    Grilled cheese, Fries.

    Popped by here for lunch recently. The place was absolutely buzzing on a Saturday. Managed to grab a table, that we ended up sharing with a lovely older couple. I ordered a grilled cheese and fries. The grilled cheese was pretty good. But the fries were a total winner for me. They were better than some fish & chip shop fries I've had in town. I'd like to come back and try their breakfast one of these days.

    An oasis in the middle of Concord. Farm to table goodness. Grilled cheese sandwich excellent. My companions enjoyed their maple-roasted squash and fontina sandwiches and beet and carrot salad. Coffee grades an A+. As homey as can be on a wintry afternoon, Saltbox is a local institution.

    Excellent food, breakfast, lunch or dinner, bakery. They have a number of ready to go/ take home options. The brewery has some very tasty options as well. They put on some great events all year long. The service here is great as well. They have a limited number of seating with a view of the brewery inside and the local West Concord village. A great option for any meal or a couple of them.

    Every. Single. Bite. Was wow. I tasted everything all 9 of us ordered. Including the sauces. Every thing was incredible and natural and delicious and healthy. Farm to table. I love eating this way. I tried so many things that I wanna go home and make now. Delicious and amazing service by the owner. What a delight to find this place here: I just wish I had this restaurant in California when I go home. I'd eat here every single day. All the foods we asked about, he started out...we grow our outside, we make our own ketchup etc. Phenomenal Thank You

    I wanted to love this place after waiting so long to get here. The place is beautiful and well designed. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Perhaps I ordered the wrong item from the menu as I went with the cauliflower Ruben. In all fairness it looked great and tasted just so so. The hardest part was it also just fell apart when I took a bite. My son had the BLT which he said was tasty though served on an English muffin which was too small to satisfy him. With your prices Saltbox you can do better. Enjoy!

    Such a great local spot! We came in around noon on a Saturday and had a great little brunch. For drinks we ordered a matcha lemonade which was very sweet and a hot coffee. We modified the breakfast sandwich to have ciabatta bread instead of an English muffin and it was delicious! Everyone was so friendly and it really felt like a nice neighborhoody spot. They also seemed to host a bunch of events such as oyster nights and speciality dinners.

    The Tack Room's menu is pretty interesting with a lot of things I don't usually see combined…read moretogether. Today I gave it a try and felt that it was good in some areas and just ok in others. Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

    My most recent experience with The Tack Room was handled poorly, and I felt devalued as a guest. I…read moretry to go a few times a year. Last month, they posted a special that caught my eye. We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.
