I had the 9 oz. Maudeen's Center Cut Filet. I ordered the steak medium and it was perfect. The filet was topped with butter and it was so tender and flavorful. I wanted to do a steak addition, but none of the options appealed to me because it was mostly shellfish or grilled mushrooms. I opted for mashed potatoes for my side. They were very good and of course tasted great with the steak. When I placed my order with Becky, I requested for a glass of red wine to be brought out with the steak. She suggested the Messina Hof Texas Hold 'Em Red Blend. When the steak came out, Becky soon followed with the wine! With such a large party, I wasn't sure if the wine would be brought out with my entree. The wine was soooo good and it paired nicely with the filet. I was thoroughly impressed with the food and service! Becky and Brian did a wonderful job and the steak exceeded my expectations!

Negs- Drink service slow. 20 mins to get a round of 3 drinks. Food service. Enter and salad landed at same time. Dirty tray left by our table for 10 mins. (Not ours) Positive Server was the best part of the dinner. Food was good. Steak cooked right. Place was clean.

Bread - 7/10 Bread wasn't as warm as I would've liked but the butter was good!

I wanted to go to a steak house in Houston, TX. We decided to go here since it was close by my friend's house. The meal and tip cost $117. The place can accommodate a small or large group. The food was okay. I do not recommend the brisket queso skillet, it was extremely salty and inedible. The Caesar salad was drenched and wilted. The steak was ok considering it's a steak house. Our server was friendly; however, he said he would take off the brisket queso skillet from our tab but didn't. We also didn't see him after receiving the check to get it fixed. He did not come out for sometime so the hostess had to help complete our transaction. I didn't bother asking the hostess to remove the skillet because we had to leave and it took a lot of our time already just to pay especially since the barcode scan to pay didn't work. I don't really recommend this place because the service was unsatisfactory to okay and overall the food was salty... I thought Saltgrass was just the name of the restaurant.

My husband and I always celebrate our dating anniversary with dinner at Saltgrass during Houston Restaurants Weeks. Four course meal with a portion of the money going to the food bank. Food and drinks always great. Friendly and helpful bartenders. And my dinner was perfect.

Houston Restaurant Week is almost over and I just had to hit up one of my favorite steak restaurants before these specials end. Thirty nine dollars for an appetizer, salad, entree and dessert in my opinion is a GREAT price!! I chose to meet my friend here for happy hour because 1) they're participating in HRW and 2) happy hour doesn't end until 7pm. Almost immediately after sitting down, our server Charles, came over to take our drink order. He was attentive to our needs along with another server that made sure to keep the table clear of empty dishes. Before eating, I visited the restroom and came across at least 3 smiling and helpful staff members. One was even kind enough to circle back and hold the door leading to the restrooms open for me. I thought we had to sit in the bar to get the 1/2 priced apps and drinks before 7 but we were told that we could take advantage from where we were sitting. Great! So we ordered $4 frozen mango margaritas, tenderloin bites and asked for the HRW menu. The tenderloin bites were very tender and seasoned well. The grilled onions and mushrooms were the added extras just to set it off. The margaritas were good but they weren't strong. From the HRW menu, I ordered: 1st course- Range Rattlers (jalapenos stuffed with shrimp and jack cheese) 2nd course- Dinner salad 3rd course- Mixed grill (grilled shrimp, grilled chicken breast and pork ribs) 4th course- cheesecake with strawberry and white chocolate sauce After eating the salad and 1/2 of each appetizer, I had reached the point of being full BUT I just had to taste the "fall off the bone" ribs. Just what I thought...they were moist, delicious and falling off the bone! If you're ever in the Pearland area and in the mood for a hearty meal, you should try this Saltgrass. Why? Great food Great service Great prices during happy hour

Met my friend his wife and daughter here for dinner and we had a great time. We ordered off the Houston Restaurant week menu and the options were really good. 4 course meal. I ordered the fried mushrooms, potato soup, cowboy filet, and carrot cake. 5/5 all around!! Service was perfect. Friends enjoyed their meals. We ordered so much foo Ms we had to take a lot home.

I love Saltgrass, but this location is the WORST. I ordered a meal ($60+) through DoorDash yesterday, and it arrived in a sealed bag. When my daughter opened her meal, she found an unknown sauce at the bottom of the container that wasn't even the gravy that comes with the chicken tenders. Additionally, the tenders and fries looked like they had already been eaten. Would you serve this to your children? My salmon meal, which cost over $30, arrived with only five pieces of asparagus, and two of them appeared to have the tips bitten off. I'm not sure if this was meant to be a joke or if this is really the quality of service they provide. Either way, it's not a good way to treat loyal customers. This isn't the first time I've had issues with this location. I have previously found bugs in the broccoli from an order from this restaurant. It's a hit or miss with them--good luck to those who order! As other reviewers have stated, I suggest Meyerland or either of the two locations on SW Freeway for a better experience.

