Margarita, Asada Quesadilla
Lauren ..

Great margaritas for a great price, the drinks are so strong and delicious! The asada quesadilla was also great, very juicy and flavorful. We really enjoyed the rice as beans as well. Ordered a small bean and cheese burrito for $2 and it was well worth it. Great spot with good prices

I live so close to here and wanted to check it out for so long but I'm glad I waited. When I got inside there was no one at the counter. I waited around 15 minutes or so before I met eyes with someone who was coming in and out of the back. I walk around the front bar and tried to get their attention to ask if someone can help me out but they just ignored me. I gave it another 5 minutes before I was going to leave before turning around and seeing a pretty poorly designed and marked self service kiosk that I wouldn't have noticed if not for staring at it too long wondering what it was. I tried to order food off the kiosk and nothing matched what was advertised on their menu. It was finally when another associate walked to the front and I stopped to get her attention and asked if she could take my order. All this hassle just to get food and I was already pretty upset with the place, I wanted it to a good place since I always see people sitting in their front patio so I decided to wait until I tried the food. I got the bean and cheese breakfast burrito and the best part of it was that the tortilla was heated up just right but it wasn't very good. Not to say that it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't very good. I guess I had some pretty high expectation and was met with a burrito that tasted like it came from any other restaurant. All in all I'm glad It really wasn't a good experience here. Maybe it was the time of day that showed up. I'm definitely not giving up on the place, I'll be coming back to see what else is good on the menu but at least I'm prepared if the service is the same as I had previously.

This was our 2nd time here and again, really enjoyed the experience. Staff was kind, friendly, and ready to help with whatever we needed. They got the margarita texture fixed since our last visit so that was great! Strawberry margarita was sweet but enjoyable! Decent amount of alcohol. The food was great , if I had to nitpick- a little too much cheese in the vegetarian quesadilla but, afterall- it's a quesadilla. lol They had the music pumping and lights dimmed with colorful lights lighting up the place. They weren't too busy and food came out promptly.

I came here thinking it was a food truck style with outdoor seating only, and was more than pleasantly surprised with the cute interior. Then we got our food, and it was all incredible. My chicken burrito was a 9/10, the steak quesadilla was a 7/10, the Mexican rice was a 9/10 (very greasy). We got the dip trio and the guac 6/10, salsa 7/10 (kind of tasted like spicy tomato sauce), and the queso was a 6/10. You can order on a QR code which was super convenient, but you can also order at the register or at a self-checkout style register. They bring the food out to you promptly!

Very tasty tacos! I was in the neighborhood for a comedy show at Spiderhouse and wanted to grab a bite beforehand and ended up here. They have a small parking lot and street parking can be hit or miss depending on when you're trying to eat. This is a standard situation for any place close to campus though. Foodwise though this is a great option for food if you're in the area. Tacos were tasty and came out relatively fast. I had a barbacoa and the others in my group got the carne asada tacos. They do run about ~$4+ a pop but solid food. And they even have 3 different salsas, my favorite was the jalapeño one

Rice and beans, margaritas, chorizo taco, Chips & Guacamole (5oz)

this is one of my go-to spots in Austin for a breakfast burrito or taco! I think they do an excellent chorizo! The service is always fast and food is always fresh. Casual spot to do pick up orders or eat in.

Juani is a great bartender, lovely customer service and great drinks love it her! The staff and ambience is amazing and great environment to be in their drinks are great and love their burritos

I really enjoy Salsa Limón! The employees are wonderful and always down to give recommendations. They have super generous portions (huge tacos) and the pricing isn't bad (only $4-5 per taco). Which means you can eat a really filling meal for $10 which is hard to beat in Austin. Their margs are also unexpectedly strong which could be a really good or bad thing depending on what you're going for, but it's definitely economical. I'm obsessed with their salsa selection - the habanero salsa is my favorite! My main complaint (hence the 4/5 review) is that I occasionally run into issues with my taco being soaked in oil. 75% of the time, the taco is perfect, but the other 25% of the time it's really oily and my tortilla gets soft. I've noticed this more with the asada or pastor tacos. However, I will keep coming back and risk the occasional oily taco because they are delicious.