I'll start by saying our service was impeccable the entire evening, I can't remember the name of our waitress, but she was attentive, kind, helpful, and really did make the evening amazing! Regarding food, I started with lobster bisque, and my wife had a salad. The lobster bisque, I would rate 4/5 stars, as it had a mild smooth flavor, but it was missing something that I just could not put my finger on. My wife enjoyed her salad and ate it all. For entrees, I ordered the beef Wellington, and my wife ordered a wet aged steak. The beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. The pastry was perfect and crispy. Though after tasting my wife's steak I regret not ordering a steak instead. The steak was delicious and seasoned perfectly. For sides, we ordered the brussels sprouts and lobster mac & cheese, the brussels sprouts were not as we expected, they were a bit too wet in the vinaigrette style dressing that they were in which made them too soft, I was hoping for a more crunchy, sweeter flavor and the vinegar flavor was a bit overpowering. I will say though that both my wife and I joked that we would come back just for the lobster mac & cheese. YES IT IS that good. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, which was on the thicker side however, it did have a nice mild flavor. Since it was our anniversary and we noted that on our reservation, the restaurant kindly gifted us a small cut of their desserts on a plate with happy anniversary written in chocolate, which I thought was a very sweet and nice touch. Regarding ambience, my only regret was going at such a busy time of evening. It was pretty loud inside, which made it a little bit difficult to hear each other talk. However, I highly recommend others try this place out or come here for a special occasion. It was a wonderful evening!!

We had been there before and previously had a good experience, so this visit was disappointing. From the beginning, service felt off. Our table was wobbly, and we did not receive water until after we had already finished the complimentary bread. Our waiter never introduced himself and seemed very inexperienced. The food presentation was also underwhelming. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium well, but it was cooked unevenly -- medium well on the edges and medium in the center. The mushrooms lacked seasoning, and the cocktails looked rushed instead of thoughtfully prepared. Nothing about the meal felt picture-worthy or upscale, especially compared to other Houston restaurants like Bludorn, Perry's Steakhouse, or Whiskey Cake and many other restaurants in the Houston area. What surprised us most was that no manager ever came by to ask how everything was. For a restaurant with this reputation and pricing, we expected much better attention to detail and customer service. We were also disappointed that there was no complimentary birthday dessert. Many restaurants at this price point offer something small to help celebrate special occasions. The only promotion mentioned was signing up for rewards to receive a free dessert after spending $100. Unfortunately, this experience felt more like a casual chain restaurant than the high-end steakhouse experience we expected. We left disappointed and do not plan on returning.

The meat was really well-seasoned and you could taste some cumin notes in it. The beefiness and fat were ideal and the profile wasn't too lean or too fatty. It was a little firm, yet, easy to cut. The mashed potatoes were really tasty and buttery with enough salt in them. The broccoli was so thoroughly cooked and moist without being greasy. Each piece was almost melt in mouth tender. The service from my server was very welcoming, friendly, attentive and efficient. The last time I got a takeout of the exact same as Sunday night, but requested the 7-Spice seasoning added to the steak since the actual 7-Spice Strip is no longer available. It didn't have the brown butter they cook with it along with mine being 12 oz as opposed to that special which was also 14 oz from what I heard. It was top notch with a lot of peppery, aromatic taste and a sandy crust on top to contrast the middle. Both sides were top notch like last night and both perfect medium rare inside too. I was quite surprised in a very positive way how Longhorn could easily compete with higher end steakhouses and be better than some good ones for sure too.

My partner had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and a small helping of pickles and pickled red onions and I had the pulled pork tacos. My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

I'm sure you will find something you like because of the variety, if you like Italian food. Today I tried the Italian Chicken Skewers & from the Brruschetta Heaven banner I tried the Burrata, bacon, arugula and tomato. The Prosciutto & Pinenut pesto was excellent with the right amount of salt and attitude! The chicken skewers had a beautiful presentation. The bartender Hailey, that took my order was MIA after she took my order. She spent all her time having a long conversation with the hostess. I cut my visit short because the hostess was so loud and unprofessional! She went on at length about how she and her siblings don't look alike! She even described in detail how she and her sister took a trip to Costa Rica and someone mistook her sister for a girlfriend. Shen then said she showed someone a picture of her co-worker who looked more like a sister than her sibling. Ashley took over from Hailey and did a good job. Unfortunately there was so much damage done by her coworkers there was no way to salvage my experience. The atmosphere would've been wonderful. Had the staff acted professionally? I recommend this restaurant. GN3

There is dim lighting inside and the windows are tinted so it's not super bright. I went around 3 pm so while there was light outside, I still felt like it was later in the day. The service for the restaurant was decent. It seemed the staff was short because it took us a little longer than normal to get seated and throughout our experience, we did not get a ton of interaction from our waiter/waitress. The restroom cleanliness could have been improved since the floor did seem a little dirty to me. When it comes to the food, we got the honey ricotta cheese dip which was an 8.5/10 for me, it was light, creamy, and sweet that got to be paired with toasted bread. They do have a variety of wines to choose from and the $8 glass of house red is definitely a steal for that price. For the mains, I got the margherita pizza and my girlfriend got the Texas filet (medium cooked) with risotto. My pizza was decent but I felt like there was too much chopped garlic on it that sometimes overpowered the other flavors. My girlfriend had some parts in her steak that were rare which she was not a fan of. We did also get the New York cheesecake which kind of was the highlight besides the ricotta cheese dip.