We knew that Austin is a foodie city and it didn't disappoint in the slightest in hitting all those food types that we were wanting to try. We enthusiastically marked off "Mexican" by coming to Taqueria De Diez. It wasn't in our bookmarks to try. I believe we came across it in a Google search or a Yelp search and we're impressed with the review score and decided to go check it out. It didn't disappoint at all. The review score average definitely held up. We got tacos here. I got three Asada tacos and I have to say that these tacos are the best I have had in recent memory. And I am all about tacos. I mean I LOVE tacos so that is saying a lot as I am such a snob with Mexican food. I can say with quite a bit of confidence... and this is even a bigger statement... these tacos may very well be the best I have EVER had. Now, I know that's saying a lot but they were so, so good. Months later from our dining experience there I am still thinking about this place. So if I could give more than five stars I most certainly would. Sometimes the no frills restaurants are the best and that is kind of what's going on here. It somewhat arranged with placing your order a tad bit like a cafeteria (but not an actual cafeteria). You place your food order and then wait for it at the end. Lots of customers take their orders to go but there is spots where you can dine in also. Steve and I did just that and we sat and enjoyed our tacos. So what makes me praise these tacos so much? I don't know for sure but the roll out of flavor on your tongue was just magical. The steak I imagine was prepared with perfection and got all of the tender, loving care it needed to be as amazing as it was. The rest of the toppings were great too as well as the sauces and the taco sized tortillas were probably a likely suspect as well in their perfection. It was so perfect. Taco bliss indeed. I long for these tacos again and if we are even somewhat close to Austin seeking this place out will be a no brainer for us.

The brothers traveled around different areas throughout the US trying different variations before deciding how they wanted to style the tacos. This place is in an alley, and it's very unassuming. It's actually considered a "reverse speakeasy" with a gorgous bar with a disco ball in the front, and mouthwatering food in the back. As everything in De Diez are made completely from scratch (including the tortillas), prices are very, very, fair. Service is fast and simple, your food is made in front of you by very friendly workers

What do I mean by this, well you need to make sure you can find parking because this place is so delicious that it's packed most of the times I have visited. The burritos are generously sized but not over bloated or making your feel bloated, stuffed with tender meat of your choice, well-seasoned filling, and wrapped tight enough to stay together all the way to the last bite. Every one I've had has felt fresh and satisfying without being heavy. The tacos are just as impressive. The tortillas are warm and soft, and the fillings are bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned meats to fresh toppings like cilantro, onion, and a bright salsa that ties everything together. A squeeze of lime over the top and you've got a taco that's hard to stop eating. You will be offer corn or flour tortilla. For al pastor meat, my choice is flour and for carne asada my choice is always corn. The service is friendly and quick, even when the line is long, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on your break or feeding a crowd, Las Trancas delivers every time. Highly recommended. Once, you have place your order you will receive a beeper to let you know when it is ready. I say my wait time has been less than five minutes honestly. They have covered and open seating. Al pastor is on the more firm side rather than fatty soft pieces, I think it's a decent balance although would've liked a bit more soft (personal preference). It's not impressive enough for me to go out of my way to eat, but it's a really good choice if you're passing through already. They're also very quick to get the food out, and the seating area is outdoors but has fans in some spots.

These are honestly some of the best tacos I've had in Austin! I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. I had plans, but the Universe had other plans for me that were superior. The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. I said thank you and made the long walk fighting the heat of the dragon's breath once again. The story does not stop there, I thought 3 tacos, a drink, and guacamole couldn't honestly cost $43. The guilt of spending that kind of money on such little food that was also just average, screamed in my conscience. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife. I took the long walk back, stood at the counter for what felt like 10 minutes, and again it felt like a chore to get me what I paid for. No sorry.
